Hello, is there a way for me to send and have this repaired by you? My switch has the same error code and I don’t want to send it to Nintendo because I’ll lose all of my game data and progress.
Well, this repair is definitely over my head, guess I’ll be sending my sons switch back to Nintendo for repair, worth the 100 bucks
Before sending it to Nintendo... consider a local repair center. Nintendo will only send you back a replacement. So, all your "Stuff" will be gone. A local repair center will fix it, and you will have all your data.
@PghGameFixl local repair place fixed my spitting disk ps4.... only for it to lose all data and start spiting disk again

I can't get the microscope to focus unless it is about 1 inch from the PCB. Am I missing something in the setup or settings?

@@You-gk1el An exact price is hard to give. While it's generally one chip that is the issue... there could be other things that have shorted out. Generally you would be looking at $50 plus shipping. The easiest way to contact me is on facebook.

@@PghGameFix ok. My wife had done an online request with Nintendo, but you're closer...we're in Irwin. It's gotten past that screen and just displays the low battery indicator now, and won't charge on any AC adapter

I was following your video, but my low heat soldering and heat gun weren’t working to take off port, even with flux. Unfortunately, this is my first “intense” fix. 😢
I was having the same issue. I applyed flux to the port and used the heat gun but the port didn’t come off. I turned up the temperature but nothing different happened. I tryed soldering some metal on then using flux but I don’t know what to do. I have never soldered before this and I’m sure someone more experienced in soldering can help me out. So please some help me.
my sons switch gave an error code and he shut it down and now it will not turn on no matter what. Any ideas of the fix? It has charge when it errored. I do not know what code it was.
Unfortunately... without knowing the code... it could be a lot of things. I would plug a charger in it... and make sure it is charged. Then, hold the power button for 20 seconds to make sure it is fully powered down. And then, try to start it again.
Hey umm I have a Nintendo switch OLED model I think it’s damaged as well it appears with the same code but now it doesn’t turn on I’m trying to charge it and it doesn’t work anymore.
That code comes up because the charge director chip is bad. That's probably why it's not charging.
I think this may be my problem. But I’m not mechanical enough to fix this. Can you help

Ultra impressive... But well way out of my league. I am full of envy. I have that error, you replace things I have no hope to do myself, and boom it works again. Sad times.

How does someone send you their switch? Mine did this today, and the only modification I've done is add K5 Pro to the heatpipe for better cooling. I can kinda solder, but surface mount is out. I have multiple pokemon saves that I cannot lose, but my switch doesn't turn on. Always used Nintendo branded chargers, and my port doesn't look messed up as far as I can tell. I'm comfortable opening it and checking for shorts, but I wouldn't know what to do with that information if I found one.
Okay I opened it, and I don't have a ground fault anywhere near that chip. Looking across the to the other side though, I do have issues with ground on a few surface mount resisters below HAC-EMMC. A resistor should stop the multimeter making a tone when touching both sides right? I have some resistors that tone when touching both sides, but don't tone when touching the resister and ground.
So wait after that repair does anything reset

I registered my son instead of myself as primary and can't link myself. So I can't enter the online membership code. Is it easier to delete everything and then register myself as main user?

That's something you will have to ask the place the will be fixing your system.

Great video I came across this as my daughter's switch got that error code. And turns out the charger port is damaged. My warranty has run out, is there any way I can get this fixed and if so what am I looking at for price range.
You can send it to me if you would like. Prices will depend on what I find, but the port is generally $45, and the charge control IC that was replaced in the vid is $55. (Plus shipping) I will discount some if both need replaced since the labor isn't as much while it is apart.

Assuming it's only the charge control chip.. it's $65. But I often find the USBc port is damaged also, and that is what caused the chip to give up. That would be $80 for both. (and shipping if you are not local)
I had this issue once before, and resolved it, but it recently happened again and I have no idea why this keeps happening.
That code come from the charge chip. If it went away on it's own... then the original issue was never resolved.
I replaced this chip once and was fine. Sold and client got this error, so I replaced chip again but error is still there. Any clues?

replaced power chip near battery no luck, changed m9 again no luck.......change m9 for the 3rd time, worked. Either was installing slightly wrong(with no shorts) or getting bad chips from supplier

Yeah my switch got the same error I used a different batter and tried to get to maintenance mode but I think it’s the chip as well

Chances are... the port itself is damaged. You may want to take it apart, and clean it, or replace it.

I have a error message 2002-2058 MLB the show but corrupted data was found and I'm downloading it to see if it works
What if the battery was knocked loose? My fiancé’s dog was trying to bury herself underneath the blanket when she kicked my switch lite off the bed and I just figured that might be the case.
The internal battery connection has no room to disconnect inside the housing.

Yes... 3rd party chargers can cause the system to burn out.
This just happened again to my son’s Switch Lite. I had Nintendo “fix” it in October. We have only ever used the original charger. He’s devastated that is happening again.
@@ladymoonglo either he overcharges at night ! Or generally just overcharges anytime of day and that’s what the problems occurs
Remember once it reaches 100% just take it off immediately that’s what I do

Sorry to hear that. When starting to work with small surface mount stuff... you should get a dead board to practice with.
@@PghGameFix I was a bit overconfident because I have done some smd work in the past but nothing quite as tight as that chip surrounded by the cluster of caps. I'll probably buy a dead motherboard and try harvesting caps off it with my heated soldering tweezers
