Thank you Allison for allowing us a break from chevy, chevy, chevy, on this channel ! I know last year you guys did quite a few Dart videos, and it's nice to see you back at your Dart !!
Love how Jeff explains the mechanical aspect of cars. For younger people like myself, racing seems overwhelming due to the maintenance side of things. Great video!
Love how much you 2 have learned and are still learning. If you look back a year ago both of you have picked up a lot of information. Keep up the good work. 👍
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ yeeee haaaa more jeffafaa, and moms!! Moms is such a savage, you can see where Allison gets her whitty since of humer! They can cap on you quick!!
I bought a set of those CNC ported 190's for my 408 and they work great and gave a boost in compression since they have 60cc chambers. you will see a difference in your time at the track that's for sure
Ive heard that story that carbon on top of pistons supposedly adds compression... no, it adds pre-detonation. If your running engine hard and carbon heats up to where its hot enough or glowing it could ignite fuel and or NOS to early.
Glad you have a good engine. Has Jeff watched mission impossible? The 318 that's going to be auctioned off for St. Judes hospital. Charles Servedio, David Vizard. And Unity Motor Sports Garage channels. I'm just trying to get them more subscribers for the cause. They are going the the end of the earth modifying stock parts. They are worth it! Thanks for the video.
Tommy JUST WANT TO SAY I LOVED YOUR STORY THAT YOU SHARED ON TIN SOLDIER POD CAST . THATS WHY I WAS SO HOOKED ON YOUR BROTHER WHEN HE TALKS AS JUST WATCHING RACES .
Jeff a guy I used to know just won the Baby Gators last weekend In super Stock Kenny Schindler. Who ever did that engine did do a good job. Jeff you are a great teacher. I love how you explain things.
@@jeffkovalik7395 Yes he is I used to help and travel with some friends that had a super gas car and kenny would be at a lot of the races and I would help him back then he had a I think it was a 69 Camaro. I used to know him pretty well and he used to work on my wifes Grand Cherokee at the dealer ship he worked at for a while.
This is awesome 2 videos back to back, billy posted on Facebook about your blue truck if love to see gen 2 garage do the video on this channel every one that's supporting gen2 let's get this done!!!!😊
The 340’s were killer lil motors, they had good compression from the factory like the big blocks. Decking the block and milling the heads does help out a lot, it made a difference in my 446 big block mopar. Keep up the great work guys.
Allison I'm Very impressed by your Work and Great Content and Video 💯 Jef fa fa is very impressive at the knowledge Thanx for sharing your Great experience 👍 Have a Great Day 👍 God Bless You and your Family and 👍
Jefffefefe dewalt took ur light design man. With just hooking battery up to it..almost identical to urs. I might been late to the party.he got compensated.nice dewalt tools
Awesome video gen2 garage i been a chevy person all my life and i own a few s10s but i definitely have been learning a lot about mopars from watching your channel and now i want one to add to my fleet 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great learning experience but more so theres 2 young people learning hands on and a great mentor/dad that gets this oppurtunity, and tommys family is same.Like it was 60 years ago,now families are fractured and messed up.
The Hi performance 340s were positive deck from the factory, however the factory heads being a full open chamber, this wasn't an issue. Edelbrock sells their LA heads in either quench style for the 318/360/etc and another 340 PN that has the quench milled for clearance for the positive deck pistons. Have a look at your heads, if you see any imprint on the quench side from the piston lid you'll need a thicker head gasket. If there are no marks, you should be good to go even though your actual piston to head clearance on the quench side might only be .020".
I'm sitting here thinking about it. It's crazy to think 3 little bolts are responsible for transferring all that power to the rear wheels. Sure, there are other factors, but when you really think about it, the torque converter bolts are the main piece of the puzzle.
You got some great people aroused you tommy Allison's mom is so beautiful and so sweet and jeff is a sweetheart also 😂😂😂😂 good families are rare these days cherish what you have and enjoy it
