Sorry for the misunderstanding, but it was actually KI Central who took the photos of the crate. All credit goes to him
It was PKIVortex on Ki central, Amusment park life found the photos on Ki central
I need this to be true. Kings island needs an rmc desperately
Yeah, Twisted Timbers should’ve been given to us
@@CoasterNerdzz we really did deserve it my guy. We need something to replace the vortex spot. And something worthy. Son of beast rmc would most ideal considering it's next to the beast
@@CoasterNerdzzlmao no kd had an ass lineup they needed a good coaster like that
@@coolguy13333 true, true
It’s criminal that Kentucky Kingdom has an awesome RMC and Kings Island doesn’t.
Couldn’t agree more
This makes no sense. The crate says “ATTN: KI Haunt”. They’ve used SOB’s station for a haunt attraction for years. I’d bet money this is just for Haunt and is nothing to do with an RMC tease. There’s no way they’d build a quality RMC anywhere near SteVe and risk toppling one of their own best coasters at their flagship park. KI is most likely getting a Vekoma thrill coaster, family coaster a-la Big Bear, or Infinity coaster based on already established teases.
That's a cruel amount of teasing to not have some merit to it. This makes me very excited for what's to come!
agreed
It's all cruel to all of us. I personally don't think it means anything, but it's fun to assume and possibly anticipate. Honestly you never know these days. Anything can happen.
Congrats on getting 2k views on a video! 🎉
Thank you!! 😁
I have been saying for years we need a ground up RMC Son Of Beast remake. The Vortex land is not big enough for a Son Of Beast remake. It will have to be ran out of Outpost 5. Most of the RMC’s are ground up how much of any RMC still uses the Original wood? Look at Iron Gwazi, Wildcats Revenge they use very little of the original structures. Storm Chaser does but its steel supports.
I agree with you. If they can make it through the one gap between Vat and Banshee they have soooo much space for a world class hybrid. Banshee only took up around half of what Son of Beast did so that would be better.
In May KI asked fans which of 4 coaster types they would like to see next. None of the choices was an RMC. Of course that may mean nothing at all but why even bother to ask?
Because we need a world class coaster
@@CoasterNerdzz what I meant was, why would Kings Island ask fans what types of coaster they wanted next, not even list an RMC, and then build one any way. I wasn’t asking you why you asked. It’s a good question and people are gonna speculate endlessly until it’s announced.
I can't believe more people aren't talking about RMC son of beast. It seems so obvious looking at all the leaks
Yeah, but most people already have videos about it so they don’t feel the need to make a video. Just a post is fine.
Only one group can march son of beast and that's gravity group as for vortex it be a copy of copper head striker
Sounds like a solid plan to me
@@CoasterNerdzz like you said cedar Fair has very good relationship with both company's and happy of there work
@@CoasterNerdzz cedar Fair / six flags needs to build a water park near your home park like Busch gardens offers you multi park passes in Williamsburg for water country usa your home park needs a massive water park like water country usa so are you following the daily chapters of the big bad wolf from Busch. Gardens and the bells on front of the old mach tower
I love hearing all these rumors about a new roller coaster coming at kings island.
Same
If true this could be exactly what KI needs. They have a really strong lineup of "very good" but nothing truly interesting or unique outside of The Beast. They're in dire need of a standout, inversion-heavy, steel or hybrid coaster and while I love Banshee, a new RMC creation would certainly push KI over the edge to fill in that missing gap.
Yeah, the rest of the coasters don’t really have the feeling of being an elite coaster
The thing everyone’s been asking for I’m crying tears of joy
You and me both brother
I hope so, they need a new coaster
Yeah, and hopefully a world class one as well
They had a new coaster recently. A NEW coaster isn’t their issue. It’s a LONG, drawn out, INTERESTING coaster, a groundbreaker that offers something that nothing else in the park offers. KI is very much like 6FGAm; monster lineup, on paper, but nothing that’ll truly leave you completely floored & ravenous for more.
@@TheNinthHeart yeah, we need something that’s top 10 or even top 5 worthy
@@CoasterNerdzz they attempted that, with Banshee, which was a complete face plant, and one of the biggest head-scratchers in recent coasterdom. Didn’t make much sense then, and makes even less sense now. When I look at B&Ms lineup, I see ONE coaster that I’d place in the top 5 (Flying Dinosaur, which is easily the greatest thing they’ve ever built, and admittedly a top 5 steel coaster in the world; it’s wild what B&M can do when they’re paid to take big risks; problem is, it’s much cheaper to go with another company if you want something groundbreaking & blisteringly intense) & in one in the top 20 (Falcon, which is a Wingrider, ironically, albeit the tallest & longest/most intense Wingrider they ever built), both located in east asia. No one taps B&M for a “knock your socks off coaster” anymore, and so it was extremely disappointing to see KI opt for Banshee & Orion (especially when diamondback is right there) & to see 6FGAm opt for Wrath Of Raksasha….especially when both of those parks offer probably the least amount of ejector airtime of any major coaster park on the planet. Does KI even offer any ejector? I guess there’s some moments on Mystic Timbers that could be considered ejector, even if it isn’t true ejector, but at least 6FGAm have an RMC (even if it is the worst RMC alongside Joker).
