That MoFo kicked it pretty good .Not many of the Cheaper Inverters would do more than specified.(2000 watts.. plus)

I bought a similar inverter two years ago. It's very good but it too came with 4 AWG cables. I don't get it. At 90% inverter efficiency an inverter putting out 2000w is drawing 172a from LFP batteries in a 12v system, 86 from a 24v system. So those cables might work for a 24v system but are half what the Blue Sea Systems chart shows for a 12v system. Dunno why the inverter companies supply cables if they're unsafe when used in a 12v setup.

Yeah, that's why I recommend investing in better cables when I test most inverters. I've even had some come with aluminum wire. Thanks!

respectfully - even if the battery has a shut off, i would still never open up an inverter with mains connected - otherwise great review as always

Solid advice. I used to build, and work on tube amps as a hobby. Many times I would need to be in the circuit with 500+ vdc running through it. I guess I'm a bit comfortable with it LOL. Thanks!

Did it come with a ground cable? I see the ground on the front.

My Midea inverter 10,000 btu window a/c has a heat option. If yours has heat, it would be interesting to see how much energy it pulls.

    MFU TOO! :)
Do they just pick 6 random letters and combine them together? With all of your experience testing this stuff, do you feel like there are logical limits on how big an inverter you should run with a given battery voltage? Up to 1500 watts for 12 volts, 3000 watts for 24 volts and anything higher you go to 48 volts?

LOL, I was thinking the same :)

20 watts idle is over 2X as much as a 3000 watt Swi Power I use and have done many videos on. That's insane waste for a 2000 watt.

@@kipdennis3796 They are the best inverters for the money you can get, been around 18+ years, not full of worthless trinket crap that waste power.

What size amp fuse would you need between the cable and the inverter

Another Chinese made, poor man's high frequency, transformerless, inverter. High frequency inverter tech was developed back in the early 1990s by the Chinese as a low cost, lightweight, light duty, alternative to high quality, heavy duty low frequency, transformer based inverter tech. You might be able to start and run some high surge loads when these high frequency inverters are new, but every time you fire up one of those inductive loads, you're shortening the life of the MOSFETs in these inverters. High frequency inverters like these are notorious for having short life expectancies and low surge capacities. Not a good investment at any price.
