My husband was rated nehmer due to hypothyroidism and has been with severe memory loss, and Parkinson’s signs and symptoms but was denied for benefits because according to the VA letter after being rated Nehmer, that he should’ve filed the claim a year after his discharge from the navy to qualify for agent orange benefits. I was denied service connection for presumptive agent orange exposure - hypothyroidism on 2/24/21. I already have a service connection for a different presumptive agent orange exposure.VA is not recognizing hypothyroidism.
It is the government process. Add three conditions in 2021 and then figure out how to work the claims. Look at how long it took for the Blue Water Vets to start getting compensation after that law was passed...
Filed claim for hypothyroidism in 2017...denied not service connected. Filed again 01/2021 and denied again as not service connected. I'm already receiving comp. for Coranary Artery Disease presumptive to AO exposure. I guess VA hasn't received the news yet.
My late husband passed away 4 years ago from agent orange, ( lymphoma ). Now I have been diagnosed with it. Just a coincidence ? I was never in vietnam
no one dies from agent orange. its not a condition or illness, its an herbacide chemical that can cause parkinsons and other disabilities and/or illnesses as well as death. if you have lymphoma, but never were in viet nam during the war when they were distributing the chemical, then you have it by other means.
I had kidney cancer in 1977. Kidney was removed. I was part of a large class action suit. Never received any compensation. I am currently rated 40 % disabled for diabetes and ischemic heart disease. Does the bladder cancer addition help me ?
Was the water in camp Pendleton toxic at anytime. I was stationed there in 1979 to 1980. Also was agent orange stored at camp Hansen and camp swab in Okinawa. In 1978??
Pendleton water is known to this day to be carcinogenic. I was at Pendleton last in 2019, the water tastes like milk, white with a lot of “minerals”. Also there is a really high chance there was agent orange in oki in 1978, not only stored, but most likely used in training exercises. The leatherneck who did my urinalysis at Pendleton had cancer. If you swam in the delmar jetti you’re exposed
My husband fathered 2 children while in Vietnam. His CO verified he helped deliver the son. He also verified that the children were put on a chopper with some Belgian nuns. Phil Donahue had a talk show in the early 1980's and my husband contacted an attorney, who was on the show helping Vietnam vets find their children, who were brought to the US. The attorney found their birth certificates registered in Taiwan. According to the VA, my husband was never in Vietnam, and claims no service connected disability. How could he have a CO if he wasn't there??? My husband suffered from Parkinson type symptoms, as he had severe tremors in his hands. It got so bad, he could barely take a pinch of snuff without someone holding the can for him. I believe the medication they gave him is in with his collection of pill bottles I saved. When I searched his records, the meds list was missing. The explanation was they removed his name from the pharmacy when he passed, and that removed his meds list.
Do you have a link to the addition of hypothyroidism to the list for 2021? When did they do it? The internet doesn't seem to have any info. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism but was denied for AO tongue cancer. Now I wonder if I have a new path to victory.
