@@ramonpolanco3221 Thanks😄
You're very welcome 👍🙏
I live in Orlando. 45 minutes from the East Coast, and less than 2 hours from the west coast. I love it 👍🏽
Glad you like it!
The people moving from the Northeast is a good reason to live on the gulf coast.
When i was younger I lived for a time in Ft Lauderdale. It was great in my 20s for a singles party town. Now that I am older the west coast and its laid back lifestyle is much more comfortable for me (as well as less expensive). I've outgrown my party days and anyway I love our sunsets.
I feel just like you right about now. I have lived the fast life in Miami for over 13 years, and I too love the sunsets over the gulf 😀
Can't beat a sunset on the West Coast.
If I were to move anywhere on the west coast, it would be the Tampa area. Just like you said Tampa seems to be up and coming too which helps compensate for how sleepy the rest of the West Coast is. Plus having another up and coming major metro 90 minutes away (Orlando) is a nice bonus.
Yes those sunsets are amazing. One of my favorite things about the West Coast of Florida. And like you said Tampa's location is great and convenient
This is one of the best break downs & comparisons on East Coast Florida to West Coast Florida!!! Thanks for the heads up about the shade in the late afternoon from the tall buildings on the East Coast & missing out on the sunsets that the West Coast gets to enjoy... that comment really got me. Hard to give that up!!!
Thanks a lot! Yeah it's not something most people think about. You can see sunsets here over the bay or if you're on a high floor of a building but you're not gonna get those sunsets going down over the ocean every single day 👌
I was born in Miami but if I could return home I'd rather live farther north... Boca? Only if I could fix and take my car!
@@YvonneTheArtist Its a little more tame up that way, and a bit cheaper
Thank you for all of the Tampa exceptions you put in there! Definitely different than the rest of the west coast. Loved the video!
Haha yes, I love Tampa, looking forward to visiting later this year. I totally agree Tampa stands out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the west coast LOL. Nice to see you in the comments Melanie😀
Went to Tampa and Clearwater area on a vacation with my wife back in October for 10 days and we had really good time. Great video like always
Yes that whole area is a good time for sure, I'm sure you guys had a blast. Thanks Kire!
Good info Mike, that's how I compare the 2 also, I lived in Clearwater, Brooksville fl. Then moved to coconutcreek, south beach, now we stay in Pembroke pines for the winter. I love the east coast.great video.
Thanks Dan! So you know exactly what I'm talking about with this video. I love both coasts for different reasons and I can certainly enjoy spending time in either spot. I think living permanently though is still better for me on the East Coast
I lived in SE Florida for 29 years and currently living in SW florida for the past 7 years. I thought this video was an excellent description of the differences of the 2 coasts.
Thanks a lot for backing me up!
Yes, but K Schumacher, which do you prefer now that you have many years on both sides?
Thanks again Michael for sharing your knowledge of Miami I’ve learned so much about your area through your channel and it’s very much appreciated. Best Regards
You're welcome Peter! Its a pleasure for me to do this and honestly makes me very happy to hear that people like yourself are enjoying my work so much. Thanks for always watching and supporting the channel😀
Those on the east coast get to see the shuttle/rockets lift off!!!
Very genuine and first-handed info there, Thanks for the quality content.
Thank you very much Dan!!
Yup, I live in Southwest Florida and he is pretty much right about everything. We came from the northeast but liked the lower traffic and laid back vibe of SW Florida and lower cost of living. We bought a house on the water with a boat dock, boat lift, pool, 2 car garage, in a waterfront town with waterfront resturants. We go boating and jet skiing alot all year long. We could not afford all that on the east coast. And the traffic is a small fraction of the east coast. All of my neighbors are retired mid westerners who brought their money with them. The joke we tell is that we don't have demographics. We have one demographic: Retired Midwestern white republicans.
Thanks it’s nice to hear that you are living your dreams down on the West Coast. And I’m pretty sure that joke is true LOL
What town if you don't mind me asking? I know St Pete housing prices aren't that cheap
@@stevend481 St Pete is high price. We live in Punta Gorda, between Sarasota and Ft Myers.
