Fly Fishing for Bonefish in Kiribati - Christmas Island

Follow me for the few minutes leading up to hooking and landing a nice quality bonefish. It took a lot of walking to getting here, and there were also a lot of missed fish. Bonefish are incredibly hard to spot and also spook easily.
They are fewer in number after COVID but significantly bigger than I remember. Bonefish are catch-and-release and have more value as sportfish.
This is a raw, unedited video, with crappy audio including all the coughs and sniffs and small talk. No music or any of that stuff.
