Well to locals Hawker Chan is a little overrated, if you really want quality/authentic local food, you need to go off the beaten track, less touristy areas. And the "sesame seeds balls" are called tang yuan or ah balling, a local dessert. They have peanut fillings too, but nowadays there are more flavours like matcha green tea and red bean
what good local/off the beaten track hawker food would you recomend? And we love matcha so definatley need to try it! Thank you for watching our video ❤
@@DreamTeamTravels there are many off the beaten track dishes - popiah/spring rolls - Singapore's answer to the burrito, lor mee (noodles with a thick starchy gravy with egg, fried fish, beansprouts), roti prata (a cross between a pancake and a croissant of Indian origin). There are plenty of dishes that I can divulge here but I don't really have the time to write, it's up to you to discover it for yourself. There are still relatively great hawker centre in town, Maxwell and Albert Food Centre are good examples
Singapura means lion city in Malay, not Malaysian. Malay is an ethnicity, Malaysia is a country and Malaysian is people from Malaysia. Please don't mix them up.
WOW ❤️and ❤️WOW ❤️ I am sooooooo jealous ❤️🤗😘❤️! You guys are incredible lucky to be able to visit Singapore 🇸🇬 and like you said- it’s very special place because you met there! ❤️❤️ and you fulfilling your dreams- traveling together! I can’t choose my favourite spot- love the music 🎼 fountains, the atmosphere in the city at night, the magical museum displays like in the fairy tales … LOVED EVERYTHING… ( not sure about $2 dollars food … but I would be like Ernestas - since I paid, I would eat 😜)
Welcome to Sg. Glad to see u visited The Pinnacles sky garden. For your information, it’s our best subsidized public housing by our Housing & Development Board (HDB). 80% of Singaporeans lived in HDB public housing flats. It’s world class and well maintained by the government / town councils.
WOW! Fantastic video of a fantastic city. A dream destination. all that food looked very strange, we don't eat stuff like this in America, but Would be willing to try it! Okay maybe not the Beans and Durian Ice-cream 😅😅
The hawker stall received a Michelin star, not the restaurant. Stars don't transfer between branches and the actual restaurants have always been sub-par compared to their original location.
Singapore looks very futuristic. Curious if one can survive 48 hours on $100? are there cheap hosels? can you really spend all night at the parks or in the garden? I gues its not cold right so should be fine?
$100 is a little low for 2 nights if you want to rent a hotel. If you book ahead a hostel should be okay maybe $30 per night, and then you should have enough for busses, food, and a few other things. The garden said to close at 2am and reopen at 4am, so from 2-4am you are not really supposed to be in the park, you could just go get food during those hours. But when we were here a few years ago we didn't know this and no one told us to leave so maybe they don't check.
I know that those Avatar gardens are not a new attraction but it's still the most stunning place in Singapore for me. Something that I wish everyone to see at least once in their ❤❤ very beautiful video btw !
Do not try the Hawker Chan. It is not fantastic and they already lost the Michelin awards for 2 years. Some tourists have complained nothing fantastic about it.Instead go to Chew Kee Eating House for soya sauce chicken
@@everettym6878 I am not expert on vegetarian but I saw a video this lady recommended place at Fortune Centre at 190 Middle Road ua-cam.com/video/OFgul761DM8/v-deo.html.
Over hyped. Thats why lost the star. $2.00 of course you get a plate of noodles with some soy sauce and few pieces of vegetable. Suggest you go to any other hawker centres for much much better food with few dollars more. You should not have ordered durian flavour if you can't stand the smell. It's a love/hate fruit.

@@DreamTeamTravels That's why you don't know what you are missing. By the way there are much much better chicken noodles elsewhere at over 200 plus hawker centres all over the island.
There's no attractions in Singapore, small geographically well developed country with no sceneries. Nothing to explore naturally, You only need couple of hours to explore the whole country, Singapore. The only thing i love about Singapore is its very clean.
Yes Singapore is a small country, but its a beautiful city, very clean and has many attractions for free and also for those who can spend some money too. One can explore the entire country within a few days and its often know as a layover city.
Couple of hours to explore the whole country?? Gross exaggeration. lol Thats not enough time for a visit to the zoo, or time to trek through the Bt Timah Nature Reserve, or visit the nature park at the Botanical Gardens or Southern Ridges, or visit the to Sungei Buloh Wetlands etc
There are no attractions in Singapore you say. Yet over 18 million international visitors go the island city state yearly. Compared to say like only 8 million for a country like the Philippines with over 7 thousand islands and boundless nature Hahahaha Singapore is a highly urbanized country and the whole island is developed. Its attractions may be different from other countries.
Is this what they call traveling poor? Lol. Buy Noodles only then complain it sucks when they got the mich from their meat... Not to mention that isn't even the original stall.
@@christinalam2476 then it's even funnier? the sauce got lard. and we have good vegetarian food. but they chose to follow hype train instead of properly researching?
👋 we were told the noodles are cooked with some fish sauce but no lard or meat :) that is why we ordered just the noodles 🍜 but we tried many other local places too, just didn’t include them in the video to keep it shorter :)
Girl, I love your review of the Michelin Star restaurant. 😅😅 but seriously all the food you ate was was just $2? that is still crazy. I thought Singapore was ridiculously expensive!
Hawker centre food are about $4 to $5. Ridiculously expensive played by all the ridiculous social media . Singapore import goods at zero tariff and some tourists may not even be aware electronic stuff here are generally cheaper than say in Philippines
Let me say that the thing expensive for tourists is hotel accommodation. Train, taxi , hawker food , even most restaurant food, attractions you need to pay are generally reasonable and NOT ridiculously expensive . Compare what you pay here with cities like Australia , New York and other European cities .