St Pete and Tampa vote democrat.
@@deeplorable8988 Glad to hear that.
Great input, I never really thought about it but what you said is spot on
Thanks Jill, glad you enjoyed it😊
You definitely explained many important points, filled up with experience and knowledge. Thank you!! 👍🙏
Glad you got value from the video!
I must say St Pete, particularly the downtown area, has really come a long way as far as development. I used to visit there in the '80s and 90's and it was a sleeper town but now you have beautiful high rises being constructed. Sarasota is also a lovely city.
I guess it depends on whether you consider development a good thing or bad thing. I loved St.Pete are back in the 80's and 90's. It is the same problem we are seeing in my hometown in Naples. And it is becoming increasingly unaffordable.
That was a great job of highlighting East vs West Coasts.
Thank you Mike!
Very informative video! Thank you very much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
All great and accurate points! I'm 52 and considering moving from Boca to Bradenton, already have many friends on the west coast. I ride Motorcycles and it's just too congested on the southeast side, not to mention Everything is a North-South, East-West grid. No exciting roads for riding. Also when it comes to boating, if you have a small craft you're pretty much relegated to the Intercoastal, and it gets pretty boring going slow north and south. I am a morning person and love walking to the beach to watch the sunrise, but think I can easily get used to the sunsets! lol Great video, thanks
Glad you like the video! That is a great reason to move to the West Coast. Having more space and less danger when riding motorcycles and the boating are two huge factors. Good points and I think you're going to enjoy the West Coast a lot more 👌
Michael, Thank you so very much for your honesty! You have made it much easier for me make my decision. 😊
You are so welcome, so happy I could help!
Great information. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Great video always releasing great content!
Thank you very much Jonathan!
You pretty much hit on the major differences between the two coasts, though there are variables within each coast that could sway one in favor over the other. Even on the SE Atlantic coast, there is a different level of excitement/activity from the Palm Beaches down to FLL and Miami. Regardless of which of the 3 you choose, you still l have access to the other two. As a tourist just looking for sun, sand and a party, many are lured to the Gulf coast, as it has nicer sand and the epic sunsets. However different parts of the Atlantic Coast have areas close to the Intracoastal, where you can see sunrise on the ocean, and sunset over the Intracoastal. Greater Tampa has lots of variety from Sarasota, Bradenton, St Pete, Tampa and Clearwater, and the downtown is happening now. Due to being more spread out, the traffic is not all funneled into one narrow strip along I-95, as it is in Miami. I wish there were better access between to the 2 coasts - quick, frequent cheap flights, or trains (I know Brightline will be expanding to include West Palm to Orlando, and Orlando to Tampa, but right now, the ugly boring drive across Rt 60, or crossing Alligator Alley and using I-75 are the only options. I think each coast gives you the chance to choose culture, quiet, high energy, etc. In the heat of summer, the breezes on the Atlantic are better, and the sun dipping behind buildings brings earlier shade to the beach (though that can be a negative in winter). I am no expert, and only 1 opinion (I love many different areas), but my favorites are the Palm Beaches on the Atlantic Coast and Sarasota/Siesta Key and Hyde Park in Tampa, on the West Coast, but lots of other beautiful areas. I could never live in a sleepy retirement area with no culture, and just early bird dinners and shuffleboard, but I also do not really want the intensity of Miami proper for year round living either - probably why I like the areas I mentioned the best. I think the suggestion of breaking down each coast into 6 or 8 mini-sections and doing a video on each, as well as Orlando and Ocala/the Villages would be valuable for lots of people, especially for those who have never been to Florida, or to only one small part. Interesting there was another video I watched about 10 best cities in Florida, and Dunedin came in #1 - the town where my grandparents lived for 40 years (just north of Clearwater Beach), and the first place in Florida I ever knew!
I like calm beaches, so West Coast for me!

