- Hi everyone in this video I'm showing some idea of how you can fit a nice shelves unit that you build by yourself into your old fire place. I 've cut all MDF boards to size in a b&Q store . Ronseal wood filler for filling all holes and finally interior primer and Dulux quick dry eggshell for painting. Painting MDF takes most of time as you need to do 3 coats . One with undercoat and then 2 coats of the main paint.

I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
