At 6'2 200lbs, my 2022 W800 fits my size, shape and older age, and is so fun to ride.
How about the Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special
Wish Kawasaki would bring the W 250 to US. I would buy one.
KAWASAKI W800 ,Amazing bike!!👌👍
I always liked those. Pretty rare in USA and expensive
The Kawasaki W800 is my choice with no close second. Wish I wasn't so damned old, otherwise I'd buy one.
I hope your photographer's back pain has a cure, you realize that these beauties have sides, right?
Most photography was done from above, as if someone was too lazy to bend and get some photos from a lower viewing angle.
Love these bikes
The W800 is gorgeous, reliable , great sound, and fun to ride! Need more ?
yes.. higher frame for tall riders
The problem with this, and so many other videos, is the misuse of superlatives. Is it really useful to use “best” to imply ranking without applying similar performance indicators for each bike? That quibble aside, interesting comparison - thanks!
I'm sure the Enfield was the 120 year anniversary edition from a couple of years ago.
Hey - you forgot the iconic Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. A pure British old school classic design with absolute modern technology :)
There are few I’d consider for one simple reason, most do not have fenders, at least not much of a fender. And I surely would not pay for black wheels on a motorcycle or a vehicle.
This should be titled best upscale retro cycles. Only mentioning royal enfield one time in an article about retro motorcycles with no mention of the already iconic classic 350, new for 2022, is a huge oversight!
W800
Kawasaki for me please!
Ok but how about Honda CB 1100 ????
The W800 is a true retro bike. Honda's CB1100EX was just as beautiful.
The trouble with the W800 is that it is not available in the U.K.!
Click bait - shows W 250 but not shown in clip.
Many manufacturers put on a round headlight & call it a retro.
I’m seeing last year’s models
Cheesy AI narration..."abs" brakes, not A-B-S. This always cracks me up.
We used to say in 70s , We've got the C.R .A. B. S. Hey ho.now let's all sing it together 😂
well quite expensives bikes.... not for everybody
#1. Sportster with factory carburetor
#2. BMW opposed twin
#3. Moto Guzi perpendicular V twin
If I was younger this W would be my choice.
The W800 is a fabulous retro, the Yamaha well just isn't.
Here are shown some motorbikes which are far from classic.
Only the Kawasaki and the Royal Enfield have a classic look.
And there are a lot of others which are not shown.
No Moto Guzzi, no Jawa, no Honda and a lot of others .
So for me it's a totally senseless video.
900 Kaw could be included.
all these britsh bikes got good cus honda made the 350 and 450 which were smooth dependable bikes. I can see the 350 in all of them, except none of those brits would have ever seen 75K with only maintenance and tires It could have used a front disc in the Twisties but if you only went on local streets the drum was good enough
looked everywhere for that yellow/gold thumbnail W800, is it coming to uk?
There is no yellow W800 from factory. The 2024 model in the US ist that on the video, the 2024 model in EU is black/red. As far as i know, the W800 is no longer availabel in GB
You should check out the Kawasaki w650 if your in the market to buy.I know they don't make them anymore but they got the retro look and reliability down better than others
Triumph thruxton❤❤❤❤❤
Kawasaki Z900rs ??????
How about a 900cc single cylinder ??
It can't be done Mechanically. Any 4 stroke over 250 CC is going to be a shaker and a notorious vibrator. It will shake you silly. Any only single 350 is going to vibrate your hands silly and it gets annoying. You can pull it off with a 2 stoke better. They do not rattle as much when you get into the higher CC with a 2 stroke. They make very smooth street bikes. You could make a 900-cc single but it would not be feasible because it will shake you to death.
Spring suspension 😮
As opposed to air, or hydraulic for instance? 😅
$ per cc, the BMW is the cheapest!
No Moto Guzzi's ??? Oh right this video is about modern stylized Retro's not true Classics :)
Yeaah, but W800 is air-cooled..
so what, it is low grunt bike, air cooled is just find for that purpose
Record at some weird bike shows in which everybody walks backwards and bikes have abs.
Honda cb1000r not on the list
In earlier Time the japanise Motorcyclec Beat the european but now the european Beat the japanese ! but not the "Gurke" W 800 !!!
Unless you make a Suzuki "Water Buffalo" there is no water cooled retro bike
Ah, the memories 💭 🏍 . I had a 750 “Water Bottle”. It was heavy on petrol ⛽️ but it was an incredibly comfortable touring motorcycle. Did my share of stealth camping with it too, wheeled it into Australia state forests 🌳, across anti car ditches, then pitched my tent out of view. Always careful the next morning to not leave a obvious trace of my being there. Never was bothered by anyone. Carried an inordinate amount of luggage comfortably.
One year truckies completely blocked off the State capital in a pay protest. Absolutely no one was getting through. I rode my Water Bottle through a 40 mile state forest on narrow paths to successfully bypass the protest. Not bad for a road bike. Mine was quite stable at low speeds, too.
Retro ???? Where's Royal Enfield interceptor or BSA ???
Bad camera angles
“Ab’s brakes”, come on man.
New Katana is not as beautiful as old one.
The thruxton is completely ruined by those discoloured downpipes!
It's called patina Nancy.😅
@@JohnCunningham-sy5ug Shouldn't be any on a new bike Mary 😚
Looks like the downpipes (i assume they are double-walled) are "blended" from factory. The same couleration is seen on the Triumph HP
@@JohnCunningham-sy5ugsome should stick to cars. And their boyfriends. 😂
That filter needs to go
I wouldn't buy any of them.
Royal Enfield is still using the rubbish fork springs too I see.
Updated design?? No, just black. They haven't fixed any of the problems.
Who scripted this video? "1, 2024 Kawasaki W800. The 2024 Kawasaki W 800..." Probably made worse by having a voice over with all the personality of a bot. I turned the audio off after the third senseless repetition.
Well, good for you.
Yeah guaranteed chras
The Katana handlebars are a shame to the original Katana which I had 30 years ago…Bicycle wheels but an amazing frame…lower those bars Suzuki!!!
I used to be a fan of retro, but then kind of got over it, but I have to say that a lot of the modern bikes are just butt ass ugly. It isn't that I am a fan of "Retro" but simply that I am not a fan of bizarre styling that seems to be the dominating style of the 2020s. Of these, the Triumph is beautiful, but not worth $16K. The Royal Enfield is a very pretty bike and is sold at a very reasonable price. Of all of these, if I had to spend my own money, the Continental GT would be my choice.
Exactly the Triumph is a really nice bike but overpriced imo and the Enfield is nice also 👍
Yeah but you will need to replace the fork springs because they are not suitable.
Too soft then transition to too hard. Terrible design.
The rear shocks aren't great. Too stiff with poor damping.
The rear brake pedal isn't great.
And the exhaust is huge and heavy.
Well nothing new there.
Thanks for blocking the views of the motorcycles with your unnecessary print box.
Yeah no hp
AI sucks …
