All begin in 2010, the team was in a corruption problem with fake games and was relegated to China 2nd division. Then Evergrande Real Estate Group, very rich company buy the club and spend money to buy big names and make a strong team. In 2011, Muriqui, Conca, sign for Evergrande with Lippi as coach. They will then win 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Chinese league... Just amazing... They had won also the 2013 AFC Champions League, with Conca (3rd best paid player after Messi and Ronaldo) and they had Barrios earlier in 2013. After win AFC title, the club buy in 2014 italian superstars Diamanti and Gilardino. The team with chinese players don't change that much many years, and the team still grows up. In 2015, Lippi is replaced by Cannavaro, but don't stay so long time. In May 2015, Scolari become head coach and buy Paulinho at Tottenham for 14M euros and Robinho from Santos. Guangzhou make the whole world surprise in August 2015 when they win in friendly game against Bayern Munchen.... It was amazing. The club also got Alan (2015 europa league top scorer), Ricardo Goulart (very good brazilian) and... Our god Elkeson. He came in 2013, and he is the spirit of GZ team. He scored 2 goals in 2013 AFC final against Seoul. Top scorer of Chinese league during 2013 and 2014. Guangzhou now dominate Asia, but they want the world know them.

***** No it's not. The FIFA Ranking system by divisions is the best way to measure a teams form and compare them to other teams in the same division. There is nothing more important in football than form and nobody in Asia has form like Iran does. If you ask most Asians which team is the best in Asia, they would most likely say South Korea. However, Iran defeated South Korea 3 times in a row in the past 2 years and finished ahead of them in every group we've been together with. They literally cannot get past our defence, their players are too weak but for some reason they score very easily against other countries. Iran on the other hand plays like that against every country. Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria, Mascherano couldnt get past our defence either, Lionel Messi scored in the last minute of the game from a long shot, he didnt get past anybody, he just longed it and it ended up in the back of our net. There is no doubt that Iran has the best defence in Asia.

i think group stage is evergrande's slump. they did very well in tournament. their defense grow better in semi final and final round.