I want to see Allison drag race in the Falcon. That would be awesome to see. And to see more of Allison drag racing the dart.Tommy time to rejuvenate the S-10 and bring it back. That truck is so sweet. You have the Falcon and you need to get the S-10 back out. Allison has to finish her Dodge Dakota with a very healthy V-8.
The 340 is suppose to eventually go in the Dakota. They have a 6.2L Hemi (correct me if I'm wrong) for the Dart. Personally I would have just big blocked (440) the Dart and keep it simple and off the computer.
You guys should turbo the 340 dont under estimate it ive done a 360 for a customer stock crank hbeam rods performer rpm cylinder heads ,solid flat tappet head studs main studs ,ebay shorty headers 94 mm precision turbo blow through carb e85 over 1000 atw ,5.20s on 1/8 at 3600 lbs
Love the channel guys, but I do a have a complaint, videos need to be alot longer, screw the editing, let Jeff teach us. Good luck this year with all the cars and trucks! God Bless!!!!
Id like to build a Dakota like yours Alison.. My uncle had Sweet Blue &Silver 93 extendedcab Dakota with a 5.2 Magnum.. Factory Sunroof, Lowered down with nice wheels and tinted windows. Like to build one just like it but with a Hemi. ileah is stoked to see you race the Dart this season. She just messaged me said Tommy&Alison just posted. 😎
Trick Flows are a closed chamber head. With those pistons, look like replacement style early 340 pistons, you will likely need a thicker head gasket to get quench and proper piston to head clearance. Distance out of the hole then add .035-040 and get that thickness gasket when compressed, like cometic. If you put a perma torque Fel Pro with closed chamber heads, it will most likely make the clearance to tight. Cometic tend to like a smoother finish than most rebuilders and OEM put on the surfaces. 904 run behind some good HP engines when built right. I never run a 727 behind a small block anymore, no need. 904's also don't have some of the potential issues that 727's have, boom.
Thank you Allison for allowing us a break from chevy, chevy, chevy, on this channel ! I know last year you guys did quite a few Dart videos, and it's nice to see you back at your Dart !!
Anything 340 related will always get my view. Great content between this and the new Duster
I'm glad to see a 904 going in the Dart.
It's has a 350 Chevy trans now
They just pulled it and are getting ready to install a 904. They even talk about it in the video
Love how Jeff explains the mechanical aspect of cars. For younger people like myself, racing seems overwhelming due to the maintenance side of things. Great video!
all you gotta do is want enough and love it it will come!
Jeff is a good teacher.common knowledge to us old timers but a hell of a teacher for you youngsters 💪
i love me a tommy, allison , jeff and shop supervisor video
IDC What they say... 340ci is a beasty lil motor !! Owned a 73 Challenger with a 340 4bbl !! SlapStick Forest Green. Peppy little car !! Miss her !!
If I caught that right, out with the turbo 350 and in with the 904.
Love how much you 2 have learned and are still learning. If you look back a year ago both of you have picked up a lot of information. Keep up the good work. 👍
Love the Mopar content have owned a few wish I had a couple of them now

This video went by fast!! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the rebuild..
Thanks for new video 😊 you need to take mom for a ride or let her take a hit in it when car is back together 😊
Jeff is a great teacher he explains things so well and makes it interesting not blah blah boring. You da man Jeff.
I'm sure Jeff remembers the dribbling water down the carb while the engine was running to steam clean some carbon from the valves and pistons
Man yall on a roll with the videos youve put out more in two weeks than the last 6 mos it seems
My only complaint is that it was too short. Great video, can't wait to see how it turns out. Got a nice little piece there Allison.
Thanks guys. Another great video. Loving my shirts and people comment on them every time. Apparently my doctors all love you. Weird?
Good to see forged pistons in there! Can't wait to hear it fire up with all the new goodies.

Thanks for the entertainment and updates i always look forward to a gen2 video. God bless and as always be safe.

good choice with the 904 you'll much happier with it
great vid, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one working w/o a lift. LOL!
Glad you have a good engine. Has Jeff watched mission impossible? The 318 that's going to be auctioned off for St. Judes hospital. Charles Servedio, David Vizard. Kenny is a really nice guy. He often battles it out for class with a good buddy of mine in his SS/DA Challenger.
