So both of you appear to be health conscious, just curious. What grocery stores and restaurants do you shop and eat at in the Catawba County Hickory area? My wife and I normally have to drive to Morganton, Mooresville or even Asheville or Winston for this. Such as Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter etc. Publics is ok but the quality and price can’t match the others. Just curious what you opinions are on this issue. What are your clients telling you? I feel this a big void in our area but don’t understand why with the current growth. You opinion is appreciated. Thanks G Little
Hi @kellylittle7780, thanks for your question! We completely understand the desire for more grocery options in the Hickory area. Lowe’s Foods is great for everyday shopping, and we do stop by Publix sometimes too. Anytime we’re near a Trader Joe’s, we stock up-so you’re not alone in wishing we had one here! Hickory residents have been vocal about wanting Trader Joe’s, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see one pop up soon with all the growth happening. We also love supporting local. The farmers market offers fantastic local produce, and there are some great plant-based options in downtown Hickory, like Plant-Based Bossfor when we eat out. It’s true that nearby cities like Asheville and Charlotte have more variety, but Hickory is definitely on the rise, and we’re hopeful for more choices to come. Our clients share similar sentiments, but many are excited about Hickory’s expanding options. Hopefully, we’ll see even more as the community continues to grow! Thanks for reaching out, and let us know if you have any other questions!
Moss Creek is a great neighborhood in NW Hickory! In fact, it's close to Publix and all the Viewmont area shopping. Beautiful homes! Not a ton of market activity out there in that neighborhood though... People who live there just don't move very often ;-) ...they must love it too! :-)
@@LifeInNC I am looking to fully retire in two years. My ideal house is a rancher with a basement and 2-6 garage stalls. Moss Creek seems to me like a good neighborhood and location, but maybe they don’t have that style of house there? We do prefer single level living, with basement storage. We do love Pub Subs - Viewmont is our kinda place!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
