Thanks for watching friends! Please note - this was recorded prior to Sonixinema's new legato cello library. If I had it here, I would have included it! It's definitely among my new favourites. :)
Thanks for the heads-up on this new cello library! There aren't many reviews online yet, and I'm considering buying it while it's still on sale. Do you happen to know if the long notes are automatically (and very obviously and to my ear unmusically) re-bowed after about 5-6 seconds, like the Spitfire Total Performance cello (which to be fair I like otherwise)?
How come you don't know about bohemian violin by virharmonic? It's clearly the best vst violin available. And emotional cello by best service is far better than Tina Guo cello. I have both, and belive me, emotional cello is far better.
Currently writing a soundtrack using the Cremona Quartet from NI at the moment. Really digging the sound of those right now. Based on your demo, probably the most comparable in sound to Tableau Strings, maybe with a bit more reverb out of the box. Nice video!
JBV is my MVP for solo violin. Audio Imperia Solo actually did a very impressive job with their solo strings. Only one velocity layer though. TG cello legato is arguably the best, but the ancient Nocturne Cello is on par with it and I like its short articulations more.
@@TheUnderscore_ me too because joshuabell has a a tipical sound that I like a lot. However I never test the playability of bohemian violin "because expensive and not krackable on mac.
There's some portamento-style transitions in the library, but you can't really control it manually. It just happens when you're playing in context of a phrase and a larger interval!
It's a perfectly capable library and 100% safe choice with great interface but it's less emotionally evocative than other products. Comparing cellos, it just isn't as passionate as TG or Nocturne Cello.

Can you do a vs video between that and Tina Guo?

The Kunst Audio violin sounds great!
Agreed!

Sonixinema released days ago ,imo the best legato cello that I think you should take a look at.Kind regards.
Yep I know! Vid coming on Thursday.
@@ChristopherSiu I'm looking forward to that too! :)

Thanks for sharing Mike!
Very surprised you don't have the Joshua Bell Violin on here. Probably the greatest solo VST of all time.
hello I like the Joshuabel but I think that bohemian it's the best violin vst.
@@yx2108 Specifically because Bohemian receives frequent updates. I wish they had continued updating the Joshua Bell violin.

For some reason, the first violin library is quite expressive but doesn’t have the timber of a violin in my opinion. Sounds almost like an erhu to me
I know what you mean! I think a bit more scratchiness and more presence on the transitions would help.
@@ChristopherSiu For sure !
Where can I find the link to download the viola? Has also other effects like gliss.,col legno and pizz.?
I like for solo string use Falcon, Bohemia Viola and Ccello.
The violin is a must buy IMHO.
Tina Guo cello is available in Musio for $10 a month.
One of the best music plugin videos i've seen, and I've seen a trillion.
Great choices, all three sound really beautiful! I really need to get some nice solo strings, at the moment I have only sections.
Hi Chris, have you tried Chris Hein solo violín, viola and cheli? I think is the best sound. Thank you!
Hi Gabriel! I haven’t actually, mainly because I’m not a fan of the sound and workflow myself.
thoughts on virharmonic bohemian violin? it's my personal favorite lol
It's inexcusable for him to not have it. It is, hands down, the best bst violin on the market.
Is there portamento is the Kurnst violin library?

do you like CINEMATIC STUDIO SOLO STRINGS ?
I DO :D

All these libraries are great! Thanks for sharing!
