Congratulations guys, you have performed one of the most challenging songs by the great Paul Simon my idol since the 80s, I saw Simon live for the first time in 1991 with that magical world tour that went all over the world and recorded live in The Park New York, then I saw Simon live many times and I also had the good fortune and honor to meet him in person and shake his hand both he and his magical band in 2008. Well done guys greetings from Italy. Francesco........😉🤘🤘
I used to say, this song can't be done without Ladysmith Black Mombazo, but you guy do it so good!!!
Just extend this and keep it going forever :)
I play around with my bass (not fretless) on this song. I love the album. This was a great rendition. I have just started my own worldbeat band that plays music inspired by Africa, the African Diaspora, the Middle East, and India.
Thanks Kije! That's great... best of luck with the band! :) Any cool videos on UA-cam yet?

Sounds great!
You guys still in Bristol?
My daughter is there... She's a singer studying at BIMM. My parents were apartheid exiles, so I was raised on S.African music... Kwela and Mbaqanga...So I made sure she was too, and she loves this song... Look out for Hannah Law... I'll make sure she looks out for you .
Hi Neilandfi, thanks for you message... just checked one of the videos of your daughter singing on your youtube channel... she has a great voice... very talented!! I (the guitarist ion the right) no longer live in the UK and we're all doing separate things at the moment, but we have a bunch of gigs booked for end of Sept early October, 2 in Portugal and we're also arranging a few dates in Bristol... so if all goes to plan we'll be around Bristol and the UK for a few weeks in October this year... pass on our email to your daughter mankalaband@gmail.com, we'd love for her to get in touch, maybe come to one of those gigs... Blessings.Chris-Mankala
@@TheMankalaBand I will do so. And given half a chance, I'll come see you too, although my home base is in Stourport, Worcs for the moment... Maybe Matt Worley , local bar owner and guitarist in Rob Plant's "Saving Grace" could book you when things ease up? Great contact to have... He knows everyone, and he's a really straight player.. No bull sorta guy.
