Long live Motorhead!❤🤘
Paul sounds like Jerry Lee Lewis, Phil sounds like cranked Chuck Berry, Lemmy sounds like Lemmy. Perfect. I saw this the night it was first on. This is my favorite late night musical performance on any show.
I'm glad you liked it and got another chance to see it. UA-cam will eventually block this (all of the Letterman stuff that I post eventually gets blocked). When they do though, I'll just repost it to my website.
@@wvmonster Thank you for this, this is amazing time travel:) Cheers!
Agree
Lemmys mic is like those high up handle bars on a chopper bike.
Says a little louder, their loud as hell, was deaf for at least 3 days after seeing them. Cant love this enough, rock and roll Motorhead style.
The look Lemmy gave Dave.
Why thst look ?
@@JuanSchapiro Dave got the name of the album wrong.
Letterman never talked to them backstage apparently and probably didn't like them.
Talk show hosts not talking to guest backstage is common. The idea is to avoid having conversations before the show that could and should happen on the air.
This performance rocked. I watched the night it first aired and have always remembered it.
@tamalie2 dude, you're so wrong
Almost ALL talk show hosts, or their producers, or staff do a pre interview
Just cover a few topics that can be brought up during the on air.
Especially comedians... the host sets up the comedian that way to do his bit
Do any kind of research and you'll find the same info numbnuts
Regular bass player on the back. The killer bass player on the front haah.
Seen them only weeks after this TV appearance. At Raiders Club Queanbeyan New South Wales. Lemmy looked down at me in my HAWKWIND t-shirt. He said: "hawkman this is for you"
They broke into
Too Late... Too Late...
And that's how you play lead piano...great job Paul!!!! Motorhead rocked!!
I wish they had recorded this song and released it officially
They did. (Well the head cat did)

Lemmy had a rockabilly side project called The Head Cat, they have a pretty kickass version of it.
This is bare bones kickass rock and roll.
This is a gem, thanks so much for posting, Motorhead for life!
♠🤘♠🤘
RIP Lemmy! You are missed!
1000% Rock n Roll.
That was great!
Looks like the most fun the Letterman band has ever had
That versatile Paul.
Seen motorhead so many times but this is very rare and that bloke on keyboards was all in considering they never had a keyboard player and the other standins did well. What a great couple of minutes considering only Lemmy and Phil were the only members playing.
When Lemmy starts you can only hear him and his bass😂😂😂😂...Epic...
For me this really showed Phil's contribution to Motorhead. If someone else was singing I probably would have remarked that it sounds like Phil on guitar.
No comprendo fácilmente el inglés porque hablan muy rápido pero me encanta este programa. Long Live Rock And Roll!!!
Some play lead guitar. This is a perfect example of how to play Lead Bass.
fantastic
Lemmy just pulls the trigger and off he goes man
Ah, but you left out the bit the came after the commercial break. Lemmy's sitting next to Dave. Dave says, "Well, that was nice, but if you do that again, we'll ahve to close the youth center". Lemmy says, "Well awright!" and they roll the credits.
I think Lemmy said, "Why?"
The best song they ever had on th show, Lemmy th master 😎
This reminds me that Sid McGinnis always seemed to be undermixed on the Letterman show, like whoever it was who was doing the audio never seemed to understand it'd be nice to be able to hear the guitar when they're playing a solo.
i always asked myself why i feel so much for Dave Letterman, now i know why
Niente male😎
The world will never be the same again since we lost Lemmy
🤘❤
Awesome sound. RIP Lemme.
LFFM Lemmy Forever, Forever Lemmy
😄 Saw Motörhead at SRF 2005. 🤘🏻
Crazy
Another Level ♠️😎🐠👈🏈🏉🏈🏉🏈🌌🌌🌌🌌🌾🌾🌾🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🌲🌲
Γειά σου Lemmy άρχοντα
There's those white boots
Fuck yeah
Underrated comment, because this is exactly what I say whenever I load this vid up and give it another listen (for the 1000th+ time)
Classic 🔥🔥

Hej ess god from the start!!!!😭😭😭😍😍😍
Fucking badass.
Paul is tickling those keys silly!
Poor Sid. No volumes. 😢
WTF 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊😎😎😎
Bloody racket .
where's Wurzel and Mikkey???
Mikkey hadn't joined the band yet. According to @miko-rowerem-po-holandii Wurzel and Philthy couldn't get visas, which is why Lemmy and Wizzo played a cover.
Sounds like everything is clipping, must’ve been loud as hell!!!
Who is the guitarrist with the yellow guitar?
Sid McGinnis
Lemmy looked pissed when he walked out. The remark letterman said must had pissed him off.
One of the reasons might have been that the album they had just released titled "1916" and not "Motörhead", as Letterman said.
I had to fast-forward over Letterman yapping away just to hear golden god Lemmy rock his badass self 🤘🙏🌹
Not exactly Motorhead but...
Was there a particular reason why the regular band played with them? And why they didn’t do one of their originals?
If I'm not mistaken, Lemmy explained this is his book. Part of the band had some issues getting US visas (drugs possession or something). And Lemmy decided that if the band is not complete, they'll go with a cover.
drugs dont work, 😂
The vocals suck. Give Bob Seger live a listen---either in Detroit---or even better yet, Boston.
