You can change the reguonal setting sof your pc to metric ir yiu can simply type cm after yiur value. For example 0.5cm is 5 millimetres. As siloon as you accept the value it will convert to inches vut that is fine because it us still 5 millimetres but the equivalent in inches.
Hey sir, thank you so much for posting these videos. I would like to know some additional tips when it comes to writing the theory exam, as I am unsure about how the Cambridge examiners are going to correct our papers.
All you have to do is to type your value in cm and place cm after. For example if you want 3 cm then type 3 cm. It will change it to " but the size in inches will be the equivalent to 3cm and thatbis what is important now if you want your computer to display in cm then you need to change your settings on your pc in the regional settings to use cm instead on Inches. Essentially your device is set up to UK system and you want to use metric system. You dont need to change it though.
mister nico. may i ask. why do u use different fonts than the ones asked to use. in 12:04 it said serif font but you used new roman. and in others where it’s asked to use sans serif you used arial. do we have to use the same fonts you used instead of the original? if not then please explain it. thanks!
Sans serif means arial and serif means times new roman. They are just types of font categories and u have to put either arial or times new roman depending on whether they asked serif or sans serif
Serif and Sans Serif are font categories, not fonts. All fonts that have the little ticks on the edges (like Times New Roman) are serif fonts because the little ticks are called serifs. Sans Serif fonts are those fonts that do not have the little ticks (serifs). Sans in French means without. So Sans Serif means without serifs (or ticks). This means that when it says to use a serif font you can use any font that has the little ticks and if it says sans serif you can use any font without the ticks. I use Times New Roman and Arial because from the mark sheets i can see that this is the font that the exam board uses for generating the marksheets. You will not lose marks if you use a different font providing it is the a font that in the category requested. Personally i would use Times New Roman and Arial as this will result in a document that will look similar to the marksheet.

Typically a widow and an orphan means that the first line of the paragraph is at the end of the page or column and the rest of the paragraph is on the next page or column. The line that is on its own is Know as an orphan. If the paragraph is on one page or column and the last line is on the next page or column then that line is known on its own is known as the widow. So to sum up, the first line or last line of a paragraph should not be separated from the rest of the paragraph. 2 or more lines separated is ok. To remove blank page. There are many ways to do this but the easiest way to explain through a post is this method. Place your cursor at the end of the page before the blank page and press the Delete button. Keep pressing Delete until the blank page vanishes. I hope the above helped

Fjrst you need rest before your exam tomorrow. As for label sorting. I did not apply any sort in the query. The sorting from label wizard will only give you ascending. You cant choose descending. If you wanted any other sorting then you would do that in the query and that will be carried through to the labels as the labels are generated using the first record, then second then third and so on. So if you do the srorting in the query it will be fine. Hope that clears it up. Get some rest.
NO because the question paper says that it must display Yes/No. See here: ua-cam.com/video/vsd5TnNR8Sc/v-deo.html As for sorting, yes you can sort int eh query but you need to make sure that the sorting is correct when you make the report and the order of the fields should also be checked. In Query you can not determine the first and second order of the sort if there are multiple fields to sort by. SO i suggest you either do the sort when creating the the report and rearrange the order of the fields or apply the sort in the design view of the report, it is far safer.
hello sir, just finished my paper 2 practicals just now, your tutorials on how to create combo boxes were really helpful for the data entry form question in my recent paper 😊 However, i was stuck with a question for a word document that asked to format and change the bullet points into star shaped ones and i spent 15 mins searching for the symbol but still couldn’t find it… so i just changed it into a diamond one.. oh and could u explain why one of the data fields that i correctly inputted in the query for it to show but when i made the report using the query, the data field didnt show up? it was one of the last data columns that was supposed to show up in the report. Do u think i lost about one mark for that data field not showing up in my printed report? i re did it so many times but still failed to make the last data field show up…
its funny that they asked for a star shape bullet as that is what i just demonstrated to my Y10 class an hour ago. You can find shapes like this in the wingdings. You say your newly created field was not displaying in the report but displayed when you run the query. I can think of 2 reasons this may happen. Did you select your query before creating the report? If you had a table selected then the report was based on the table which did not have the newly created field. Second, maybe the label and field name in the report were squashed to the right and you had to expand the place holders. If these were the only 2 hings that you had issues with, then you did good
@@paphitisn the question did not ask to create any new field so that last field was in both report and query. I think i redid the query and report 3 more times b4 giving up.. but anyways those were my only issues which are pretty minor. Hope it works @paphitisn As for the last field which I think its work_exp, its really squashed and you have to go to design view to see it. I did twice because I thought I didn't add the field haha. Sir, which paper has the hardest html you have ever seen? Your tutorials has helped me in both paper 2 and paper 3, however I am not confident in my html skills yet.
The hardest paper is the one that focuses on things you don't know or you are weak in. So, for each person it could be a different paper. My suggestion is to make sure you know the required metatags, i have a tutorial on these. Then practice the most recent papers (2022- 2024). If you learn the required skills in these papers you will ace any paper they give you.

