Y'know the first time I saw these idiots preform live I suddenly realised Jon is the lawful good one whilst spine is chaotic neutral and rabbit is absolutely chaotic evil And none of them, despite being tall arse robots, have nothing but childish thoughts and cannot, for some unknown reason, be serious. Which, of course, is absolutely hilarious and is in fact why they're the best.
Jon is such a fucking dork, look at his hair. He's like "yes, my hair is long enough for this." I absolutely love his tiny floof of har held back. So goddamed adorable.
I believe the greatest benefit here is that they do not sound like disco so much as, well, their usual style. If you enjoy it, then their cover absolutely did what it was meant to do: entertain! It was great wasn't it?
Well this pretty much the last song I ever expected to hear from these guys. Between this and "Talk to the Animals" I kinda makes me wish they still did covers.
Rokkiteer if you head on over to their website, you can purchase a digital ticket for their 10 year anniversary concert where all members were present and accounted for.
My son got me hooked -- Love this cover as the Bee Gees have been my favorites since the late 1960's. Couldn't ask for a better band to cover them. Would love to see more!
@@sumdumguy2648 It's probably because her costume includes a corset now, which plays into the steampunk fashion she's always been based on. Those aren't the easiest things to move around in.
I think Rabbit gets possessed with Elvis' ghost and can't keep his hips still, ROFLMAO...oooppps... reattaches A... it would be less fun without that, I admit!
the performance is really cute but like... im disappointed that jon wasnt really shown for the most part of the video, even though he was the one singing.
Something was off about Jon in this video. He was way more low-energy than usual. It makes sense if you think about the turmoil he was dealing with in conjunction with the band at around this time. I feel like you can see it starting to affect him.
@@tomstone3973 Jon left the band because of schedule issues and he just lost passion for it and thought it was better for him to leave the band than look miserable on stage every time
Am i the only one seeing a waving sunflowerish thing here? its located somewhere beyond/ above the keyboard and it demanded my focus more than rabbit could I mm sorry im 2 years late just checked comments
Tbh, I miss Jon the most. I loved his voice and I feel SPG's harmonies were superb with the trio alone, Micheal Reed made everything 100x's better with them but that's another topic. Plus, Jon wrote almost all of my favorite songs like JuJu Magic and Out in the Rain. Finally, I loved his stage presence, especially with Rabbit. He had the best comedic timing and he never failed to make me chuckle with his pure randomness. Unlike Rabbit, Jon tried to keep his cool most of the time on stage, which is why I prefer him over Rabbit and his replacement Hatchy. I liked Hatchworth, mostly for his songs because they're some of my favs too, but I felt he tried too hard to be wacky. It seemed to me that Sam was trying to actually be Jon 2.0 instead of a new character. Now with Sam's departure, I can only hope that Zero will bring something new to the table and maybe fill the Jon shaped hole in my heart a little better than Hatchy boy. I also hope that one day Spg will have a reunion tour with all the robots and humans that they've worked with, with Sam being Hatchworth and Matt on drums.
I feel like you do, pretty much. Zero lacks everything Jon brought to the table: comedic timing, excellent mime skills that make him a convincing robot, charm, musical versatility...and he was just so dang likeable. Hatch wasn't a perfect substitute for those of us that missed Jon, but as a longtime SPG member he knew how to move and could also play multiple instruments, harmonize very well, and be likeable and fun to watch in his own way. I'm sure the guy playing Zero has talent but he's just not quite right for this band. That's just my opinion, of course.
This is obviously beautiful but what is bunny wearing? Is that a pair of overalls, is it a weird pair of suspenders with high waisted trousers??? Is it a romper???
Silly Hatchworth, pretending he's human.

