Watching this video a few years later makes me realize the amazing opportunity I had to play against the best defensive player in history (in my opinion). I know the conditions where not the best, specially for choppers, but the experience was unbelievable regardless. It's a shame there are only a few top defensive players left in the tour, the bottom line is it's really hard to play defense at a high level in modern table tennis, but at the same time it’s a special art ;)
The casual player will never realize how difficult it is to smash Joo's slice backhands. Some pros like Ma Long make it look easy, but if a weekend warrior tries it, he'd get nothing but net
Congratulations! What a great feeling that must have been. You made great choices in your strategy, too. Of course he is the better player, and maybe was not giving it 100 percent, but you have yourself a chance to win points and even take a game. Plus, it made the match very entertaining. Bravo
That backhand from Joo! :) Saw him in LA in 2017 :) Fantastic match, thanks for sharing. And you are a great musician as well! If you happen to be in Santa Barbara, you should drop by Carillo St. Gym - we play there on Wed. nights ;)
I come several times back to this video, cause it´s a pleasure to see you playing without respect against Joo. Your skills are at a very high level, super technique, fighting and enjoying although you know you´ll lose for sure. And you even win one set!
Indeed we all choppers are joo fans but I am also ur fan especially after watching ur training video.I have made some adjustments after watching u and its working.
Andres, great shot making to take points of a top 10 world class player! Nice to see a world class player playing with the "common foolk" of table tennis!
Hello Andres Rafael! I'm also a big fan of Joo Sea Huyk and today I happened to watch a video of you competing with Joo Sea Huyk - my Idol. I would like to ask you, can you tell me about the process of training, choosing racket blade combos and sucking on both sides from the beginning until forming the current playing style? Thank you Andres Rafael!
what did you two say to each other at the end of the game? Did you manage to speak to him at all as well? I would be fanboying too hard to play if I was to meet him!!
Hello, South Korea SunNam Lee. A nice form. Excuse me, but I want to know the age and table tennis rackets and rubbers used types of girls. Is the United States freezing table tennis facilities in the state?
Mrityunjoy Chowdhury Tenergy 64 would be way too soft for him, buttefly just would be stupid if they didn't try to market the rest of the tenergy series (even though if a pro plays tenergy its 05 95% of the time)

You played against my all time favorite hero :), you did great as well :D, but Joo is just... LIFE GOALS :p
The space for Joo to chop was very limited. Downside for many choppers
yea this type of tournament is ass for choppers. until the final rounds where they clear out all the other tables
Wow u r also very good
At first I thought to myself "quite a large blade for an offensive player". Then you started with defense :) Very good Topspins and very good defense!
Indeed we all choppers are joo fans but I am also ur fan especially after watching ur training video.I have made some adjustments after watching u and its working.
Andres Avila Chavez
Se vusca al señor Andres Avila Chaves

Andres, great shot making to take points of a top 10 world class player! Nice to see a world class player playing with the "common foolk" of table tennis!

La vida tiene sentido gracias a estas cosas.
You had potential man
I like this pair style when they hits the ball.
Oh my god! Joo is still playing table tennis!
He got Behcet syndrome at 2012.
Can some one please let me know which pimple rubber is used by Joo Se Hyuk
TSP curl P1
Andres, por favor suba mas videos de tenis de mesa.
what did you two say to each other at the end of the game? Did you manage to speak to him at all as well? I would be fanboying too hard to play if I was to meet him!!
+Wei Xian Ng he asked me where do I come from and told me I played a good match.
what blade , FH and BH rubber do you use ?
Great defense Andres ;-))
What kind of backhand rubber does he use?
Hello, South Korea SunNam Lee.

el Gran Josecito Hyuk jaja
+jahjahvic I'm from Greece too and I am a Chopper too !!!
Did you get a chance to look at his equipments?
+Mrityunjoy Chowdhury Yes I did. He uses his own blade, a Tenergy 05 and a TSP Curl P-1R 1.5
Are you sure about Tenergy 05? Lots of people say he uses Tenergy 64.
Andres Rafael are you sure is 05??
Mrityunjoy Chowdhury Tenergy 64 would be way too soft for him, buttefly just would be stupid if they didn't try to market the rest of the tenergy series (even though if a pro plays tenergy its 05 95% of the time)
Now he uses xiom and curl P3
What tournament is that?
wtf why are there so many chopping legends in this?!? Joo Se Hyuk, Andres, AND Kaz???
Joo is no 1 chopper now.
joo let him enjoy the match
Wow! Well done Andres.
So lucky. I would like to play with Joo.

You're very good, but there still are some flaws in your game that separate you from the best players in the world.
