I had no idea Netta was half Sephardi from Morocco, I thought she was Askhenazi! Maybe we are related? 😅 My family is from Morocco and Algeria. They came to Nothern Brazil in the end of XIX century after the latex boom. I am very curious to do this test, I wonder what would be the results. 😊😊
@@dzdz6102 True. But the Sepharadi have a higher intermarriage rate where the children maintain a jewish Identity. Not enough that the two communities were genetically identical.. but enough to have a resemblance.
Ok so she's 51.4% Sephardic 45.4% Ashkenaz 1.7% Baltic 1.5% Lepricon BUUUUUUUUT 100% AWESOME. Lots of love from an Ashkenaz girl in the USA LOVE YAAAAAA
Awesome video! I just hope Neta realizes that all of her ancestors--whether from Poland, Morocco, or Libya--were all Jews and share most of their ancestry despite cultural differences. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if her paternal grandfather is where she gets the small amount of Baltic and Irish ancestry, which probably shouldn't be read literally but might indicate some intermarriage within the past few hundred years in Eastern Europe.
Well, yes, but they and Ashkenazis are still very close genetically. Sephardis are a bit more Middle-Eastern. As the two populations have lived in different places they have picked up different influences but but the base is pretty similar.
I know how she feels. It is amazing how we find so many interesting facts about our ancestors, by building our genealogy tree.
