  • Ah! The old debate continues. In my personal opinion I don't think that there is a right or a wrong choice between limb vs cable rests.
Cable driven rests are nice because you can pre-load them before any action happens in the field. The biggest downside is that they can be a pain to work on in the field if something goes wrong. Such as if string is cut going to the downward cable.
Limb driven rests on the other hand are easy to work on in the field. EXCEPT the ripcord LOK rest. That is a pile of junk. Anyway all you need is some d-loop materiel, tie it to the top or bottom limb, make sure it's tight, then you are back in business!

My first bow came with the whisker biscuit. Notice the more I shot the arrows the shaft would start getting roughed up like going through sandpaper also the vanes started curling. The last 5 years I have been shooting the QAD with out any issues. I just purchased the new Mathews V3 31 and still have my Mathews Creed as a backup bow. So this time I purchased 2 Hamskea Trinity on both the bows now. I want to try to keep everything very similar in case I have to switch.
