If it was RTA (Real Time Attack) it would include loading screens, meaning the faster your computer loads the levels, the quicker the game will make you run it. So using IGT makes it so your computer doesn't need to cost a billion dollars to do a speedrun.

Pancho Gallardo he used 1 running R1 moveswapped and two normal 2HR1 for Ornstein and 3 running R1 moveswapped +1 2HR1 for super Smough, that's why he can kill them so fast

Jack Middleton Its the red tearstone ring he has. Its boosts damage when low health. Also, he are you using the black knight halberd? Cus that does way more damage than the normal halberd.

If you kill the Asylum Demon before getting estus, you don't get the big pilgrim key. The estus man gives it to you instead. You can't leave the asylum without estus

+DangerousPerson He's using the red tearstone ring which increases your attack rating by 50% at low health. Because of the way attack and defense scale in Dark Souls that will translate to an increase of ~60-150% damage. The Black Knight Halberd is also just ridiculous on its own.

I don't understand why he didn't just dupe the homeward bone after gargoyles, I understand he probably killed the npc for souls but this still saves time, he wouldn't need to buy waste time to buy the bone
Kyle Balgowan It doesn't matter anyway, it's probably almost the same time(both require you going into the menu and buying requires you to start talking to the npc while duping requires you to parry once, however, after he kills the npc he still needs to wait for the npc to die, if he times it well the parry time could be ignored, saving him probably like 0.5sec maybe)...Just was wondering why he doesn't just dupe because he obviously could. Anyways, that's just me trying to be cheap lol, even in game... The little devil was speaking to me: "WHY WOULD YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY FOR" lol
Kai Keeper you don't have a homeward bone if you go straight to gargs that was patched out early on so he has to buy at least 1 bone and getting 2 is faster than duping the one
you need 22 strength amd 18 dex to use halbert, that 2000 souls from oswald allowed him to exactly level that stats, so it was pretty important for that run
u didnt die, broke the game did som seriously dangerous drops like the one in blighttown an did it all without armor and attacked the bed of chaos as the 2nd boss. Im quite immpressed

You need the key from Oscar to progress to the upper floor. Pretty sure killing him is faster than talking tho

No Master Key then, which means going through Undead Burg, which means fighting the Taurus Demon. It's a much longer route.

He has stats to wield it in two hands, so no there is not exploit in that, but he is using some weapon swap exploiting, but i dont know how that works

I came a little considering it took me 2 hours to beat Q&S and I had to have a summon or two with me (beat it with 1 summon)