I like the idea of building a brand new Son of Beast from RMC. But I have to question why they wouldn't have done that while the original was still standing. I also have to wonder if this happens, whether they'll do that first or build something where Vortex used to sit first.
RMC had only done one conversion when SoB was torn down. No one expected them to be as successful as they are. Sure, it's obvious now, but it wasn't then.
Probably Vortex first because more people want it but hopefully in the future they’ll finally use that station
I'm sure since the rise of RMCs popularity, Cedar Fair are kicking themselves for missing the opportunity to convert SOB.
A lot of the problems with the original Son of Beast were the result of shoddy structural construction, it's likely that it would have been a lot more work than it was worth to convert it. I know they eventually converted another poorly built RCCA coaster (Iron Rattler) though.
The structure was not built good and had a really hard time staying together that’s why RMC wouldn’t of touched the original structure
Can we let Carowinds get a coaster please. It's been since 2019
But-but you guys have Fury
@@CoasterNerdzz you guys have Orion, 3 actually good wooden coasters. A better hyper. Admittedly a worse invert and more unique coasters than Carowinds. Also that was during the investments of the 2010s for some reason it stopped after 2020. It's kinda sad. But I guess cedar fair things it's more like KD now. A mid tier park. Honestly fury is over rated now. In the late 2010s yes it was all the rage and worth it. But there are way better steel coasters now and fury is kinda forceless for a giga. No real positives before the first drop pull out. No real airtime. A slow midsection. The only solid thing is the color scheme. Which I will say it's the best color scheme of any coaster and I will die on that hill
@@CarolinaCycloneJames I guess your right, but while we have a bunch of good coasters we need something that will leave you breathless and none of our coasters really do that
@@CoasterNerdzz maybe not fury scale but you have other rides that add up to that level over multi rides. The beast (especially at night) mystic timbers, diamondback again and Orion. I would say if it was 2019 or even pre copperhead yes Caro had the better line up. But now that's changed. I do think we need a major thrill coaster in the next year. Or else it'll definitely drop to a mid tier park. That's almost 6 years without a coaster. About the same length as KD before Twisted timbers and Canadas wonderland with alpenfury. I get other parks getting coasters but if 2 major parks can get a extreme thrill ride coaster next year right after a redo of TT2 for cedar point this year. than why not make it 3?
@@CarolinaCycloneJames true, true
A 200 foot RMC? At kings island
DEFINITELY NOT I’m not trying to to say it’s not and I’m not saying that I don’t want it to be cuz I definitely want it to be I just don’t think it would work. Now a rmc raptor or little I box track rmc as 100 - 200 ft but definitely not a hybrid sadly but it could happen
Hey, at least we might get our Vekoma launch coaster though
@@CoasterNerdzz that’s true
This won't happen. Why would you want to revive a coaster with such a tarnished legacy. It was a coaster that was unanimously hated and hurt many people. The general public would easily be confused by the new ride and would be extremely hesitant about it. It would be horrible marketing. Plus, the box legit says "KI Haunt" on it. How can you even make a video about this without mentioning the obvious. As much as I would want it to happen. The whole Rivertown Mining company thing is just a play on words to troll us. Cedar fair has been known to do it. Look at the carowinds Hurler refurb, they said it was undergoing Routine Maintience by Carowinds. and they highlighted the RMC, but its just them toying around.
No
Why not?
@@CoasterNerdzz All the teasers are just Outpost 5 easter eggs, which have happened at the park before SOB even existed. It's lore from the park from the 80's. The "RMC reference" for Rivertown Mining Company is not a reference to the company. It's a shop that was in Diamondback's spot that was build decades before RMC was even a thing. These are just haunt decorations with some mild easter eggs that the park does all the time.
@@WapoStudios man, I was out of video ideas, I just needed to something to post

this isn’t happening, iv chatted with a KI employee and he says it’s just not happening

Too bad, RYAN. My dad owns Microsoft and he SAYS kings island IS getting an RMC of a 20 year old coaster 😒😒

I’m only interested in what the Dippin’ Dots guy knows. 😆
I doubt many employees have been told anything about a 2026 coaster. It’s probably a very very short list you could count on one hand and it wouldn’t be the level of employee that’s going to tell anyone about it.
