I find it really comforting how Jhené said she didn’t grow up being a performer and doesn’t see herself as an entertainer. I also want to be an artist but I didn’t grow up being trained performing (mainly because my family didn’t have money, but also my family wasn’t supportive.) Nice to see someone with a similar background be successful and fulfilled.

Jhene feels like my best friend even though I've never met her, her music feels like advice to me. It's so honest and raw, yet it chills me out. I also have crazy respect for how real she is, she seems very genuine all around and I don't see many people in general like that these days. As a mixed Asian gal myself it makes me proud/satisfied to finally see an Asian/Mixed person make it in the mainstream and I'm really happy it's her because she's paving a great way for other Asians and she's setting a great foundation for more success. you are both a body and a soul simultaneously. yes you are a spiritual being having a human experience, i know what you where talking about at the end lol tried to slip that one in there.. hahaha i knew you where spiritual because you have the exact same personality as i do. i stumble over my own words sometimes too, when i'm talking to new people, i can relate to the anxiety of it also, the strangeness of the fact that you aren't nervous but it is just simply hard to express yourself to people aside from through your art. i also carry that same exact persona/vibe, i never comprehended why people liked me until i began watching your interviews and then i saw myself, it was like looking in the mirror. i too am an artist, along with many other things, but i also take pride in being very spiritual and carrying myself with enough love to give to everybody and everything. i love people i just hate what they choose to do, but i still leave them to choose. i know this will resonate with you when you see it. i am a guy btw so it was different seeing a woman that has the same personality, but they say "as above to below." everything has an equal too it, on the opposite side. good, bad. up & down. even 2 sides of the brain that are different in functions. idk.. it was a cool realization for me so i had to post it. i have a counterpart that i actually know of. awesome.
