Finally found it after 35 years. Saw it on german television maybe in the early eighties. I only remember the scene at the gas station and the cry of the human and the atmosphere of the clip. Thank you.
Just echoing everyone else's sentiments. I too have been searching for this video for 20 or 30 years. I remember seeing it as a kid in the 70's on PBS but could only remember sertains scenes, like setting up a bar in the guys nose and repenting in church, and then sucking blood from the very finger of God despite being in church to repent their sins. lol Good stuff! Thank you for posting!
tedwoe totaly agree, i see it on norweigan satelite back in the 90`s, really stuck in my mind, the twist at the end is what completes it with gods finger, as you mentioned, its like instinct over thought hehe :)
It was shown on the International Animation Festival (mid'ish 70's) the IAF came on right after Monty Python. (if you were watching it in Los Angeles on PBS Channel 28 KCET. There were heaps of other great pieces of animation. One of my Fav's was Maxi-Cat.
@@erikbruner , This was before the demented moron Reagan defunded PBS by 90%, after stating that he saw no reason for PBS to exist. One of his first acts as President was to defund PBS. This was his attitude towards the general public. Programs like the IAF on PBS never would have existed had he been President earlier.
I saw this when I was a kid on a PBS program dedicated to international animation; me and my older brother thought it was one of the funniest things we had ever seen. I gave up searching for it and thought I'd Never see it again. Thank you for posting this.
thank you for upload!! been searching for many moons, since I saw this on "International Festival of Animation" on PBS in the late '70's. this was a big favorite!
That's exactly where I saw it too! I still remember that cute woman with the sexy accent introducing it! I can't believe you actually remembered the name of that program.
Like a lot of people I have been looking for this for decades. It was shown in cinemas in Britain as the accompanying feature for the French animated movie 'Fantastic Planet' in the mid-1970s. Nearly 50 years later I finally find it on UA-cam. Brilliant! Thank you!
I too dimly recall this from the 70's. Thank you so much for posting it! Brings back the memories. Still as bizarre as I recall it from nearly 50 years ago. :)
your welcome, amazing how good random animation sticks in your brain, creds to you for even finding it yourself :), i see it many years ago i think it may of even been on norweigan satelite at the time or swedish because it was the in thing to do eurosat hacking back in the day, i allways laugh with my dad over it, how they all repent except that one who wants a quick suckle of blood lol
@@Loopcats if i remember right it was on a website, cant for the life of me remember which though, probably gone now, its cool when you find something so obscure yet it sticks in the mind like its familiar, i find it amazing others find the upload on youtube too, good to see people got a little nostalgia trip too :)
I'm amazed I found this. ALL I remember from when I was a kid, was the last scene, where the mosquito had a giant finger pointing at him, and he secretly decides to take a drink from it. lol. I first thought maybe it was part of "The Point" cartoon. It's amazing when all you have to do, is Google, "1970s cartoon God Mosquito" and after a few trial and error attempts, I found a message board that described the very scene I remembered. Fortunately, someone posted a link to this very video.
