Byrne didn't understand that the knight on b4 was actually passive. If he wanted to improve his prospects on the king side, he should have started by rerouting the knight there.
What a boring game, both player scared to attack and agreed to a draw with most of the pieces on the board, that's a joke. You got to do better than that to get anybody to watch games like this. The last game I saw on The Master Game was just as boring.
