I totally agree. There is virtually none. Thats what drove me to doing it. But you can find a lot of opinions on them.. This video is first hand facts. Ps. I still have the saddle to this day.

Wow, thank you for your response. I’m glad you liked the video. I made it specifically for people like you and me. No lies, no non sense, and I wasn’t paid. Just a flat out honest review. I can tell you bro, the saddle is great. I’m above and beyond pleased with it. Of course a $3,000 Billy cook would be nice to have, but if you’re looking for a good nice saddle on a budget, I 100 percent recommend this. E yo edes cubano amigo jaja. No puetho escribe en spaniel, pedo me puetho ablra pokito. Mi abuelita se ensenia mi quando yo edes chikito 🙂
@@TheFreelanceCowboy 🙂Hahahaha, no I am a mexicano %100, I know your language, but I rarely práctice it,... I am a tamer, trainer and monger on horses. I am very accostume to my mexicano charro saddles, and it is OK, but, I am more a cowboy ( used to work with cattle on horseback), and Rodeo is becoming very popular around here, so.... I will need a roping western saddle for sure, and this one in particular looks great to me, the look, the price, everything, I am glad I found your video, greetings!!!
I understand. But I can tell you first hand as the unbiased owner and rider of this saddle, it’s good. No issues, and horse is doing great with it. I recommend it to anyone on a tight budget.
How’s it going mam. The saddle is doing just fine. My dad is currently using it for his older quarter horse. After a year of use, I can tell you mam it is a good saddle. If you’re wanting to get a good budget saddle, I recommend this saddle 100 percent. It’s put together well, and has held up. This video is straight up, straight out the box, facts. God bless you
Lift up the seat jockey and look where the stirrup leathers go. Its probably a fiberglass wrapped tree. Also look into getting some skidmores condition and itll help after oilling it. Also fyi hilason has a store in houston 👍🏻
Yes I’ve heard they have a store in Huston. I was told it is massive too, like a museum. The stirrups actually go through the leather, and are connected to the tree itself. It is fiberglass as you said.
Yes, I absolutely recommend this saddle. It has held up just fine, and my dad is currently using the saddle for his older quarter horse. This is a year later, and I still have nothing but good things to say.. If you’re looking for a good budget saddle and want new, I recommend this brand 100 percent. Everyone has an opinion just like me, but this video is facts. It’s a straight up, straight out the box, saddle from Hilason. The saddle is proven and good. May God bless you.
Good saddles ain’t cheap and cheap saddles ain’t good meaning durability, if you ain’t gonna ride it often it may hold up but if you’re putting some in quite often you want something that’s gonna last and hold up and won’t break while you’re on the back of a horse.
Meaning no disrespect to the video maker, this is virtually useless in showing any beneficial details about this saddle. Fact is, NO actual details are properly shown, or even well described, so no judgement of saddle's value, build or component quality, or even future usefulness can be based on the 15 mins wasted here.
My partnership ended up not working out, so I had an early exit this go around. But I did learn a lot. As far as the meat business goes, I can break it down like this. It is virtually impossible to beat out super store prices. you literally can not do it. because those ranchers have so much cattle, they can afford to spend money, shipping off their cattle anywhere in the country, wherever the cheapest grain is, and raise their beef at feedlots, get them fat for cheap, and then ship them back home or to a packer.. So you can rule that out, 100 percent. That leaves individually retail. Which means if you’re trying to make a profit, you will have to sell you meat marginally above the prices of Walmart, Rouses, sams, etc. Which is what people do, but you have to build your business, and get that kind of clientel. Have a good website, good marketing and branding, you MUST have a superior tasting product than the super stores to justify the extra money, and you must have the hand of the good Lord Jesus Christ on your side. That’s what it will take to have a good, enjoyable and profitable small time cattle business. Make sure you have a passion for cowboying, and the cattle busiess if you’re going to do it. If it’s just strickly for money, I’d advise you to take another route. 🙂
Thank you sir for reviewing this saddle. You are right. There are hardly any reviews on Hilason saddles.
