ASICS have released some killer runners recently, the top three for me would be the Novablast 3, Glideride 3 and Nimbus 25. I think Glideride 3 is my number 1 pick as most cushioned daily trainer
I walked into a sports shop to check out shoes for my daughter and I was drawn to these shoes. The white colour and the fact it said ASICS gel nimbus. Many years ago I used to buy ASICS gel nimbus as my staple shoe for running. I was soo shocked at how different they looked compared to back in the day. The owner of the shop mentioned the shift for thick soled runners. I’ve been running in a pair of nobull runners and haven’t bought new runners in awhile. I tried these on and I was sold on the comfort and the look of it. As someone who wants to get back into running these seem perfect.
@@DaveTheRunner ended up going back and buying them. Wore them for a walk with my daughter and puppy and they were soo comfy. Can’t wait to break them in.
Only have 21 miles in the Nimbus 25, so far, but I love them for easy/recovery runs! You said it well: super smooth and comfortable. I haven’t ran long in them yet, but am curious how they would feel for easy long runs. Any thoughts on what this shoe would pair well with?
Here in Portugal they cost 200€. There are better less priced options out there! Got the invincible version 2 for 41,99€, before version 3 came out. Thats my verdict about the Nimbus 25. Even the superblast does a better job for easy paces. Got them 50% off!
@@DaveTheRunner For me the most important aspect, is that they provide superior protection for the legs. they work for me at different paces. In the begginning they feel stiff. After 50 kms or so they soften up without sinking too much on the foam and give a good amount of energy return. US Men 8,5 230 grams. They are very Breathable, good for summer and have a durable outsole. Very stable for a shoe with so much stack height. keep in mind that i only got them because i had a cupon with 50% off. I dont know if they are worth the 220€ retail price!
I'm waiting to see some more reviews on the Puma Magnify Nitro 2. Early reviews have been promising and it seems a little better for one-shoe rotation guys. The Cumulus 25 looks great but I wish Asics would put some better outsoles on their shoes. The outsole on the Kayano 30 looks decent.
If you stand all day be nice to your feet. Yes Nimbus would be great for that. I too stand a lot at work. I wear Kane recovery shoes or my NB fresh foam. I’m thinking about getting a pair of Nimbus if they ever go on sale.
im ttrying to deciede between the Nimbus 25 or the saucony endorphin pro 3 for a gym/daily running shoe. Have you ever compared the two? if so which do you prefer?
I haven’t worn the pro 3, but I can say the nimbus are super comfortable for day to day activities and gym 💪🏻 unless you’re doing squats ect where you’re better off wearing a flatter shoe
@DaveTheRunner I literally just bought a pair of these yesterday. Mainly for durability and cushion. I'm not a runner I'm an obese walker and being overweight I find that running shoes hold together far far better than other styles. Thanks for the review.

The glide ride is even more cushioned ? That’s wild ! How do they hold up at a moderate pace ?
MINE were half bald after 200, great but needs 20%more rubber
Maybe my foot strike makes for less wear 🤔

Agreed, great shoe 🙌🏻

Just bought a pair for $160, thought it was a great deal. Keen to put them to work
Let’s go ! Bargain
which store did you buy it from? that was a super good price

Love it mate 👌🏼 It definitely still performs on the easy long runs! It’s still my shoe of choice for that

You honestly can’t go wrong with that deal haha! I’m itching to get my hands on some superblast, do you love them?

I’m also intrigued by the Pumas! Let me know how they go if you end up copping 🫡
I’m thinking of buying this shoe. I’m a nurse, standing and walking 10-12+ hours, do you think this is a good shoe for that purpose?
I can say that they would be very comfortable, but I can’t vouch for stability standing on your feet all day.
@@DaveTheRunner what shoe do you think has that stability for long hours with the comfortability of Gel Nimbus 25?
Take Nimbus 25...nice to stand all day long...i just bought it few days ago

Pro 3 is a race shoe. It has a carbon plate shorter life. Why would you get them for gym and walking around? I’d get the Nimbus.
Are the colorway you bought women's specific, if so did you have to size up?
These are men’s shoes :)
Do these fit true to size?
Yep! 🙌🏻 In my case they were
For me no, the got too much cushioning at the heel which pushes your food forward.
For context i got the metaspeed sky in an 11 got the nimbus in a 11.5 and took them out for a long run and have destroyed both my index toes.
Hi, what best daily trainer shoe for u? (Plate and no plate); Thanks!
Non plated - Hoka mach 5 & plated - adidas pro 3
@@DaveTheRunner thanks bro
great video what socks are u wearing with the black line?
I’m wearing the performance socks from LSKD 🤝🏼 use can use the code : davelskd for 15%
@@DaveTheRunner ty sir
Dave, did you go half size up? I wear US size 8. Should i get 8.5?
I reckon they were tts in my opinion
Best to go and try them on 🙌🏻
Great video , but one more cons for this shoes is not friendly for overpronation & flat foot runner as me
Just look forward for their Kayano 30th
I can see how that would be a problem 👍🏼 the new Kayano look very nice 👀
Can i know that is this shoe is good for 800m race or not
I wouldn’t personally use this for an 800m race or any race. It’s more of a max cushion easy paced shoe
Can you suggest any shoe for 800m race
Is this a good shoe if you are on your feet all day at work??
I think they would do the job 👍🏼
That stain at the toes is asphalt from the road it will not come out sorry.
Fair enough 👍🏼 apart from that, they clean up quite nice, even after 850Kms

@@thegreatwalrus153 love it mate! Enjoy the shoes 🙌🏻
Just have ordered one for 85 EUR.
Unreal 👏🏼
Too damn expensive....I have the Nimbus 24, and those are great too...cost 1/2 the price.
I worn mine for over 500Km now and they are still in really great condition. So I’d say they are pretty decent value
Theres more expensive shoes out there with a lot less comfort lol
get yourself some fz150 and save yourself 150 bucks
I haven’t heard of those ones 🤔
Asics dropped the ball AGAIN w/ the cheesy outsole.
I personally like it
