If there's one industry where large women are appreciated it's the music industry: Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan, Jennifer Hudson (successful before her weight loss), Adele, Tank and the Bangas (you should check them out if you haven't heard of them). And not to mention all the gospel singers!