I agree about the Hurricanes especially hitting the Panhandle.
Yep the panhandle gets more landfalls than anywhere else in Florida up to now
West coast is definitely where you want to be. Good luck with the chaos of the east coast
I love the west coast. Anna Maria island, Passé Grill, just beautiful
One really cool thing I like about living on the east coast of Florida is that you can go surf in the morning and go look for shells and just hang out on the Gulf in the afternoon.

That's an excellent point about the Red Tide. My family and I experienced it personally before we knew what it was. We had just driven from Miami to visit my sister-in-law in Port Charlotte.
We stopped in Bonita Springs and thought we'd head to the beach. As we approached, walking through one of those long paths from the six-car parking lots to the beach, I told my wife, gosh, they must be cooking crabs out here on the beach.
As we got closer and started to enter the sandy area, we noticed there were no people on the beach, yet the smell of crabs got stronger and stronger. We did finally see one couple about 400 yards away. I scurried over to them as they lounged in their lounge chairs and asked them, 'what in the world is going on?' Why is the smell of crab and fish so strong - and where are all the people.
The guy said, "It's the Red Tide. Look over there," as he pointed to a mass of something on the beach. I walked over and then noticed the mass was all up and down the beach. The mass were dead fish, all beached and rotting along the shoreline. No wonder it stinks out here. Of course, now that I realized what I was smelling, the smell matched with my senses and it dawned upon me how bad the smell actually pierced my senses.
That solidified my reason to not move to the Gulf Coast side of Florida. The Red Tide is a bummer. It's supposed to only happen only a few times every 10 or 15 years, but just in my five years of looking for where we are going to live, we have experienced it twice. The second time, we knew immediately what it was.
That was enough for me. Besides, like Michael Bordenaro says, the waves are non-existent. For me and my family, it's the East Coast. Now, to pin down exactly where on the East Coast - well, that's the next chapter!
Wow what a story! You definitely found out the hard way about the red tide. At least now you know the East Coast is for you and like you said just need to nail down a spot. But I did some videos about affordable condos near the beach and there are plenty of them all up and down the Florida coast in some beautiful areas
@@MichaelBordenaro lol, what I didn't say was when we got to my sister-in-law's house, the major news story of the evening was the Red Tide. It was quite the phenomenon. I see that you have your instruments in your videos. Clearly, you play guitar. But where do you play? We will be back in August, staying in the Residence Inn on Miami Beach. If you are performing near that during that time of the year, we may come check you out. We can talk real estate too, since you are an East Coast of Florida realtor.
@@juliusevans6729 Oh yeah that definitely makes front page news. I actually just play in my bedroom LOL. Just for fun 😉
Why I love Jacksonville, what an amazing town - not Miami’s entertainment but affordable with great jobs, and everything you need including beaches
Soooo helpful!!
I also think that Sarasota has a cosmopolitan vibe and is worth mentioning when talking about exceptions to the sleepier feel of the west coast
Very true
Love the accuracy of this video. When I was younger I always wanted to live on the east coast because it seemed more thrilling, now that I'm 30 I love how calm and chill the west coast is. Idk if I could deal with the east coast and big city traffic. Even tho in the last couple of years more people have been moving here to the west coast and traffic is getting heavier.
Thanks! I worry that the west coast will probably end up like the east coast the way things are going. A lot places here on the east coast are at maximum capacity so they'll start looking elsewhere and where its more affordable
Spring break in the emerald coast is annoying. One highway + sprinf breakers= west coast traffic
Great video Michael. I will only add , Boston was called city of champions , and now Tampa took over the title !
Thanks Roman, right on!✌️

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I did all that you recommended all around Florida not to forget Carpaccio restaurant in Bal harbor 😊👄👧🏼
You're welcome! That's awesome to hear that!
I've lived on both sides: Tampa & Miami the east gets my vote.
