MONTY was UNIQUE!!! Not only VERY good-looking, he was also truly gifted as an actor. Even after his accident, when he made just a single scene in Judgement at Nuremberg, he was astounding on-screen and did deserve to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor 👏👏👏
Thank you for this great montage of a magnificent subject. Monty Clift was a one-off - a singular talent and beautiful, complex man with enormous emotional sensitivity.
If I could have known personally anyone from the golden days of Hollywood, I would choose Montgomery Clift. It is a shame that his flawless face was damaged severely in that auto crash. He was truly beautiful in face and form and IMO, one of the greatest actors of American cinema. Thankfully we have his brilliant films with us.
@@cosimoepicoco7022 I know that. I did not say Clift died in a car crash. He was in a car crash that resulted in him having to have his face reconstructed. He never looked quite the same after that. He was still handsome. He basically died of alcoholism.
A REMARKABLE ACTOR. IN HIS YOUTH, A RARE HANDSOME FACE MADE FOR THE SCREEN . HE IS ONE OF THREE THAT FALL IN THE SAME CATAGORY. BRANDO, DEAN, AND CLIFT. ALL THREE LEGENDS. ABOVE THE ACTOR'S BENCHMARK. ALL THREE LIVES MARKED BY TRAGEDY. THEY WILL "NEVER" BE FORGOTTEN, OR DUPLICATED.
Fascinating how all three knew each other. I’ve got pics of all but Monty and James together. But given their mutual friendship with Liz Taylor, I’m sure they were good friends. If not more. 🌈✌️
@@CollidePress Dean's intensity and passion for their work frightened both Brando and Clift. Not sure Clift and Dean ever met and think Brando and Dean were only photographed together on the set of East of Eden. Taylor found friendship with Dean during the filming of Giant but found him difficult. Unfortunatly he died before the film was even released. Monty was her closest male friend and she probably saved him more then once. Photos of Dean and Brando together are unfortunately doctored.RIP all 4.
Love the montages on individual stars especially. Any chance of Alain Delon? Think I've watched all Collide Press offerings. Many more than once. Wonderful and many thanks.❤❤❤❤
He was a very handsome man and great actor. Unfortunately, he was tormented by inner demons like so many in that era (and many today). The video was great, including the nice music. Thank you.
Wow Clint, im not into the 'star' thing and i dont believe I've seen any of his films deliberately but I'm aware of his name if not his fame. From the montage he had a more ruggedly attractiveness rather than a 'pretty boy' attraction. But what a rug of chest and back hair he had and when he was allowed to keep it rather than shaved/waxed etc. All my own POV of course. I see you were experimenting with film speeds too. Almost thought it was AI motion 😎 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
Monty was more complex than most for sure. Hairier too, which is a plus in my book. As for experimenting, always tweaking the recipe. Not opposed to AI (use it as a “base coat” for colorizing) but none in this one. Just regular slow-motion on, if you can believe it, animated GIFs. I think it’s fun.
Thanks for making this. Always been a fan of Montgomery Clift- such a handsome guy, excellent actor, and I love the intensity in his eyes. Wonderful!
Thank you, Shaun!
The handsomest man that ever lived.....absolutely GORGEOUS. 🥰
L'amour existe même à travers les Années qui passent. Les beautés des Hommes.🥰😍🥰😍

Wow!!! The Cameras Loved Him!!!! What A Man!!!!! The total package.....
I agree 100%.

Forse hai fatto un po' di confusione, Clift è morto per un'attacco cardiaco.

Thanks, Kevin! Great idea...I know there are LOTS of great photos of that handsome, talented man. Appreciate your suggestion.

He seems like a sensitive soul and is likely why so many remember him so well. Not just his beauty and sexuality, but his soul and talent too.

Well said. He was a bright light for sure.
