Seeing jmook play reminds me of when we first saw Zain upset Leffen. Oh man I hope this guy somehow makes it up there, that would be so sick for the melee timeline.
You're never ready for HGOD unless you train specifically for him. He's not like any other top player. Zain hasn't lost to HGOD with his marth in years, but he still labs against puff because he knows this will happen if he doesn't
Well well well what do we have here? Hbox has been doing well so far this year getting 3rd at almost every event but has not made it to winners side grands until now. Mango has said recently that he believes that he himself has a higher chance of winning a tournament than Hbox even though he did not make top 8 until this tournament. Well look at Hbox now Mango he just won GOML with Jmook beating zain in losers its looking like an easy win for the HGOD!
Btw Toph, move staling does NOT affect knockback in Melee, the formula for knockback takes the move's damage before staling. In Brawl and onwards however, staling does matter.
It does affect knockback. If you look at the formula, it is true that the variable d is equal to damage dealt by the move without counting staleness, but the variable p is equal to the percent that the target is at *after the hit*. Thus, if a move deals less damage due to being stale, and the target is at a lower percentage after the hit because of that, staling does indeed reduce knockback.
Btw if you want to test and see, go fully stale Fox upsmash on Bowser in training mode on FD and hit him with one at 99%. It won't kill, but then if you SD to clear your stale queue, upsmash will kill Bowser as low as 92%.
@@SSB_Seal Yea you are 100% correct. You can also feel this in matches, if you use bair over and over again, at some point it doesn't even knock the opponent down

Not a fan of these mid-set popoffs by Hbox. As a longtime competitor and TO, it feels extremely unsportsmanlike and a form of psychological warfare that shouldn't be allowed. I'm all down for a crazy popoff afterwards for the crowd but doing so mid-set seems very out of line.
@@kelp7060 you're acting like a common and accurate expression is outlandish, all I'm saying is to stay civil during games and keep the aggression in the game. Just be professional and respectful and save the popoff for after. If you want crazy and outlandish claims go watch evidence.zip 2

Puff is the best character in the game, HBox makes it look like that isn't the case with bad DI, no tech skill and failure to lab basic stuff (only now doing tech chase rests and CC rests)
Holding down has been popular for many years. In this specific matchup it's extremely strong to do so, which is part of the reason Plup switched to Fox in the matchup.
I can't believe seen Hbox on winner's side of grands, it's been so long...
Well...
@The7thLevel-- our*

I like Hbox too but does it ever feel maybe a bit obsessive tracking every placement, calling him a god, and naming your account after him?