Ive been watching the condo and apartment rentals and Ive noticed what you could get near the beach at say Clearwater is now about 300 to 500 dollars up and MORE since I started looking prior to covid. I was told that it is likely due to people working at home and wanting to be in a nicer climate and near the beaches.
Its probably combo of everything. Covid, working from home, the regular winter snowbird demand, people moving to FL in general, it all adds up to extra demand and higher prices
West coast...heaven’s waiting room. Jax....Miami is world class but untouchable. Jax is great!
I have preferred the west coast because I'm not into crowds. But from watching your video the east coast has a lot going for it.
I hear you on the crowds, I don't really like that either, but I am pretty lucky that I live in a small section of north beach where we hardly get crowds
Dude, another fine video. It is my understanding that if I take a moment or two to type some smack, that it helps your algorithms. That was some good subject matter to cover. Having lived in Florida for 30+ years, I would like to add one thing. A big part of the reason for the development of South East Florida, as opposed to South West Florida has to do with the water depths. They just can't take in the bigger vessels on the west side, and this factor is huge.
Thank you James, I always appreciate when people write comments👌 I did not know that about the water depths situation, but makes since now that you mention. Learn something new every day
You are most certainly welcome. Keep up the fine work.
Great comparison video! East coast is a great option for me.
Thanks Ralphie, its set then!
@@MichaelBordenaro Yes it is!

Fantastic video, Michael! For me, even though I LOVE Miami, I would want to live on the west coast around Sarasota or Naples. (Well, probs lay anywhere from the Tampa area on down to Cape Coral.). We have a neighbor here in San Diego who is in the process of buying a house in St. Pete, but still keeping their house here, so they can come back during the hotter months in Florida. Anyway, I was surprised to see that a two bedroom, one bathroom house with a pool snd on a canal, was $525,000.00! I was shocked that it was that high, even though the yard was large, had a pool snd was on a canal. The fact that a two bedroom, one bathroom was going for that much in St. Pete was surprising to me. However, you did say that prices are going up all over Florida. Also...my sister snd her husband had a house on a canal down on the Forgotten Coast of Florida, which is between the panhandle snd Tampa. It was at a place called Shell Beach. Talk about quiet nature! Very peaceful. If you have a stressful job snd want to escape, that’s the place! Too isolated for me. They eventually sold it after a few years of ownership.
Thank you very much! That is a surprising price for such a small house. The area must be pretty great. Of course on the water is always going to cost a premium. Your sisters old place sounds really peaceful! I want to explore and check out places like that here just to enjoy them😊
There is ton of beaches or furthe north you go up you get the natural springs which in my opinion is more beautiful then the springs
Nice work bro🤙 That’s why I live on both coasts 😎🤙

Tampa area here, LOVE it!! Not a big fan of the east coast myself.
Everyone has their preference!
This is a great video. In my opinion, the east coast of FL appears to be more lush with deeper green vegitation than the west coast of Florida. This would make sense as the east coast tends to get a bit more rain than the west coast. As noted in the video, the waves are greater on the east coast, which lends to the east coast may seem to be more windy. Evidentually, I will need to rent on both coasts until I get it figured out.
Thank you! Yes that is a great idea spend some time on both coasts to see which one you like the most
The West coast actually has more of a tropical feel than the East coast.
@@kimoman7439 I would agree with that

@@Liefvikerson Rude east Florida. Who wants to be around that?
What about the people on the east coast verses the west coast? The west coast Suncoast area is full of very friendly people. I’ve heard from many people that the east of of Florida has a lot of very rude and unfriendly people, mainly caused by the large number of people coming to the east coast of Florida from New York and New Jersey.
I did mention in the video that people from the East tend to go to the East Coast and midwesterners tend to move to the West Coast. Everyone's experience with those people though will be different
Ouch. I live in Palm Bay, East Coast. I am very nice
@@kathryncrowleybryan5844 That’s good tat you are very nice. But I keep hearing over and over from many people who lived in the Miami Dade area that people are rude and very unfriendly there compared to the Tampa to Punta Gorda area, where people are very friendly and not rude. I assume that it is true because I keep hearing that over and over.
