Typically, youtube will just place an ad or a link to the music in the video. They actually make money from fan videos and I believe the song artists often do as well. There's also usually ads to download/watch Lucifer, so these videos are also a great way to bring in new fans. :) Thanks again!

I will also add that one of the reasons I've followed your videos for years ( and I do mean years, I met you originally when the the internet was a baby and we were in some Forever Knight community together) is that you have an unmatched sense of timing and your videos are just so fluid and beautiful.
Emily, that is SO amazing! Thank you so much for following my work all of these years. It doesn't seem that long ago, but I've been editing since 2001. I'm sure you remember my first website was the FK one Knight Vision in 1999 (it's still online though I don't really update it anymore). I remember when vidders had to upload to various servers and sometimes the speed sucked for downloading. No streaming. UA-cam makes it so easy now! Though, I do remember when youtube was really strict with music. Things have definitely changed a lot! I feel old! Haha! Anyway thank you again! That means so much!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!! I have a technical/sound question for you! I noticed that the first part of the song around :16 - :27 or so has the background sound "enhanced" for lack of a better term! I LOVE that you did that and it sounds better than this same song sounds posted on Placebo's page! How did you enhance the background "vocals" in that first part of the song? I must know!
Thank you so much! I didn't "enhance" the voiceovers or song. I did lower the music levels during the voiceover bits though. Just adjusted the volume in Premiere. I didn't add any echo or reverb effects.

Aww thank you! :) I try my best. Sometimes it's a bit tricky. I often discover great music just from the show. It's rare for one show to have such an awesome soundtrack. Placebo should be on Lucifer officially someday. ;)
