Glass like this is a really great idea for a curved screen like this. I've applied it on my OP8, and I can highly recommend it. Perfect fit, also on the edges, no changes in screen brightness, responsiveness or the fingerprint scanner performance. The process itself is very easy. 5/5, will do it again.

@@jjakobe I did but maybe it's the cheap tempered glass I got. Maybe it's best to get a more expensive one. I definitely know the one plus does not have the most sensitive display. Samsung phones work with any type of protector even the optical sensor
I'm worried about the glue getting in the earpiece... How that works?
@@arifuzzamanaman I've installed glass like this 4 times on my phone and never had any issues with glue getting into earpiece. If I saw any glue leaking from under the glass I just used an edge of paper towel to take it off before exposing it to UV light. To be honest I'd say there is nothing to be worried about

I remember gluing glass on the OnePlus 5T. The edges are badly glued. Processed with PVA ( wood glue) it dries and becomes transparent. The glass still holds . 2 years have passed.

Guys, I just got my one plus 8 two days ago. The tempered glass and the back cover is very important. The ones provided by the company is not at all safe. I dropped my phone on the very first day, fortunately nothing happened. The first thing I did next is getting protection. Spend a good amount and keep your phone safe.

Also you cover these things up when you apply it and after you used the UV light the glue is hard
Dont use UV light more than 1-2 min ur screen may get flicking problem. I have suffered while applying glass to my OnePlus 7 T pro

I have waited for 5 mins to spread the glue itself but it didn't work out. Then I pressed the glass, the glue started spreading and again it came to its position as I release the pressure. This is how I wasted all the glue and Rs.800. Is the glue available online? Somehow I have saved the glass and cleaned it.

its vey good I have applied today on my one plus 8. perfect filling easy installation but take care of the glue I can go into the speaker mine also went little bit so I suggest cover the speaker before applying glue rest it is very good product value for money good touch response

Coz tempered glass is not of great quality as compared to mobile screen( very smooth) .

It's a resin that solidifies when comes in contact with UV light, it act's as a glue for the protection tempered glass

I put this one on my OP8Pro the liquid may damage your scren in future and.. after several days my front camera are blur due to no hole in that glass for punch hole camera.

Yes this guard is durable and not get scratched. Fingerprint scanner working fine even after six months. You should keep the speaker covered during applying the glass.

The liquid you saw was uv activated resin. The resin creates a liquid layer between the screen and the screen guard. Then the light cures (solidify) the resin.
So it's not really a gimmick.. But if you know how to apply a glass screenguard without a bubble.. This shit is absolutely worthless.

@@rude1802 not really the case, I've applied a lot of screen protectors and the ones with UV activated resin is less prone to releasing from the screen and sits more firmly. Especially when it comes to curved screens 😊

because this tempered glass is a Indian company sells exclusively for Indian consumers
no difference in glass, difference is glue used. the glue used here is cure only when uv light applied. and it is strong also. normal tempered glass has glue comes in edge only. and that will lift very easily

very risky. my whole uv gule is wasted just cz of 1 spot in center. holding phone with uv glue may risk its color removal also.

Does tempered glass work properly on a curved display?? I had once applied on my old S9+ but the touch did not work properly and it came off when back cover was applied. And now 8 pro's display is dramatically curved, more than that of s9+. Suggestions are welcome.
For my OnePlus 8 they didn't cover the earpiece, glue filled inside the earpiece, anyhow after cleaning the glue it's working fine. But earpiece holes are filled with glue which is looking ugly

1.Face unlock in not working
2.The front camera later(18-20) get blurish appearance and its a major issue.The photo was not clear

It fked up my friend's screen once! He had to replace the whole screen which costed around 180$ for a 700$ phone.
It's better to break your screen instead of applying these.

Do not use liquid glass like these uv glass .. its liquid damage your phone .. recently my phone power button jst came out because of its liquid .. my phone is s9 plus and literally it may cost be huge amouny but my insurance cover my replacement amount .. it may look very luxurious but it is really harmful..