Since you live closer to the area, you should be able to have formed an opinion, by observing people around you, not yourself, if people are unfriendly and rude. Maybe you need to visit the west coast of Florida to compare the differences. I’ve only visited the Miami Dade several times and couldn’t confirm that about the people. However, the drivers in the Miami Dade area are absolutely rude and drive faster and much more reckless than the west coast of Florida. By fast, I mean it is common to see people driving 85 to 90 on the freeways there.where on the west coast of Florida, it is common to see people driving 75 to 80 on the freeways.
I’ll be in Miami this weekend i love hanging out in Florida
Nice, enjoy John!!
I know of a lot of folks from the Northeast heading to Tampa I am one of them! This was more of a con for the west coast and pro for the east coast of FLA video lol
The West Coast does have a lot to like about it too. It might've come off that way mostly because I prefer the East Coast but I think the West Coast is also beautiful and perfect for a lot of people
As you said, except for Tamps the West Coast is very serene. A great place to retire with great weather. The East Coast is very vibrant especially the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area! Right now, we much prefer the East Coast. Maybe in 10+ years after we are fully retired, we might consider the West Coast.
Yes absolutely. That sounds like a good idea, take full advantage of the east coast hustle and bustle for a while until you're ready to slow down and then move west
Wow I didn’t even recognize you with your hair down like that. Always see you with your hair back, walking around with tank top and short. I like this look 👍🏼. Thanks for the information. I plan to move to Tampa but not sure exactly where I want to live. This helps a lot. TY!

I am shocked yet again how affordable Miami compare to London and how much more value for money you can actually get in Florida.
The only thing that I would say considerably more expensive in Miami compared to London is the food shopping. Yet again - I am sold.😀☀️
Thanks a lot Lior! Yes london is quite a bit more expensive. Hopefully the prices here won't get too out of whack with how the real estate market is going. time will tell
The midwest to west coast thing.........I violated that rule. Coming from Iowa I moved to the Space Coast :D
I violated it too coming from Illinois 👌
I was born and raised in Miami. I lived there for 35 years. Relocated to the Atlanta area, but would love to retire to the Venice Beach area if I don’t get priced out of my home state!
Venice is nice, I have a video coming up there! Great choice to retire 👌
I've lived in Florida for almost 50 years and a small part of that time I lived in Clearwater. Michael was spot on regarding the migration pattern of those coming to Florida and living here. What I didn't like about living on the west coast was that I found mid westerners to be very clannish people. If you were not from the mid west then you're "out." Mid westerners stick together and, I'm sorry to offend, but they were a bit unfriendly.
Thank you Cak for backing up my video. I can see some people from the midwest being like that. Its even like that when you live up there!

Hey man love your vids moving to Port St. Lucie in June-July what do you think of that area. I like how the weather is not as hot as Miami but not as cold as Jacksonville. Moving from Atlanta
Thanks Juan! I like the area it's still up and coming so it's not a big city yet. But it's a very affordable area and it's nice that it's pretty much in the middle of the state so you can get to the north or the south within just a few hours
Thank you. You’re doing a good jobs with the vids keep it up
@@juan9082 I really appreciate that, much more to come!
