Really, who doesn't need an amazingly flexible sociopathic caboose in their life? This was one of my favorite shows as a kid, and I remember being so sad when CB was taken out of the show. He was easily my favorite character, and to this day his song "There's Me" is still one of the best musical theatre tenor ballads I know.
It has been playing in its own theatre in Germany since, what, 30 years or so and they still have CB. Worst decision every to remove him from other shows. What were they thinking?
@@normalityrelief Yes, Bochum. :) They revamped the show two years ago though so now CB has a different costume and a bit of a different character now. More like a wannabe gangster Michael Jackson smooth criminal-style doing it for the money. I initially didn't like the new costume because hey, who likes change, but now I really like it. Plus, they dialled up the chemistry between CB and Electra (they blatantly pair them up doing the finale/mega mix too) which is fun. lol
If he appears in a film adaptation, how would he feel if he gets written into a straight-forward villain who blackmails Greasball into granted his request to be converted into a weaponized train engine if they win and he dies during the film's climax?
This is the version of CB that I have adopted for my fanfictions. He looks young, he sounds young, he's athletic, plus I adore the red costume. My ultimate favourite CB is the original, Michael Staniforth, but I prefer the red costume.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm still totally in awe of that split in the beginning *o* do you know of any other Caboose actors that would do that, or was it just Todd?
So, now he wipes out Greaseball and not Rusty? Interesting... [[Have only memorized the Original London Cast Recording, threw out New London in disgust for excluding CB, so... Completely ignorant of what changes were made since.]]
Seriously!!! We need it! I'm happy it's playing successfully in Germany! Just wish it would revive in the US as I'm not likely to afford a trip to Germany any time soon. XD
Now THIS is Starlight Express!!! Not that SHRINKFLATION version in London currently. You can see every dollar that you spent on tickets in THIS version playing here.

@@phangirlable That's right! Bochum, isnt it? I didnt know they kept CB in it though! Next time I'm in Germany I am gonna make that happen

C.B's split gives me a reason to live
I can't help but giggle when Electra catches him when he almost falls. Their chemistry in this is gold.
sometimes you have a crush on a murderous choo choo train 😔
You know what _you'd be right_
It do be like that😔
True that.
SAME
It’s a caboose tho

@@artierace8664 thank you!

His voice is hypnotic....
@@artierace8664 I AM OM MY WAY
I love this bootleg so much, also *HOW ON EARTH DOES HE DO THE SPLITS WHALST ROLLING*
The split at the beginning! How?!
hes a savage thats why and he dont give 2 sghits
Because Todd Lester is the definition of legend
Witchcraft.
i’m so glad in recent productions they started using his name instead of red caboose, it flows so much better
0:34 DAMN that split!
Absolutely adore Caboose!!
Thanks for putting this up :D
No problem!
I have been searching for footage of this song for ages! THANK YOU!!
Brianna F no problem!
Please do not delete it I love 💖 it!!!!!!!!
Wow!! He hits the C5 so well at 3:56
I LOVE Caboose
He's good...... but no one can replace micheal staniford, we lost him too early
Wait what happened? I'm still learning about the actors in the roles
@@sondersighs Sadly Michael Staniford passed away due to AIDS.
@@ZacBrzuchalski Oh, my condolences

So far. I think Todd was the only Caboose so far to do that in skates. I think but the Flat Tops in Las Vegas did that on the stage.
That's because the Vegas Flat Top was Todd Lester, facial shape/voice are the same :P
..well, he's playing it in the recording any way >.
Sad to think that by this point, Michael Staniforth, the original London C.B. had passed away. He was such a talent.
He died back in the 70s
@@MackenzieBroderick He passed away in 1987 sadly.

I read on the wiki that he was just saying that to manipulate the two but I could be wrong?
Ah, makes sense. Thanks.
Oh, I see. It all makes much more sense now. Thank you! [See, this is why we need a STEX revival...immediately.]
I need a revival man

Did nobody else realise that Volta fell??
None of Your business when?
It happens at 0:56. Volta just gets up and acts like it never happened.
You know she's a pro when people don't notice. That's part of being professional.
yeah i saw it whenever i'm watching a production of a musical and anyone messes up i feel so bad
@@eiizq I saw that too, but since it was a minor slip and she didn't hurt herself or anyone else, things continued.
He's just like me fr
Great to see this Bootleg 👍👍💯💯
