Dude, you want to be a beginner for as long as possible, there’s literally not a single negative aspect to anything he said in this video, being able to make gains session to session, not having to worry about diet etc. It’s all positives
Everyone needs to start somewhere, but you can always spot the newbies from a mile away. Especially at the beginning of the year when everyone is trying to stick to their New Years resolutions. That never lasts very long though. 😂
crazy that this applies to me but ive been lifting for around 2 years. i guess injuries will do that to you lol. if you want to make huge gains on your upper body... dont dislocate your shoulder, folks.
I've been working out for a year and a half and have been making quick gains. I would say that I am still an intermediate partially because I am good with RIR. I also wan't making crazy gains when I first started because I didn't challenge myself enough.

if you're a newbie you shouldn't be going to a gym buy some weights and do everything at home I'm advanced.. think about it why do you need to go to a building to run and lift weights when you can literally do everything from your house that can save you from 200 to 500.00 a year food and drinks are 300% increase. I know my gear doesn't have someone sweat and other bodily fluids all over it.. all you need is two dumbbells a weighted vest and a resistant will.. it's more about your nutrition and protein intake.. gyms are a scam unless you're planning to be a bodybuilder to make money
not everyone has the space in their home to dedicate to dumbbells and lifting equipment. happy you've found a solution that works for you and saves you money but there's no point in disparaging other people's fitness routine
@@JessieHaycraft Push ups are great. I do calisthenics at home. But to truly progress push without getting into super high rep ranges (and muscular endurance instead of hypertrophy) it is hard without other equipment. I needed paralletes to advance my pike pushups and those take up a lot of room. And there is very little options for doing progressive hip hinge exercises. I also use kettlebells instead of dumbells to advance some body weight exercises and unless you buy some really expensive adjustable weights, just a few kettlebells/dumbells will start to eat up your space if you need a good range for different exercises. Mine are scattered around a few different rooms because I have no space to put them all together.
I know I'm a newbie because I still watch picturefit :)
With anything in life, you are always a student.
Any athlete is still reviewing and looking for ways to improve
I’ve been hitting the gym for two years, lost a bunch of weight, and half of these still apply to me

I feel like a newbie because my numbers suck, but I’m not because my progress has stalled.

@liamout you mean to tell me you don't have room for two dumbbells 🤣
The gear I have can literally fit in an apartment bathroom 🤣🤣
And the most effective workout doesn't even require any kind of gear it's called a push-up