West coast seems nice but that red tide is scary
Hi Michael, i have to admit that you have an excellent online presence and i think you will do very well with your youtube channel. You just come across as a very sincere and honest individual. As such, i want to give you some ideas on how you might be able to improve your channel. I may be wrong on my suggestions but at least i wanted to try to assist in any way. I recently decided i want to retire in Florida in 4 years. I am now 53 but only been to Florida about 5 times in my life. I have been doing lots of research trying to find videos describing all of the different beach side communities to target based on my own criteria. However, its not been easy to find many good ones. You have done great reviews on some of the beaches near Miami and i think if you extended such videos to the many many other beachside communities across the state you might be able to increase your subscribers and views. For example, between Miami and Jacksonville there are dozens of beachside communities that you could review. So e could be marketed to someone like myself who wants to find a beachside community where i can walk to nice cafes and just has a overall nice downtown area whereas others may want more seclusion. Of course, this would take lots of effort but i for one would watch most of them to get an idea as to which community i could focus on when making my first research trips to Florida. This alone could give you hundreds of videos that i think many people thinking about moving to Florida would find valuable. But like i said its a lot of work as you would need to drive to these areas to film and discuss all of such communities. Anyway, i wish you the best and i will continue to go through the remainder of your videos. Bests. Oh - i also love the feeling of buying gold and silver and understand your rationale for buying it. I also got my real estate license while back in college but never really did much with it. Instead, spending my career in finance working and teaching finance/investments as a adjunkie. Now just looking to chill in Florida soon.
Hi David thank you very much that's very nice of you to say that! Your suggestion about reviewing the towns and beaches was actually my initial idea and then… Covid hit. So that whole thing has been put on hold. But I do plan to get around more areas of Florida this year and make some videos about different areas 👌
calm is great
Love your videos, entertaining and informative. 60+ here, and done with NE winters but will miss boating on Narragansett Bay. Very familiar with both coasts. Wanting the quieter lifestyle, so traveling to TPA & down to Ft. Myers to look at neighborhoods, or, in FL-speak, "gated communities". Still will have to work before getting the pitiful retirement bucks, so thinking Bradenton / Sarasota & commute to TPA. Keeping/renting RI home to snowbird after retirement. Thinking about renting "apartment" for a year to feel the whole thing out before laying down housing root$, your thoughts?
Thank you George! That sounds like a pretty good plan and if you want to stay in FL when you are retired, you can already get a feel of what it's like being here full time before retirement. Definitely rent the first year, to make sure you have enough time to explore and find a good property to purchase. You can also get out of your lease if you find a the perfect property to buy✌️
Wish I could afford to move to South Florida. I think i would love it there
Maybe one day you can
West Coast has a ton of Art, Museums, Cruises, Sporting Events, higher paying Jobs and such without the traffic. I'm in technology and Tampa is growing far faster for tech than anywhere in Florida.
Just some corrections to your video.
And our sunsets!!! Gorgeous!
I love Fort Lauderdale. However, it is too busy and feels so much like Vegas on the beach.
Sarasota and Tampa are younger these days. The migratory paths to the West Coast are bringing more families also.
Come to the West Coast and chill out.
Key West Express from Fort Myers to Key West is way better than the drive from Miami. So fun!
Not saying those things don't exist on the west coast, only that the east coast has more of it. I like both for different reasons
@@MichaelBordenaro for sure. Both differently awesome.
@@runawaytechgal1467 Absolutely!!
Great Info, we have family on both coasts and trying to decide what coast to go to , leaning towards west coast but am afraid of the heat. Do you get better breezes off the Atlantic?
That is a tough call with family in both places. We do get breezes regularly off the coast here, but if you are going to be in the southern half of FL, both sides will still be pretty hot
NY and NJ are on the east Chicago and Midwest on the west.
I just got back from Florida. It was beautiful however, I am not yet sure if it is for me ... Miami was a bit too crazy for me, and smaller towns between Miami and Palm Beach a little boring. I loved the beaches though. Way more beautiful than in LA (where I live). Warm, crystal clear water - loved it! I noticed that except for housing, gas and taxes (which is a lot better in FL), everything else (grocery, shopping, dining, entertainment) is as expensive as in California. Nice condos and houses in nice areas are not as cheap to rent/buy as many people here in Cali think. So far I can say that I definitely loved it for vacation, but not sure if it is for me live. I probably would miss the variety of food and entertainment that we have here in LA (when it was "normal" lol) Will come back in the summer to check again. Your videos are great, Michael!
