If you find decoys on sale with holes in them, then you can use the great stuff waterfall foam (Black in color) drill two holes (head and tail on top) and then fill them with foam. One can will fill about 12 decoys. Let it dry and cut and sand off the excess. We can just get a little acrylic paint and paint over the black foam coming out of the holes.
I picked up full body quilted scent lock cover alls $25, 12 mallard decoys rigged and in a bag for $100 . Now to get some more.
I like your spread at beginning o video just a tip I learnt from my dad's old timer buddies...leaving a void in the middle of the set ...it presents a clear landing spot for birds coming into your set...they land alot closer If there's a full gap down the middle

I live in upper Michigan and there is very few outfitters and hardly any outfitter stores. Do you have any suggestions towards what site to look on for Canadian goose hunting shells and silhouettes?
Hey Bobby, I'd love to see a video on how to start goose hunting. I'm an avid duck and deer hunter, but I've never hunted fields for geese. Do I need to go all out and buy a few hundred dollars worth of gear before I go out for the first time?

love these videos...Im also from central Ks...just really getting in to water fowl .last yr tried goose...only got 2 out of 21/2 boxes of ammo...not sure what im doing wrong...this yr im trying duck. got 12 deeks for duck and 24 for geese...going to try texas lake for teal in sept. and Cheyenne bottoms for mallards. any advise for newbs as 2 others will be with me with little to no experience hunting duck and goose?
Congrats on hitting 1K, Dude! That's awesome!! Got a question for ya: what are your thoughts on silhouettes? I don't have a solid posse that I can rely on every time. I got some guys, but it's hit and miss on available schedules and hunting locations, so I've been amassing my own spread. I'm up to about 120 full-body darks and 60 shells. I just dropped some coinage to add 120 silhouettes. As a kid back in So Ill, the boys killed plenty of birds over silhos. I've been hearing they're making a small comeback simply because they offer a different look and not a lot of guys are using them. They're cheaper, lighter, and take up less space, so I'm gonna give it a shot in 2017 (mixed w/ fbs of course). So, anyway, any experience or thoughts on silhos?
You said it perfectly and your idea is spot on. We have used them and they work great as long as they are used as fillers. Try to refrain from setting them on the outter edge of spreads and you should be golden.
Silhouettes kill geese.. period. You dont need to use them as fillers. They are just fine by themselves. Realgeese are deadly and I can get you a great deal if interested

I got a few Canada goose socks they look pretty good but I find in low wind and no wind days we have to stuff them with Grass lol... but they look like lesser Canadian geese
