Always enjoy Teja's playing and demos. I was fortunate to find the torrefied top version of the AEG-1 from a small independent shop when they were still on backorder from most dealers. I've had it for a month and I grow to like it more every time I pick it up. It won't replace my D-55 or vintage J45, but it's the perfect solution for on stage acoustic amplification. The build quality and attention to detail is first rate. Near zero fatigue, even after playing long sets.
You should check out the other videos out there for the AEG-1, as this particular video has the worst sound out of all of them and does a disservice to the guitar.
@@jackbandel I don't know which videos you watched, but the ones I've seen all sounded excellent. For example. Gary Roberts has videos comparing it to acoustic guitars from Collings, Emerald, Gibson, Martin, etc., and it compared very favorably: www.youtube.com/@gair1944/videos Premiere Guitar did a video that sounded excellent: ua-cam.com/video/Kmsy62aUIE0/v-deo.htmlsi=iaPmDypw-J6xdM2B L.R. Baggs' own channel has some nice videos too that sounded great: ua-cam.com/video/Kmsy62aUIE0/v-deo.htmlsi=iaPmDypw-J6xdM2B ua-cam.com/video/nNnLpoLj8Ac/v-deo.htmlsi=-UAh37KlDbs-Zba_&t=179
I have since bought the AEG-1 and returned it. The plugged in sound of mine did not sound like the recordings I heard in those examples I posted. The mids were too scooped and the overall sound was washy treble and indistinct, without body to the notes or clarity in note/string separation in either fingerpicking or strumming. I contact LR Baggs and they said the the audio clips I sent them sounds like how the guitar should, but to my ears they did not sound like the examples I heard in those UA-cam videos. Too bad because it was extremely comfortable to play and the acoustic sound without plugging in was nice and loud--basically like a normal acoustic guitar but with less bass because of the shallow body.
@@LunatiqueRobthat’s exactly what I heard… no note separation or depth or fullness to the sound. Well at least you gave it a shot. For a great comfortable stage guitar, get a Martin SC model and put an Anthem SL in it. Done.
Very poor sounding acoustic guitar. Not comparable with the real acoustic guitar like Martin, Taylor, Lakewood, Maton, Collings, Gibson and Yamaha. Very poor. Don’t misguide the acoustic lovers.
It's a stage guitars, not a couch guitar... nobody mislead anybody. My RainSong Jumbo aren't the best couch guitars, but they are the best stage guitars I have ever heard,(LR BAGGS Stagepro Anthems). Do you play on stage?
But can you drop a pick in it?
I love his demos. I just wish he and EVERYONE else that demos a product like this would demo TOTALLY unplugged as a reference.
Respectfully though, this particular guitar isn't made to be played unplugged.

Great demo! Thanks!
doesn’t sound appealing to me. Sounds like there’s a blanket over the speaker.
