I can see why you had to bake two of them! Chess pie has been my favorite since a kid. But never heard of chocolate chess pie before. Will need to try this.
I love chocolate chess pie the first time I ever had it was when I moved to Tennessee. First time I ever heard of it. I can't wait to learn how to make it thank you I heard chess pie or chocolate chess pie has cornmeal in it but I see yours doesn't. Do most of them have the cornmeal in it?
The name chess pie supposedly came from a man traveled through the south and went in a restaurant, he asked for pie and the lady gave him a slice. He asked what kind of pie was it. She said, just pie. He thought she said chess pie. That's where the name came from. Lemon, chocolate or just plain.

Do you have a pie crust video?
Yum
Self rising flour or all purpose?
The name chess pie supposedly came from a man traveled through the south and went in a restaurant, he asked for pie and the lady gave him a slice. He asked what kind of pie was it. She said, just pie. He thought she said chess pie. That's where the name came from. Lemon, chocolate or just plain.
Never had this but it kinda looks like a brownie filling, would that be what it reminds you of or am I completely off base?
it's is not quite as dense or cakey as a brownie. I guess it is just more like a custard but just a tad more dense.
hope that helps
The pie looks delicious! Are you sure you didn't add some giggles to your recipe? LOL
Do you have to store pie in the refrigerator?
No, it will keep either way
Yall are so hilarious. I love every video you do girl. Ur husband is a hot. I live in yadkinville NC. Not too awful far from asheboro. Love and prayers to y'all all sweet angel baby girl. Ur amazing doll.
I meant it husband is a HOOT, NOT HOT.
Do you have to use whole milk?
No you can use 2% also
❤️🙏🌸
If you mix cocoa powder with sugar as your first step, it will break up lumps in the cocoa.
Leslie that pie looks amazing and simple...QUESTION: Can you substitute the flour as a thickener with Corn Starch, and if so how much would you recommend so the pie sets up? You two are hilarious.
I've never tried it with corn starch so I don't really know how to advise
A little jiggle is good because the pie continues to cook after you take it from the oven.
who is bubbles is that you lesley??
Yes, it's was my grandbabies call me.
We like cauliflower and broccoli .... Steamed with LOTS of melted Velveeta ALL over it.
Yum
He’s funny. But rude to do that to your pies😀
Bryant is going cut off he’s tongue. Lol just think u want have to listen to him. Just kidding.