I hear you, and know exactly what you mean. I love the amount of things to do in LA and even though its also crazy, but in a different way. Nothing wrong with staying in LA and visiting FL when you feel like it. Thanks so much for watching 😀
@@MichaelBordenaro I agree, LA also has its crazy 😆
Both places are special in their own way. I loved seeing gators and other animals in Evarglades😀 The nature is beautiful in FL.
@@Lil-Be Yep, that is a beautiful thing about our country. So much to see, do and appreciate all right here just in the U.S.
@@Lil-Be I'm not so sure LA will ever be back to normal. I was there not long ago and it was completely dead and lots of businesses have closed up for good. I know a guy in Hollywood and he said half his apartment building is empty. Strange times we're in for sure.
@@networth00 I know.. it has changed a lot. They just opened restaurants and other places. Will take time for sure.
I’ve lived in Panama City beach for 2 years but been all around Florida and other us beaches and I gotta say, the emerald coast in north west Florida are definitely the most beautiful beaches in Florida, and definitely high up there with the nicest in the world. The sand is just so soft and white that it looks like snow and the water is so warm and clear/emerald and so clean. Also the sunsets every day are epic. And this is one of the only places in the world with coastal dune lakes, and we have some of the biggest ones. Only cons are that it gets pretty cold here. I know I’ll end up moving to south Florida just for the warmer weather but these beaches are the only thing keeping me here.
Luckily it won't be too much of a compromise our beaches down here are pretty nice too👌
Just curious to hear how cold it gets in Northwest Florida or around where you live in the winters? I ignorantly assumed that all of Florida would have mild winters 😬
@@654Tennis coldest is 40s, maybe 30s at night. There’s about a month or a month and a half where it’s in the 50s every day. It’s usually in the 70s until December then back into the 70s around March
@@jacobwallace818 Thanks for your perspective! That's colder than I thought but at least it's for just a very short window of time. Are there any cities/towns on Florida's panhandle or on Florida's west coast that you recommend I check out? I'm really hoping to move out there in the next year or two and am trying to narrow down my list as there seems to be a lot of great options. I'm a teacher so I'm flexible with where I live and am open to anywhere. I intend on visiting this summer to get a better feel for things but appreciate any advice you have since you live out there and seem to know the area well!
@@654Tennis Pensacola is nice but has some very ghetto areas. It’s more country vibe too. Destin is between Pensacola and Panama City beach and it’s kinda like the higher end version of Panama City beach. Apalachacola is nice but kinda smaller town. Lots of nice areas between Clearwater and fort myers but the beaches aren’t as nice as the emerald coast (between pcb and Pensacola) also the west coast is ridiculously expensive right now. I live across the street from the beach in pcb and I can find places for rent for the same price and same distance from the beach in south beach. I’m planning on moving to fort myers soon even though the beaches aren’t as nice, I just don’t like how cold it gets here even though it’s only a couple months. Obviously “the further south you go in Florida the further north you get” so the culture will be much different depending where you go. In pcb it’s kinda country vibe. Also between pcb and destin is the 30A area which is incredibly nice. Mostly residential so not much tourism and mostly families. Very nice area.
Michael, where on the east coast (maybe Palm Beach county) is a good place for a golf fitness professional?
Well I don’t know much about golf but I know in West Palm Beach they have the big PGA course up there so I imagine there’s probably a good opportunity there for you
Grew up in California and have been visiting Florida since the 1980's
I love Florida, but surfing on the East coast of is nothing like California!
I have noticed that in the past couple of years that Tampa and Clearwater has surged ahead and surpassed Miami in terms of Sports and being a Hip area of Florida.
Totally true, but at least people can surf on the east coast here, which they really cant on the west coast. Tampa and clearwater have been growing faster due to it being more affordable, which I see changing very soon because now those areas are getting to be almost as expensive as miami
The east coast the water is more pure because of the tide of the Atlantic
Totally the current is constantly moving the water whereas on the gulf side it doesn't move quite as much
I dont know about that.
Michael, I really want to know why they don't have fences in FL, all backyards are wide open, no privacy.
That's not really true, there are plenty of homes with fences, maybe you just didnt see any
