There was that brand (O+) many years ago that had these features. I think they called it "the air shuffle". It lets you change the music you're playing, photos, radio, camera, etc. Sad to say they vanished. Haven't heared from them in years.

I think that's the same with pixel 4 and now with huawei. It isn't intuitive to wave at a phone. I guess these companies will use this expertise to make it usable on ar glasses, hopefully.
