The loss of art work is heartbreaking. Art lovers should try to save this man's wonderful creations. Wish there was some way to find out how to buy the property and take possession of those magnificent art pieces before they are lost forever. So sad.
Steve Thank You for having so much respect everywhere you go. This felt like I was watching the hermits brother or best friend show us his home and telling his story. God Bless and Much Love Brother
His paintings, I think brought him back to places where he felt "close to home", he missed his homeland which I'm guessing was Amsterdam/Netherlands, judging by the windmills.....I had an aunt (RIP) that was brought to Canada as a very young woman when she met her husband during WWll, she often spoke about going back to Scotland with tears in her eyes, she'd have a shot of whiskey..lol...and start singing Scottish songs...oh I loved her singing😪💔....she loved her home and often mentioned how much she missed it.....she died before her husband and also had an extended family, so she did not die alone, sadly her dying wish was for her ashes to be scattered where she was born and raised....unfortunately, her family disputed over her decision once she passed....they did not cremate her, then buried her in our traditional burial grounds...had that been MY mother, I would have walked on fire and ice to get her back to her homeland......but this story kinda reminds me of my aunt....this man (Al?) more than likely lost his only family, lived a life of loneliness, but who knows, maybe he loved his solitude lifestyle...watching this video made my heart feel heavy knowing he died alone...it is a sad sad story...no one should be alone, less die alone...RIP Mr. Al (I pray vandals don't destroy his home that he loved, but let nature take its course)
Really enjoyed this vid, Steve. My dad was a painter, and when he passed, he had so many sketches, drawings, paintings remaining for us to go through. From huge canvases to sketches on napkins. I think it's very nice that those of us, like yourself, who are creative, get to leave glimpses of ourselves behind. So looking forward to your Japan adventures! Peace.
As an artist, I always enjoy another one`s work, he was very good at it, we put our souls and poetry of life in those paintings, there have been times I painted with my tears, maybe he did too...thanks very heartfelt coverage of this gentleman`s life...love
Frame 12:36, as always you have given life and beauty, through your eyes, and camera lens to this man's life and home. His paintings reflect the solitude, peacefulness of his happy surroundings. His paintings are beautiful, and so sad that he has departed. My condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for the tour, and video Ronin.
The pot on the stove with water and not soup is used to create humidity in the room because of the dry heat. I thought the painting on the fireplace opening cover was the best. It was really great to see he was painting away.
Found your channel last week. These videos are art. Thank you for taking your time and going through each place in depth. It gives the feel that we are there exploring with you. Your channel is the only one I watch for exploration. Everyone else just quickly goes through things without any explanation. Thank you for the great content!
Some beautiful paintings, would be nice to have them on show with a bit of his life story etc, im so glad his home hasn't been vandalised or graffiti thank you so much for showing us, ❤️ from Scotland uk ❤️
Hey your too worried about missing a day and getting behind. Calm down.. Lol. Your videos are professional quality with the editing and music, it's all SPOT ON. Professionally done. Everyone knows you travel, film, edit, etc it takes time... Keep up the great work. You are going to HAVE MY support. Ty
This house was the most interesting house you've been to for me yet! I'm an artist and it was great to see all the artwork. I hope someone sees this that preserves paintings because these should be taken out of that crumbling house and saved! They're too beautiful to get ruined by the elements
Hi Steve, It was really impressive to see all these wonderful paintings in that abandoned home. I had the impression, that the house had somehow a sad atmosphere. - I wonder, if you could feel that also? - Very good video. - I like the way, how well you capture the eerie atmosphere with your camera. - Stay safe and take care. Peace and blessings. - Kindest regards.
first paper, according to google, is Dutch and says "pathology introductory concepts" Bepaling=Determination, Enige bepalingen=Some provisions, Leer der levende wezens=Learn from living things; sounds like a good read. the one that says Plantations De Bombo seems French (according to google) and means Okra Plantations.
i loved this video I love art I love doing art Drawing painting sketching bubble art you did a great job on get the beauty of the paintings just amazing keep up the great work stay safe stay cool
Steve. I have to tell you that you are doing so very well with your videos. I thought that, perhaps, the quality would fall as the production went up. How wrong I was. I don't know how you are doing the daily thing, but you are hitting it out of the park. I especially liked the hermit painters house. It WAS so cozy and homey and the artwork was superb. Thank you for taking us along with you!
Another great job finding this one. The history is very interesting.....Can't wait to see the paintings. OOOOHHH that painting is very pretty, That Deer Picture I have one I did myself similar to it. Great to see these. Those windmill paintings do tell stories of the way things were a few years ago. I love seeing others interpretation of everyday life in paintings. This is so cool. This is one of the best videos yet. Great job. love it.
Thank you Steve, your video's are really well done, no creepy music, just great descriptions and viewing. This was such a sad one. I hope someone comes and saves this poor man's paintings even exhibit them in his honour.
Steve such a nice explore and this dude was very talented! Loved the paintings and glad to see no graffiti and vandalism. Such a shame this is all going to waste. A very talented artist gone so sad! Very nice Steve and love all your videos that you do! Stay safe and God bless you in your travels. Much love from Missouri!
Ronin Army. Great video Steve. I would so love to see this in person. Thank you for this awesome exploration. I wish I could support you on Patreon, but I'm on disability and I don't have the money for it. Keep on doing what you love and I will continue to watch. Next please.
Love your videos so far. Since I can't get out due to COPD, and financially, I get to see places I thought I would never see. You show them with class, and sometimes fun as well. Thanks so much. Look forward to seeing all of your work. Thanks again. 😊💖💛💜💛💖😊
wish I had one of his paintings. If he had any family at all his family should sale them to keep his name alive showing he excited at one time. It is a interesting video because he wasn't only talented and probably highly educated he is someone I would want for a neighbor. Thank you for all you're hard work making these videos.
The paper in the trunk you focussed on is about pathology, introductory terms. Could he, or someone in the family, have studied medicine? Well, it may be because he painted, anatomy and pathology can be interesting for a painter who paints human beings...
Hey Steve, doing a great job. Your videos are by far the best I've seen yet. Thank you the respect you give for each location. Just wanted to let you know the pot of water on the stove is an old time way to humidify the house, I do it in the winter because the air gets so dry. Many thanks, keep up the great videos. :)
I'm from Ohio in the states, we have a old steel mill city called Youngstown Ohio. 5th avenue on the north side of the city is all mansions from the 1940s and 1950s. No idea if they are abandoned or not.
Do the castles of Scotland and England, many of them in ruins and many unexplored underground chambers and tunnels but very dangerous. Peace and Blessings
Amazing!!! I appreciate that you have such a great respect for the people and thier homes. It's very refreshing to see this. Keep up the great work!!! L
His bed didn't seem to have any signs of body fluids, so I'm guessing his body was found not too long after he died. Do you know if anyone has attempted to find his family? When did he die? Is there anything there with a date? It would be nice if his paintings could get recognition. What country is this in? France? Or ... ?
I wish Steve would offer up a free tee shirt to who ever could find the places, like two of them took me an hour to find. But I am a really old person with no life and could really use a free teshirt to sleep in. Make it a challenge to find the place and owner.
Such a lovely home with Beautiful paintings and so sad looking all in one ; can't wait to watch the next series of videos you do in Japan great job Steve I like you better above ground then below ground ( hahaha ) stay safe
that painting of the people in the boat was his last painting, they had just finished dumping a body in that lake and they needed to get rid of him as he saw what they did. Im joking of course. He did have some nice looking paintings

