Thank you for sharing, this was wonderful to watch and I loved the music and your voice! Im getting a sewing machine tomorrow so Im definitely going to have a go making this!
I would love to see a feature on your machine.....I was sure it was treadled (foot powered ) as the sound was unmistakable. I have several machines that I interchange on my 1901 singer treadle base. I love the capability of the "newer" machines on the old treadle base .....currently my two most used are a 1957 singer 306w and a Pfaff 230 . The old original Singer gets put to use when I need to go to really heavy thread though... it just handles it better.
I like the addition of a flap to the pockets. I think it will help things from falling out. But why is the bias tape necessary for the pocket flap and pocket piece? Is hemming not enough? And it may be a dumb question, but why was the pocket flap sewn after binding?

I don't like how you hold your thread reels down, the bias tape edges are not finished off, the loops will only hold if you do not use any of the thread? You didn't put the scissor pocket on very neatly at all. A button hole on a single layer of fabric, will not hold for long, the bias on that flap left raw edges out? You could sew on the closing ribbons, in the seam allowance before binding, for some strength, they are very likely to come loose over time with only one seam holding them. Leaving pins in that pincushion over time, they will rust in place, not a good idea with holes possible to fix it. You could add a fold of felt or pinked flannel to the fold, and have a pin page in a needle book, and a needle page too. Pattern page, no longer available...
I like that you tell us at the beginning what you are going to make.

Relaxing and helpful. Thank you. 😊 I am planning on making one for a friend before she goes on a several month journey.
Lovely little tutorial, thank you!
I like the button flap.
Your Husiff is so cute! And very useful. I just made one of these & just figured it out as I went along. It was so fun!
So cute and useful! Would love to try this for when I bring sewing on the train.
Very well done! Thanks for sharing your take on the classic hussif with us~

Are you saying that modern machines can be hooked up to and run via a treadle?

Is the pattern no longer available? The link isn't working. Very pretty
Would it be possible to obtain the pattern for the husiff? The link provided is no longer available. Thank you!
Beautiful
❤❤❤
How does the tape wear on this. Does it not break down?
So far all tape/ribbon is still perfectly fine for me.
Please make more videos 😾
What make and model of sewing machine do you have?
It's an Adler 453 A without electricity.