*Hair
I just realized that rabbit is wearing 3 belts
And she's wearing overalls.
+Turtle Lord I seriously want them!!!!
I think she said that they were so tight that it impacted her breathing
Honestly I love the belt style she has its so cool and steampunk😎
@@sharonoddlyenough yeah i think yhe same went for spines vest
Ah, the early days. THOSE were the golden days of SPG.
100% agree buddy. This is the best they were.
When rabbit went on stage going "ne ne nep nep nep ne" I fucking lost it
Bunny is just impossibly amazing.
I believe the greatest benefit here is that they do not sound like disco so much as, well, their usual style. If you enjoy it, then their cover absolutely did what it was meant to do: entertain! It was great wasn't it?
i love bunny just dancing random moves its cute
+Mizz Hyde yeah it is (blushes)
awesome ? :)
I know, her dancing is life
It makes me wonder if she’s at all double jointed because she genuinely looks boneless at some points
This is what’s great about UA-cam ! I search Tragedy and get this gem!
Well this pretty much the last song I ever expected to hear from these guys. Between this and "Talk to the Animals" I kinda makes me wish they still did covers.
As a lover of the original this is terrific
Would love to see them do a special performance with all the current and past members.

Great cover - this amazing band have got me through some really hard times and always make me smile,
I second the motion for a tim burton film of these guys, i can picture them perfectly in the style of The Nightmare Before Christmas
bunny's artstyle in the comic is honestly pretty close to the tim burton kinda style (ik im 10 years late shhh)
Dam it. Rabbit has snake hips. The spine has a cracking pair of legs but not a patch on rabbit I love the old rabbit. So darn cute ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i like the the beginning where they r like quacking r something lol XD
Brilliant !
Awesome costumes.
Must be exhausting.
Las Vegas bound if not already.
I was kinda expecting Spine to pull a Barry Gibb falsetto, if I'm honest...
I expected him to pull the epic falsetto aswell 8(
That's what Mike was kinda doing though if you listen closely to his harmonies!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
I love the BeeGees. I love Steam Powered Giraffe.
This was absolute perfection.
we want to see steam powered giraffe show at ROCK RIO BRAZIL
Rabbit totally stole the show during this performance.
Lol Michael has one of those dancing flower things
Every time Michael counts off, it gives me good chills.
Dammmmn Rabbit! Dem hips!
I mean I usually have a thing for The Spine, but this time Rabbit is certainly stealing the spotlight... :3
The quality of this video is just HOT DAMN! :D
BlinkinFirefly its not 60 fps
oh my god i cant handle how adorable this video is
I wish the current rabbit would do crazy moves like that.
Gamer GC yeah shes kinda locked locked
She seems to play more instruments now.
I know it seems like like two totally different people. Shame
@@sumdumguy2648 It's probably because her costume includes a corset now, which plays into the steampunk fashion she's always been based on. Those aren't the easiest things to move around in.
I really wish rabbit had done the moon walk with that costume, would have been so fitting.
I think Rabbit gets possessed with Elvis' ghost and can't keep his hips still, ROFLMAO...oooppps... reattaches A... it would be less fun without that, I admit!
I wish that they had covered more Beegees songs. The Spine's voice is perfect for retaining the falsetto like the Beegees do in some of their songs
This is the most that I've seen The Jon sing!
Watch Juju Magic or The Sound of Tomorrow.
the performance is really cute but like... im disappointed that jon wasnt really shown for the most part of the video, even though he was the one singing.
1) AWESOME!
2) the dancing flower is also awesome!
Awesome capture of an awesomely done cover. 💜🎶
i miss this version of SPG tbh *-*
Same. Rabbit's new makeup is nice. but I miss the silly moves.
+Gamer GC im the same way... Rabbit is perfect as she is but the dancing and hand movement's is what i miss
This will always be my favorite line up - as much as I love Hatch.
Alas, things change. Such is life. We always have the good times though.
That was one of the most amazing entrances I've ever seen or herd....
i luv how in every video rabbit dosnt play an instrument he is just like, ya im not playing anything right now so Im just gonna do a little dance!
Yep! Thats Rabbit for ya!
She!!
Good job!! 👏🎶🎶🎶
I wish I could know what kind of shirt Jon wears. I haven't been able to find the design.
Or Rabbit's pants...
Yeah gonna need to know that too,
Gamer GC X3 And Spine's fedora... And Mike's goggles. And Steve's bandanna. And Sam's drumsticks, so I can beat Becile black and blue! X3
The American UA-camr I really just need Rabbit's pants... xD maybe his old hat.
Gamer GC X3 Then, I'll take the rest!
3:23 Rabbit's scream! XD
I love this cover!!

