I fall asleep to Dave’s Archive commercials from the 80s to early 90s. It’s crazy comforting bc in my room I can go back in time for just a bit. I have a sleep playlist and it sends me to bed. When my show would be on and I was fighting sleep to stay up and watch it as soon as the commercials kicked on I was done for!! 😴
You never let your devoted fans down. These ad compilations aren't just gauzy nostalgia; they made up, in many ways, part of the fabric of our lives. Thanks!
I grew up with these commercials. They gave ideas on what I could bug my parents to get me. Plus Saturday morning cartoons with a big bowl of soggy Honeycomb, Rice Crispies or Frosted Flakes cereal was heaven.
They do. They were way better commercials in the 1980's and 1990's. My favorite are from the 80's. The people who make commercials these days should study these old ones. Back in the day the commercials seem to have a little story. Some were a little dorky but fun to watch. Now I don't even want to watch them. I skip them! They are too loud and annoying. I miss the 80's!
Oh My Gosh... 'The Babysitter'!?! I actually saw that when I was 12 while on a visitation Weekend with my Dad! (He was always FAR less concerned about what I watched on TV than my Mom!) Thanks as always Dave!
I totally forgot about Pizazz mousse. We had that giant heavy video panasonic camera. My friends and I used to make fake commercials with it. Lol MdDLTs and diet coke were my favorite! Born in 1973.
Thanks for another great compilation! I love playing them in the background while I’m baking or cleaning around the house. I’ll admit, sometimes, I just watch an hour + one, like a favorite show. As Miss Pearl Bailey would say “pure ecstasy, honey” 😂 Also, I remember watching this Friday Night Movie, “The BabySitter”, when it aired. Stephanie Zimbalist, as little Quinn Cummings’ babysitter; while slowly driving Patty Duke Astin, mad and a wedge between she and Shatner; while also working her young sexual prowess on Shatner. Was quite risqué for the times. Good movie & online, too. Thanks, again! I enjoy every new upload and your older ones, too.
The term "Truth in advertising" used to mean something. Now all advertisers care about is how big of a lie they can sell before they get slapped with a lawsuit
I really enjoyed watching all the commercials in this video. Definitely a throwback seeing these commercials. - On another note, the outro at the end of this video says the name of the song is "Coffee Beans", does anyone know who the artist for that song is? Thanks!
Seriously!! My all time favorite commercial. Share the Fantasy. Chanel no.5. Would literally stop me in my tracks have me running for the tv. Never since has a commercial done that to me. Easily 40 plus years ago.
26:30 Joanie Sommers sings for Diet Pepsi. 6:33 George Coe on the v/o for Toyota. 21:33 Jake Holmes sings about chewing gum. 2:05 Dan Ingram on the voice-over for Listerine. 7:42 Bob Landers on the voice-over for Olympus cameras. 43:49 Len Gochman on the v/o for Milky Way. 47:27 James Harder voices a spot for Burger King. 1:10:04 Vic Caroli voices a spot for Texaco.
It wasn't until 2019 or so that I discovered this to be true (I've never mentioned it on the channel). After having conversations with some of my subscribers and supporters, they have either let me know about their autism, or it was in their profile. I find it really interesting, and would love to learn more as to why my content is found to be interesting to this demographic.
@ 1:28:23 The armor-all commercial! That actor, the way they made him do twins! Looks JUST LIKE the twins from the Kitchen Nightmares episode with "Capri's" LMADO!!!! it's a set of twins in that episode! They're absurd! "HOMEMADE MEATBALLS!" you'll be laughing if u look it up!
Alan Melivn. (Sam the Butcher on 'The Brady Bunch'.) He actually did a bunch of characters on 'The Flintsones'! Including SUPER STONE 'Be Hee Hee Ha Ha!'
My aunt had a Renault until the mid 90's. Apparently she had to go to American Motors to buy a French automobile. That sounds like a contradaction in terms.

Me too! Sometimes if I'm tired and wanna sleep I fall asleep to these commercials. Not because I'm bored but because it's comfortable white noise.

Thanks much, Jeff!!! 🍹
LIVED and LOVED this era of my life....The SWATCH commercial (12:21) creatively defines me to this day.
As someone who wasnt alive to see these commercials when they aired, I'm glad this channel exists to give me a glimpse into the past
I grew up with these commercials. They gave ideas on what I could bug my parents to get me. Plus Saturday morning cartoons with a big bowl of soggy Honeycomb, Rice Crispies or Frosted Flakes cereal was heaven.
@@mexi72 I loved Saturday Morning cartoons! My favorite was eating Lucky Charms or Honeycomb while watching The Smurfs. ☺📺☀
These commercials pretty soon will serve as evidence that white people actually existed.
BRAVO! Classic 80s and 90s commercials to take me back!
Maybe I'm just getting old but don't these commercials seem more personal and fun as well as funny than the majority of the commercials today?

ooooh the Japanese commercials, that’s a special kind of satisfying 💞💞💞
Man so many memories. That ABC Friday Night Movie theme actually brought tears to my eyes lol. Life is good.
Beautiful brother you not posting vintage videos you posting memories two.📼📼📼📼👍👍👍
Amusing and relaxing at the same time. Love the food commercials.
So many memories... Thanks for taking your time to make these videos! :)
Wow, thanks so much. It feels like the old days when I didn't pop and ache every time I move.

Damn that wrigleys gum really does a lot for those people. Lol
Hey you try not having internet and see what you're into lol.
Ahhh, I miss the days when a commercial was over and you knew what the product was that they were selling.
The ‘monster vision’ logo is fn great!

Hi
Mr. Derrius Branch checking in.
Aunt Becky slinging Arby’s
Long time Seahawks fan, and Steve Largent selling soap was a huge surprise!
I loved the commercial with Gary Carter. I wasn't a Mets or Expos fan, but he was fun to watch.
Fantastic yet again, Dave!
I remember the snake track from tyco
Did anyone else catch Becky from Full House in the Arby's commercial?
Sorry I didn't see this live. Still enjoyed it nonetheless.
HAHAHA William Zabka in the Dial commercial
I love this channel
Good stuff

1:27:56. Hey, I think those are the twins who owned the Capri restaurant in Eagle Rock, featured on Kitchen Nightmares.
42:37 the ending to StainMaster is just like the opening to Stranger Things...
Ha! Breaking the soap! 😄

My friend was in that naval explosion
Once in awhile I see an actor who I recognize.
I’m only here for the Arby’s
How many people who watch these videos are on the spectrum? I am, and it explains my thirst for 90s nostalgia
I'm on the spectrum

Aunt Becky in the arbys commercial
Now we know where she got the money to buy her two dumbass kids an ivy league education: Arbys commercials.
Well now that was fun! Thanks
Omg the end credits 😂🤭😂😂😂😂😂😂

Liquid Plumbr guy sounds like Fred Flintstone
I don't know about Fred Flintstone, but that actor did dozens of cartoon voices.

Technically Renault owned American Motors in 85-86. Jeep owners hate to admit that some of the best Jeeps ever made were built by the French.
Good morning 🌞
love the japanese ones thrown in. your channel is the best, where do you find it all

Its weird how you can easily guess the decade of the American commercials but the Japanese ones could have still be made today.
