    Hate to say it, Manny, but you made the wrong call on that shot at 1:08. Wasn't an edge ball. You can see the ball clearly went down after making contact with the table.

      Agree. That was so obvious too. Should’ve been 7-5 instead of 8-4

      agree

    • @PongGod

      @Muhaimin B. Whether or not it hits the metal frame or makes any particular sound is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. The only thing that matters is the change of direction the ball takes after making contact. If it hits the edge, the trajectory of the ball will be upwards even if slightly. This was obviously not the case.

    • @PongGod
      @PongGod 4 роки тому +1

      @Muhaimin B. What I'm claiming isn't defying physics. When the ball hits the top surface of the table, it will bounce upwards. When the ball hits the side of the table, it will descend toward the floor. So the difference between the two is how the trajectory of the ball changes upon contact. We should have no disagreement about this. The question is that "gray area" in between known as the edge. Now create an imaginary plane, an extension of the table's surface beyond the side of the table. If the ball strikes the edge of the table, it will bounce in such a way that the ball will remain above this imaginary plane at least momentarily before falling toward the floor. However, if the ball strikes the side of the table, it will descend immediately and never rise above that imaginary plane.
      It's nice that you've been playing for the past 16 years; I've been playing more than twice as long as you have, but of course all of that is also IRRELEVANT.

      @Muhaimin B. "looks like you don't play pingpong or even watch pingpong. Just watch some matches dude, you'll know."
      That's particularly funny because I played Li Kewei in the quarterfinals of this very same tournament. But I'll be sure to consult you whenever I need some education about ping-pong.

    男削球手中可能李科威的动作是最漂亮的(最具观赏价值)。女削球手中可能是波兰的李倩。

    Bruno annoys the hell out of me. Classic player getting mad because his tactics aren't working and too stubborn to change strategies. Keeps doing the same thing with the same result, letting the frustration build up. No wonder he lost in straight games.

    • @ChessArmyCommander
      @ChessArmyCommander 2 роки тому

      Maybe that was the best he could do. At the time. And when that's the case, it can be frustrating when your best effort is not enough to get the W.
