Up until 2001, women conscripts served in the Women's Corps, commonly known by its Hebrew acronym, CHEN. After a five-week period of basic training they served as clerks, drivers, welfare workers, nurses, radio operators, flight controllers, ordnance personnel, and course instructors. As of 2011, 88% of all roles in the IDF were open to female candidates, while women could actually be found in 69% of all positions.
In 2014, the IDF said that fewer than 4 percent of women are in combat positions such as light infantry, helicopter or fighter pilots, etc. Rather, they are concentrated in "combat-support".

Great information and data to share but did you REALLY have to include the footage of them showering? How demeanimg! It's a real shame you felt you needed to "spice it up" and sexualize in order to get people to watch. As a female IDF veteran, I find it totally inappropriate. I doubt you would have felt a need to include similar footage if it were about male soldiers.

the number of nudity pictures could have been cut by 70%. On the other hand, as a male, when looking at a documentary about male football -players or SEALS-training I would also include some nudity for 3 purposes. 1) Showing the frailty in such a harsh environment, 2) showing comradeship despite possible shame for nudity/violance/dirt/discomforts/dangers. 3) showing part of the physical side of trained and healthy people (bodies) in contrast with jobs in offices, shops and other comfortable sheltered places.

This is all just so sad. Historically, an army of past that took itself SERIOUSLY was wise to forbid women in armed forces... For many very good reasons... which that fact that women in armed forces is so ubiquitous is proof positive of the INSANITY of our time:
- The average woman has 40 percent less upper and lower body strength than the average man.
- The average woman has 20 percent less bone density than the average man.
- Men have a significantly higher amount of the hormone "vasopressin" which is the hormone that helps men bond undertaking a task, achieving a goal, or enduring stressful situations together. Where women have a significantly higher amount of "oxytocin," which helps women bond through intimacy and close interpersonal connection.... Not exactly the traits most militaries are find appealing for their fighting forces.
- The average man is 5 inches taller than the average woman.
- Men's center of gravity is in his chest (like a hammer), where women's are in their waist... Which is why they tend to make such great gymnasts but have no weight to shift in the upper body to help handle burdens their muscles otherwise wouldn't be able to alone... like in men.
- Women experience periods... Which makes them hormonally unbalanced an entire week out of the month.
- Men have twice as much muscle and half the body fat of women.
- Men have interlaced collagen bonds in their skin; which makes their skin slightly thicker, stronger, and more resistant to temperatures. Where women have parallel collagen bonds; which makes their skin softer and have that "glow" that men's do not.
- Not to mention that many current military and veterans admitted to me (men and women) that there is a quiet epidemic of sexual assaults and sexual assault allegations ALL throughout the armed forces because of it. Which no one wants to shed light on.
All of this is before getting into the mental, emotional, and MORAL reasons why women in armed forces is a very bad idea.
Look I can keep going on and on. And no, this isn't about one sex being better than the other. That's equally inane and insane as the pathological egalitarianism that has infected the minds of so many in our time. Men and women are both fantastic... within the roles are a clearly DESIGNED to excel at!