Sir I had an urgent question, what if the question says create a label with 10 labels to each page each of a height of 9cm but, I create a label with 10 labels to each page but with a different height (either higher or lower) do I lose marks? Because I have the amount of labels they asked me but a different height? I use an older access so I cannot customise my label hence I am asking

depends on the total marks for that part but i would not think more than 3. 1 for all fields displayed, maybe one for correct format and 1 for anything else they asked for.

@@yeettime698 This means you have used a wrong data type for one of the fields. Open the table with errors and you will see which one you did wrong. You will have to then import the table frkm the beginning again. If you have trou le still, send me an email with a screen shot showing som rows from the table with errors.

@@Shan_Wijerathne21 don't think about that now. Focus on the next two papers.you can still pull up your marks. Remember these exams are just stepping stones. They do not dictate your future. That is up to you. Focus on what is ahead and you will be fine.
Convert to cm. So 99mm is 9.9 cm. Enter 9.9cm on the box and it will use cm.. it may convert the 9.9cm to inches (3.89 inches) but that is fine because it is the correct distance. You could change your refional setting if yiu wanted to but it is good to know that you can simply type in the cm and it will be correct.

its funny that they asked for a star shape bullet as that is what i just demonstrated to my Y10 class an hour ago. You can find shapes like this in the wingdings. You say your newly created field was not displaying in the report but displayed when you run the query. I can think of 2 reasons this may happen.
Did you select your query before creating the report? If you had a table selected then the report was based on the table which did not have the newly created field. Second, maybe the label and field name in the report were squashed to the right and you had to expand the place holders. If these were the only 2 hings that you had issues with, then you did good
@@paphitisn the question did not ask to create any new field so that last field was in both report and query. I think i redid the query and report 3 more times b4 giving up.. but anyways those were my only issues which are pretty minor. Thank you again for all these videos as it also raises my confidence on doing the next paper this following week :)

As for the last field which I think its work_exp, its really squashed and you have to go to design view to see it. I did twice because I thought I didn't add the field haha. Best of luck tomorrow
@dennishe341 what a great idea with the star. Noone can argue with that. As for the field, it js as i thought. It was added but squashed so you had to modify the width in design view. Good hob. Love the screenshot of the star you drew.

Sir, which paper has the hardest html you have ever seen? Your tutorials has helped me in both paper 2 and paper 3, however I am not confident in my html skills yet.
The hardest paper is the one that focuses on things you don't know or you are weak in. So, for each person it could be a different paper. My suggestion is to make sure you know the required metatags, i have a tutorial on these. Then practice the most recent papers (2022- 2024). If you learn the required skills in these papers you will ace any paper they give you.

Hello sir, at 1:07:44, it tells me it is set to letter. When I try to change it to A4, it just remains as letter. How should I rectify this?
Sir I had an urgent question, what if the question says create a label with 10 labels to each page each of a height of 9cm but, I create a label with 10 labels to each page but with a different height (either higher or lower) do I lose marks? Because I have the amount of labels they asked me but a different height? I use an older access so I cannot customise my label hence I am asking
I think you'd lose marks there man. Maybe there's a workaround, but you should probably consider updating now.

Hello sir I did the exams 5 hrs ago, although it was simple I wasn’t composed and I made a few mistakes. How many marks do I lose if I did not display a field in the report? I did the rest but I missed one?
depends on the total marks for that part but i would not think more than 3. 1 for all fields displayed, maybe one for correct format and 1 for anything else they asked for.

And that field had no involvement in anything apart from being displayed

@@yeettime698 This means you have used a wrong data type for one of the fields. Open the table with errors and you will see which one you did wrong. You will have to then import the table frkm the beginning again. If you have trou le still, send me an email with a screen shot showing som rows from the table with errors.
@@paphitisn I've finally fix it. I had to change the Date order from "MDY" to "DMY" in Advanced while importing the table. Do let anyone know about it if they face the same problem.

@@Shan_Wijerathne21 don't think about that now. Focus on the next two papers.you can still pull up your marks. Remember these exams are just stepping stones. They do not dictate your future. That is up to you. Focus on what is ahead and you will be fine.

Convert to cm. So 99mm is 9.9 cm. Enter 9.9cm on the box and it will use cm.. it may convert the 9.9cm to inches (3.89 inches) but that is fine because it is the correct distance. You could change your refional setting if yiu wanted to but it is good to know that you can simply type in the cm and it will be correct.
