I just did all four doors and thank you for taking the time to make an installation guide. The most critical step was removing the seal just like you said. If you guys love your car do not skip it, don’t even try without it off.

I’m curious how it acts when someone slams it shut. Does it bring it to a stop and then shuts on its own?
When I drop my son off at school the teachers always slam my door.

      Thanks Malcolm!
It takes about 45 mins for each of the front door, and about 30 mins for each of the rear door. You can do 1 door at a time so you don't have to spend 2.5 hours all at once

Is there a delay to open the door when you open the door with the door handle or the unlock button from the inside?

  • @koma-k

Nice and clear description; my only gripe is the white-on-white text which in some cases is unreadable. The whole process seemed simpler than I would have hoped (I've replaced the cinching motor on my MS rear hatch, and while not complex that was a pain to do singlehandedly).
My neighbour is planning on installing soft close on his Y - if it turns out good I might consider it for ours too.

Thanks buddy, it was actually not too bad, follow each steps and its pretty straight forward, about 45 mins each for the front (each) and 30 mins for the rear (each). Also you can spread it out and do 1 door a day if you want.

That's a cool product. Question though why would you slam a Tesla to the ground? If you hit something in the road hard enough and puncture the battery pack you are going to brick your car. Tesla will void your warranty for that mod to your car and it will cost you 15k to replace the pack.

@@cyprianskiba8768 I dont know if you notice on the Model 3, I have a 3P and Ive used stock 20" with ps4s, then I used forged 19" at 9kg per rim, I measured acceleration improvement and most likely I guess range improved. But now I am running zero.g 20", because it looks better. Don't really notice difference as you have so good range initially. There's more difference with wet road, wind, snow etc.