The paintings were beautiful and very unique! They expressed a love for beauty and nature.

It's bizarre. His house LOOKS like a painting. So cool.. Great job.
This was a good one I bet he wasn't lonely some people just enjoy solitude thanks

What a beautiful home. It's a shame that it's not being preserved.
What a charming home! The paintings are awesome!

Such beautiful artwork ...so sad it is just left to rot. I felt so sad for him I cried..so awful to die alone.
It is sad his artwork isn't being preserved.

He might have been a hermit but he had a soft side and loved nice things and beauty...

These paintings should be preserved. Very sad that they left them in there to rot

It's always great to see a place untouched by vandals.

The pot with water in it on the stove in the living room was like a humidifier. You lift the lid off a little and it would humidify the room.
I just love these abandoned houses and buildings
first paper, according to google, is Dutch and says "pathology introductory concepts" Bepaling=Determination, Enige bepalingen=Some provisions, Leer der levende wezens=Learn from living things; sounds like a good read.
the one that says Plantations De Bombo seems French (according to google) and means Okra Plantations.
I wonder where his studio was? Beautiful art work just rotting away. Very sad.
The pan with water on top of the heater, was to add moisture in the air, in the winter. It gets very dry in Winter.
some of the paintings are gorgeous
Someone needs to take all that artwork and donate it to a museum or gallery or auction it before it rots away
Cant wait for the bangers in Japan bro! It was a lovely trip in Europe together, many more to come 🙏🏼🔥
Greetings from Florida love all your videos and the respect you show in all of the places you explore. Thank you for sharing

I like his art work. Talented. I really like the painting of the birch trees.
I truly wish there was something that could be done to save his artwork. The paintings are absolutely beautiful.

I think it was from his Dr., stating the findings of tests he had done and what was wrong with him.
Really neat house. Loved all the pictures made it very personal. Thanks Steve!!!
The paintings are being ruined by humidity, & mildew. That's sad.

Athens County here! Abandoned places everywhere it seems..
Athens county, down by Ohio U? I lived in Nelsonville for a few years. There is a old Assylum, and a giant cross in Nelsonville.
'Great job Steve, The art work was nice seeing it. Keep up the good work.

Hi Steve!! Ur doing a great job!! Keep em coming!!
One of my very faves!✌&💜 always good!!!😊
7:11 That's me lifting the seat in a public toilet.
Sad vibe.. If only walls could talk you can feel the loneliness of the owner of that house when he is still alive :(
He is a talented painter
Looks like he may have been a widower.
Appreciate all you do for us, that why we love your videos ❤️👍🏽
Hi Steve, i love all your videos💖 it seems like im traveling the past. Always take care, my prayer is always with you. From Philippines☺

Steve all you videos are Amazing thank you for every one rest take a break and enjoy your evening.🎑📸📷📹
Nice video nice paintings
In all seriousness though, I would totally buy that property just to get those paintings, holy shit. they are super nice.
Someone..like an art guild should contacted to remove artwork before it's destroyed by the elements. Too beautiful to just for there!!!
I wish Steve would offer up a free tee shirt to who ever could find the places, like two of them took me an hour to find. But I am a really old person with no life and could really use a free teshirt to sleep in.
Make it a challenge to find the place and owner.
That was beautiful. I should keep my house clean in case I don't wake up.
This how I’ll go, but with all my fur children beside me. Dope vid and also soo sad!
Great video as always Steve added your Discord also !
