This is more than a sound check, it's a rehearsal. He's practicising exactly what he is going to do in the concert, where to move, how to move, all the attitude, facial expressions, etc. It's like he has to learn it off by heart to get the body memory down. Also he is giving the cameramen the opportunity to fine tune their positioning, take their sweeping shots etc. It is all part of the meticulous attention to detail in every live performance that he does. One last run through, including the thanks at the end and bowing to the audience. Magnificent!
Dimash lives music. He understands very well what his voice needs and pampers it suffciently. But its such a well oiled machine he can do 3 hr concerts....with 9 minute songs included. He lives a clean life. Free of drugs, drink, smoke, or bad diet. He swims a full lap underwater olimpic size pool. Genetics, lust for life. Good soul. Everytime I watched your reactions, I've noticed the header in the chat, about you being an independent artist. You must appreciate the fact that Dimash is also an independent artist, because he wants 100% creative freedom. He emphasized in several interviews that he wants to be the one deciding what to sing and how to sing it. He also wants to determine the arrangement and all the other choices involved. That doesn't mean that he doesn't work together with professionals, but he wants to have the last say. He works together with music producers and labels, but they don't own him, he will never sign an exclusive commitment. His father is his manager and producer through their own DimashAli production company.

Don’t worry - he is warmed up, because he said in the morning he is practicing after woke up and if possible he takes a few rounds in the Swimmingpool to train his lungs 😂 He also said before a concert he is training up to 10 hours and then he avoid speaking at all. Hi! Dimash is crazy about perfection. That's why it's dificult to find any live performances with "mistakes". I did see this soundcheck yesterday and I know him since 2017, but was still amazed! He works very hard! He does vocal training EVERY day for about 3 to 4h. He's always traveling between so many countries and still did a Master degree in composition and he's finishing his PhD in musicality (or the other way around) in this or next month. He travels to performe, to receive awards, to help people... He just went to meet the president of United Nations and he´s an embassator to migration from that Organiation. I am so happy that you are saying what you are because there are always those who say that everything that Dimash does is not singing live, because they cannot believe that Dimash IS THAT GOOD!!! Yes, he does all that he needs to do to protect his voice, but this many sings all of the time and practices no less than 3 hours a day, every single day and has for years. Don’t worry - he is warmed up, because he said in the morning he is practicing after woke up and if possible he takes a few rounds in the Swimmingpool to train his lungs 😂 He also said before a concert he is training up to 10 hours and then he avoid speaking at all. I am assuming the sound check is also a part of his training.

Dimash has no choice but to perform his soundchecks with his best singing because he knows that someone out there is going to be recording him and then sharing it on social media (as here). He doesn't ever want to look like he's doing something half-heartedly. Professionalism at its finest. We should all take a lesson.

Anyone who has been following Dimash for a long time won't be surprised. Dimash is always all in when it comes to music. He performs because he is a perfectionist in a certain way, but, and this is even more important, because he simply has a lot of fun doing it. And he also proves everyone who ever claimed he was just pretending to sing wrong. He has been accused of lip-syncing a few times because so many people don't understand how good he really is.
I mean, sorry, he warms up his voice with The Queen of the Night. Who does that? He is music in every pore of his being.

Zarina Altynbayeva, a Kazakh soprano opera singer, worked with Dimash one time. He'd been requested to sing a duet with her during his time on "I Am Singer" TV show in China. Later in an interview, she related how much she worried for him after this experience. She told the story of how Dimash flew from China to Kazakhstan for this performance, and went straight to rehearsal. She said she'd never seen a rehearsal like this one. She said a singer always holds back during a rehearsal, but not Dimash. She said he goes all out 100% every time he sings, whether it's a rehearsal or a soundcheck, and he never says "no" if asked to sing. She said, ever since that experience she worries for Dimash. That was seven years ago, and nothing's changed. If there's anything to worry about, we haven't seen it.

Hi! Dimash is crazy about perfection. That's why it's dificult to find any live performances with "mistakes". I did see this soundcheck yesterday and I know him since 2017, but was still amazed! He works very hard! He does vocal training EVERY day for about 3 to 4h. He's always traveling between so many countries and still did a Master degree in composition and he's finishing his PhD in musicality (or the other way around) in this or next month. He travels to performe, to receive awards, to help people... He just went to meet the president of United Nations and he´s an embassator to migration from that Organiation. He's such an amazing human being, I love him so much. Bye from Portugal.

Quand je vois Dimash chanter à pleins poumons à chaque occasion, à l’instar de Zarina Altynbayeva, je suis inquiète: je pense à Maria Callas qui avait l’habitude de faire la même chose avec les conséquences qu’on connaît mais elle était malheureuse, trahie et isolée alors que Dimash est extrêmement bien entouré, équilibré, croyant. J’ai foi en lui, je lui fais confiance et, par dessus tout, je l’aime! J’ai 61 ans, mon rêve est de le voir en concert et je compte sur lui pour m’enchanter jusqu’à la fin de ma vie. 😘♥️✨
I love that you had to keep reiterating that this was a sound check. 😂 Honestly he roes so kany things that I cannot fathom as a performer, including singing from his knees or sitting down! HOW???? I love him, he's so genuine in his performances and I think videos like this show how much he was born to perform.
I saw an interview with his mother that said, as singers, they had been trained to sing in many positions, even laying down. She was not surprised at all that Dimash could sing hunched over or jumping.
I agree a 100%. It really shows what a perfectionist Dimash is and it's another example of him walking that extra mile to give the best for his dears.

Yes, it was amazing. Our Dimash NEVER does things by half. Incidentally, his soundcheck from his Almaty concert is mind-blowing, as well. Not only does he sound great but he also does "soundcheck" for some of the instruments... with his voice.

I am so happy that you are saying what you are because there are always those who say that everything that Dimash does is not singing live, because they cannot believe that Dimash IS THAT GOOD!!! Yes, he does all that he needs to do to protect his voice, but this many sings all of the time and practices no less than 3 hours a day, every single day and has for years. most of the world is lazy. that's why its hard for some to believe that a person can excel to a higher level bc they don't know what its like to work hard and once you get past working hard, to work even harder, and then to work at your hardest. they excuse themselves with nah i work smarter not harder. that's a gimmick. to attain your best is to work hard at outdoing yourself each day. laziness, the bane of the human race.
