  • We set out on an exciting journey from Taipei to Hualien to see the most beautiful park in Taiwan: Taroko National Park 太魯閣國家公園. Though our time in this city was limited to just a day, we couldn't pass up the chance to visit this spectacular gem. However, getting to the famous spots isn't easy. Public transportation options were limited, and most visitors opted for guided tours that we were too late for. Undeterred by the uncertainties, we decided to take a leap of faith, holding our train tickets close and venturing into the unknown.

    Our day trip was only a success because of the warmth of the Taiwanese people again. Sometimes, the best memories come from stepping outside our comfort zone.

    One of the best things about traveling is meeting and learning from the locals, and getting to know their culture. But oftentimes language is a huge barrier. Taiwan was a special experience for me because I could speak the language, making it easier to connect with the people there. Can't wait to visit again!

    Is there is any other option get helmet for hiking? Like tourist point or something? (or only these lovely taxi driver can give it?) By the way, thanks for info, useful video for planing solo trip to Taroko Park :)

      You actually pick it up at a stand on your drive in! That's where our taxi driver got us the helmets too. It's should be free for all visitors. It's here on Google map: Zhongbu Cross-island Hwy, Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan 972

    • @SGAndyAng
      @SGAndyAng 10 місяців тому +1

      @@StephanieLin For me, I tend to stay someplace strategic and explore the area around it slowly. Meaning any point should be able to get home by walking for a few hours in an emergency.
      Then move to another hub, and do the spoke exploration again. Give myself enough time as well. Usually, 3-4 days per hub.
      For example, I once walked half of Osaka on foot after dinner just to explore and reached the lodging for 3 hours at midnight. And got to really take in all the real Osaka town and street life along with it!

    • @SGAndyAng
      @SGAndyAng 10 місяців тому

      @@StephanieLin Oh come on, you don't have to do that. He can switch on Caption with Auto-translate.

    • @SGAndyAng
      @SGAndyAng 10 місяців тому

      The most is you teach him how to switch the translated Caption on.
      Use your time wisely. Such as getting another video done! ;-)

      This video has a mixture of Canon, Sony, some DJI Action 3 & DJI drone footage 😆
      But back to your question, it was rf24-70mm f2.8 for Canon & 16-28mm f2.8 for Sony. Hope this helps!

      I think we paid around $4000 NTD including tips for about 4-5 hours. We were picked up from Xincheng Station and dropped off at Hualien Station.
      You might be able to get a better deal if you negotiate with him beforehand. We were very last minute and desperate lol
