This was the best tournament ever. No #1 teams made it to the final four and 3 different teams made it to their first final four: Miami, SDSU and Florida Atlantic. More importantly, we bid a march madness farewell to Jim Nantz after 37 years doing this event
Every time this starts I instantly tear up as somehow someway if I could hold it in I could, but it’s just incredible that it’s literally the best! Jim Nantz View behind his Spot capped it off perfectly 💙 Nothing better!!
"Hello Friends" Man I love this tourney more than anything!! Fairwell Jim Nantz, announcing for this tourney won't b the same without you. We salute you!!!
Truly a tradition like no other. A special shoutout to my Aztecs, who, despite being outmatched in pretty much every game talent-wise, stuck together and made it all the way to the championship, coming closer than any other team to beating UConn. What a tournament though. Now comes the hard part of having to wait until next tournament
@@odoaiden3525 okay...? then what happened? it's literally irrelevant if they got it to within 1. Doesn't matter. They couldn't compete and that's the facts, I hate to burst your bubble.
So proud to be a San Diego State AZTECS fan! What a great team - a great coach, great players with great character... They're everything good about college basketball. UCONN was the best team on the court this year, but San Diego State still had an amazing season that built on the last 24 years. This is a legitimately big time program. 3 years ago they were National Championship contenders, and that promise & potential was realized in 2023! No one gave them a chance to get past the Sweet 16, but hard work and dedication paid off big time. Steve Fisher and Brian Dutcher have built a great program at a great school.
The perfect farewell bid to a legendary March madness career of Jim Nantz. He’s given us the most iconic calls in the history of this tournament, and games that will never be forgotten. Without a doubt, the greatest announcer in March madness history, nobody will ever come close. Thank you NANTZ for an incredible 37 years of broadcasting, I am fortunate to hear a voice like him for so many years. “Goodbye friends”
This is not just "one" shining moment, but millions. Think about the hours of work all the players and coaches and staff put in to getting into this tournament. And how many young men start out when they are 3 or 4 years old with a basketball in their hands and hope to shoot the winning basket one day? Just as a heard when I was young, these men are a credit to their family, community, schools, themselves and their country. Thank you for helping to make America the best ever!
I always look forward to One Shining Moment every year. What a great way to capture all the moments in the tourney. And this year, with so many upsets, is a special one. Thanks to the creative team who worked hard to put them together, year in and year out!
Tough to say goodbye to Jim Nantz. Also super proud of UConn, been watching since I was kid in the late 80s with my dad. Can't believe we went from winning the NIT back in the day to winning 5 championships in 20 something years.
Every year I got chills watching these moments. Imagine coaching all these kids n giving them hope to live out their dreams. What a reward on both ends
This makes me cry every single year. Just seeing all of those young men being able to participate in the tournament and getting to be on such a big stage gets me all misty.
This year's March Madness was the most craziest tournament in years. A No. 16 seed winning in the first round such as FDU upsetting Purdue, Florida Atlantic being the Cinderella team going to the Final Four, and so much more.
Nantz is one of the best play by play guys ever and has done great in the tournaments for years and it was incredibly classy when Hill and Rafferty were bidding him farewell and he said thanks but this time is about this game and not me.
This tourney had me realizing ppl say they want Cinderella’s but the views say other wise even tho the final four was a thriller UConn v SDSU was a 5 point game wit like 5 minutesleft
Still the best thing in sports man. Pros and all. The grit, heart and soul these kids put into trying to win it all for a school that gave them a shot for their one shining moment is undefeated.

Perfect way to incorporate Jim Nantz into that final line, "The Journey, it ends right here.", while showing him watching. Enjoy retirement, Jimbo. You will be missed. Class act all the way for a number of years.
Miami ACC regular season Champs and Final Four team, what a dream season but they ain't done coach Larranaga is building something super special down here.
I've neVer seen a team like Uconn dominate as they did in this tournament. I mean every player contributed. Their bench was outstanding. Sonoco was a beast. I'll have, whatever they were having!
I never knew March Madness would be this crazy, from people going rage angry for losing, to players attacking their opponents, to buzzer beaters, to UConn winning five titles
My Texas Longhorns and my Houston Cougars are still the best teams in college basketball this year in my opinion despite not winning the National Championship this year.
All we need is a one shining moment specifically for Jim Nantz. What a legend he was.
He was all class too. His final game and he still says that this is Uconn's moment
"The journey, it ends right here." Jim Nantz, THANK YOU
Man that line combined with the shot behind him at 2:37 had me tearing up. He will be missed
Yaaaaaaaaaaas! Especially with him in the foreground 🎧
Bro, I was thinking the same thing. Kudos to the producer that lined that up. Chills.

Nobody did it better than Jim Nantz
Best tournament ever? No shot
@@cfbfanatic5898 you do not know hoops, anyone who actually watches college hoops will tell you this year was insane.
Naw it’s better if there is 1 Cinderella team not 4. The woman’s final four was way more exciting this year.
I think it’d make the case for the best if the championship was better. Everyone knew UConn was gonna win and they did fairly easily
Did I shed a tear after Jim Nantz's sign off? Yes.
2:39 That shot of Jim Nantz from behind was such a nice touch
Probably the greatest moment and craziest run in San Diego sports history. Proud to be a San Diegan!
Incredible. I tear up every year watching this
it never lets us down

I'd watch.

Congrats to UCONN for winning their 5th 🏀 national title
And just like that... The dance floor has closed once again.
Congratulations UCONN, you've earned it once again.
See everyone next November.
Sandiego state has nothing to hang their heads about what a season great game
no one performs this song better than Luther Vandross (R.I.P.)...amazing vocals
Love how they had the SE Missouri St mascot in the first shot, when the Pitt logo falls off the wall
Makes me laugh every time.
Who is here in 2024 to hear Jim Nantz's final again since we won't hear one this year from him?
I don’t this will ever not be my favorite march madness ever.
The beauty of the tournament summed up by yet another great One Shining Moment.
2:39 "The journey, it ends right here" from the dulcet tones of Jim Nantz, describing his career with the tournament, as well as this game.
