Was Dave a long distance hauler in a Semi for his job? He handles that rig like a pro. We went through there when we were camping at River Forks Park in June. Happy Birthday Karen, mine was on the 7th. 😃

Dave's the man! We manage so many USFS campgrounds that were never pruned for big rigs over the years, so I am always taking my pole saw around to remove that under 14' limb that surely would be a reason for a 4-letter word. Then I chop it up and deposit it at a secret location the Ranger uses herself, LOL! -Dave
Funny you mention that, because we asked if we could cut them down with our pole saw and they said "no, if the Ranger heard the saw, he'd go ballistic". Go figure.
@@WattsOnWheels Yeah, they want me to submit a form for every limb I cut, but very few Rangers are RVers, so many of my cuts are clandestine. Argh.

Great video that would be a great place to stay in November if they were open. We were planning to stay near Helen cause my wife wanted to see the lights for Christmas. Stay safe and God bless.

We always called this our shakedown cruise before heading over to Canada on Lake Ontario for the summer. Stuff always breaks after non use times. Now ready for a longer trip. Take care

Great review. We go there all the time. The fishing is amazing…..big stripers and spotted bass…..but boat traffic is bad on summer weekends and holidays. Favorite places to eat are Fish Tales, Pig Tales, and Pelican Pete’s (across the lake….short drive by boat).
It is such a pretty park and everything is near by. Love the lobster bisque at Fish Tales. We are walking distance to Fish Tales from the houseboat.
Dave, how many beers for 3 fixes..!!! oh you can’t take any alcohol in the park.Lol..!!!

Last time i stayed at that campground we were in site 42. Woke up in the middle of the night to a crazy storm. Winds were so strong coming right off the lake hitting the side of the rv making it rock like crazy. It sounded like a hurricane outside. Same exact thing happened the very next night after that. It was a scary event but we still enjoy going to that campground and staying on Lake Lanier.
Was that in August 2 summers ago? We had 2 days of very bad storms. So many times the storms go around us, but when we get one, there is little warning and BAM we get hit. ua-cam.com/video/NHctZgo5d-c/v-deo.html

I went back and looked and did not see dogs prohibited...just liquor and day use is prohibited. It actually says "Pets Allowed". Click on "Facility Information".
