I'm sorry but it doesn't work. if the watch is in a reboot loop, it does not detect the phone and after switching back on, it goes into the same loop, so the settings cannot be changed. However, the video and the text are not consistent, this is a faulty watch in the video, so it is misleading.

So I have had the same issue this week due to too much moisture.
    What worked for me:
I let the watch die completely and rest out on a flat surface in a dry, cool room for two days. After it sat out I set it on the charger and it started to charge and act as it should. So far so good, I'm going to try to not let it get too sweaty or wet again.
    Hope this helps.

Did you experience any touch issues? I tried your method and it worked but now, I can't operate (i.e. touch screen) the most right side of the watch, and it toggles in and out the watch often.

I think I am missing something. My Active 2 is in a continuous reboot loop, meaning it is refusing to reboot. It doesn't look like your watch was in a continous reboot mode. Tried holding down both home and back buttons with no results. Tried holding down only the home button with no results. In fact I can't even turn it off. Tried leaving it on charger overnight, and the battery got very hot. Thanks for any hints.

I had the same problem and fixed it today. I let the battery run to 0% with its rebooting and then let it sit for a few days. Then I put it on a charger and it started taking charge so I knew it was not dead. After it charged for like 7% I booted up the watch using the bottom button, the one with the red ring. And it booted. Hope it helps and best of luck!

My galaxy active 2 watch had the same behaviour after taking it swimming in the pool in a hot day. The temperature contrast probably made some contacts disconnect inside the watch, which causes the reboot loop. Power button does nothing. Leaving it on the charger does nothing, other than being able to restart the reboot loop by pressing the two buttons. I don't think anything other than taking it to a repair shop can help, and it's very frustrating.

@AESTHETICCosmopolitan happened to me today! Looked it up. The chlorine will cause corrosion in the watch. I read that if you open it up, you can clean all that with 91% and above rubbing alcohol. I read to comments and said that one used canned air to spray out the water. Someone else let it sit in rice for a couple hours and it worked fine. Really trying to find a solution before upgrading

My galaxy watch active 2 have an issue with screen showing "Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 and rebooting..." Stay about 4 seconds with this message and the screen turn black and return to previous state. I tried many instructions but in my case have a complety different situation that many videos are showing how to fix. What shoould I do? Did not install any app, just cleaned carefully with water and some soap , finally dry with soft paper. The battery always worked fine.

Just left in the charger a long time and screen turnoff. So I have it was working fine, showing the screen and I have done an option to recover with new smartphone, watch have done backup and restart. After this just update software (Android\OS). Now it's working fine!

This might be fine if you have enough charge in the watch. If the watch is completely flat then it's all over because the watch will keep going through a boot loop and never actually recharge. If the watch can't recharge then you can't do anything to fix it.

I could fix it by putting onto charger, while the screen was black (several seconds after rebooting dissappears).
I tried it by putting on charger as the screen was showing "rebooting", it didn't work and the watch was still in this death loop. Then I put it off the charger, waited until the screen went black and put it the very first moment it was black onto the charger. It worked. What caused the issue, have no idea!