Believe it or not AC, i just discover them.. What happened to Jon?
@@tomstone3973 Jon left the band because of schedule issues and he just lost passion for it and thought it was better for him to leave the band than look miserable on stage every time
That was really good 😊💜
A discoing robot..too awesome, love Rabbit!
I absolutely adore Rabbit!
These dudes are amazing 😮
Damn rabbit with dem shoulders
no wonder rabbit likes disco, he must have master the dancing floor with "the robot" dance.
Michael Reed, please stop being so awesome. I can't handle it.
it was a tragedy i wasnt able to see this live
Am i the only one seeing a waving sunflowerish thing here? its located somewhere beyond/ above the keyboard and it demanded my focus more than rabbit could
I mm sorry im 2 years late just checked comments
Yup!
It's a solar powered sunflower. Check DollarTree in the spring. They have several different kinds.
Im sorry im 2 yeears late just checking comments
That is friggin' awesome!
Everywhere I go concerning SPG, I see you.
I love it! That's dedication! :)
Man, I kinda really miss The Jon
hehsjdh i love rabbits dancing so much
Let's see...
Disco: Check.
Robots: Check.
Steam-Powered ones?: Check.
Michael Reed: Check.
Your argument is invalid.
I have to remind myself that they are real
Jon's Ponytail :')
Rabbit is 50000% percent sexier than normal in this vid. Just saying.
Not particularly fond of this song but the performance is top-notch. So much sexy mechanoid!
Tim Burton needs to make a movie of you guys. I think he would be a good choice to direct and capture you guys true essence.
Especially considering their backgroubd story lol
A bunny has just got to dacne...

You have a lot of opinions
Ward McCreery Yeah, I guess I do.
Actually, they do a reunion for their 10 years anniversary :D

Fantastic video!
these guys are mind blowing ^///^
His Heart just wasn't in it anymore, so he and the Band Parted way amiciably. Or so I have gathered
Just love how bunny always gotta dance XD
I like their arrangement of this song.
the intro of the song is 99% Rabbit doing finger guns
man this is a great cover
Guys do you have a new fan from brazil!!
wish they would come to iowa
SAME!!!!
oh gosh.....this is really TRAGEDY.....they will never make it
That's exactly what I've been saying on all their vids! I can just see stop motion SPG :D
You guys are fascinating
wooooho! FUN!
Disco bots? MY HEART!!!
This is obviously beautiful but what is bunny wearing? Is that a pair of overalls, is it a weird pair of suspenders with high waisted trousers??? Is it a romper???
I'd love to see a version of this with Zero
I hate disco. This is surprisingly good. Only SPG can make disco good...
I missed their old style
What's the name of this song I love it
Tragedy by the Bee Gees
Lovely! & Michael Reed's playing is just amazing!
Dancing less like a robot and more like SIM. lol
I second this motion
"Olay!"
aww cute😍
3:22 *SCREAM*
Sadly the only thing we'll get is a saturday morning cartoon show... Wait.. Thinking about this.. It has potential..
I don't seem to be able to escape your comments o.o
I think they should team up with That 1 Guy if they do so.
In fact, I think they should do that anyway, but I'm weird.
I am happy for Christopher to change his life. We just wish for our original Rabbit. Such an awesome character
Is it gay if I say "I love you"?
Yes, and there's nothing wrong with that
I think it's funny :D
Boogie Bunny!
Celldweller- Tragedy
Celldweller is my favorite artist!
TheDeathmetal4life As it should be! ^_^
Try the Beegees. They did the original. The more you know.
StrayPup I already knew that but i don't like the original, it's too slow. Celldwellers has a faster beat and the guitar is heavier.
GONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funky!
