I really don't know anything about cars, but today I got an oil change and waited 2 hours for that and the air filter before they told me they didn't have the filter yet. I was mad they didn't tell me what the hold up was, so I told them to forget it and left. I went and got the air filter and was able to watch your video and do it myself! Thank you!
Thank you. For anyone using the AC-Delco, it needs to put in place, and then slid forward a bit until it clicks in. I needed to use a screwdriver to gently leverage it until it locked. Just look at the old one and you'll see how it has a T slot that slides in as you move it forward a 1/4 of an inch...
A great video! I need to do mine as well. The dealer wanted $70 Canadian but Amazon has the OEM AC Delco filter you show for $29. A DIY job for sure. Thanks!
Just finished putting the air filter in my wifes 2017 Chevy Cruze at 55000 miles, looks like the previous owner did not do any maintence. Thanks for the help.
You are so awesome ! Thank you i asked for my air filter to be change the guy was this car doesn't have one. I compare your video to the instructions i read on the manual and boom, i got the info i needed.
Im glad i caught your video. I saw another guys video and he unplugged the sensor on the side. Im nervous about leaving the screws in i don't want them to fall. I'll be tackling this tomorrow. Many thanks!
Thanks. I did this today on mine. Much harder than it should be. One trick for reinstallation was, I removed the plastic pin holding the inlet duct extension (on the radiator bulkhead by the prop rod hinge) (pry up on the head of the pin) so I could maneuver that a bit forward & get the inlet duct to line up again. Easy to replace this pin when done. Also... the phillips heads may be JIS, not sure, all I know is I chowdered the dam heads a bit trying to get them out & back in. Not good for future serviceability. Will try to have a better selection of bits next time I do this job.
This was just way to helpful! Thank you! Will have to replace the top cover at some point since the plastic is getting too worn out and only 3 screws is holding it down but I'll do that the nice time I replace the filter! Thank you so much for making it so simple.
Thank you so much, I’m currently overseas, and the Korean mechanics will not touch my 2018 Cruze Lt. because it’s a US version. I love to take care maintenance etc, however kind of difficult when I have no knowledge on cars. It’s expensive to hire a 3rd party etc. Thank you so much!
My wife took her car to an oil change place today. I always change the oil and do most of the repairs myself but she thought she was helping me by going and getting someone else to do it instead. Besides costing $150 for an oil change and a new cabin air filter. When she got the car home a check engine light came on. I checked the code and it came back showing an air intake air mixture code. So I popped the hood and found that when the oil change place checked the engine air filter they not only didn’t put the air box back together right but the air filter was displaced and the tabs that hold it in place were broken. Also the air box was broken where they didn’t remove the 4th screw and forced it apart breaking the air box. So since it’s 10 pm I try to go to Walmart and get a replacement air filter, fresh out. So I break out the duct tape and secure the air filter in place until I can get a new filter. After all if you can’t duck it F#%¥ it. Anyways moral of the story never take you car to an oil change place. Also my wife had to call me to tell them what kind of oil to put in the car and they spilled oil all over the engine and didn’t even attempt to clean it up. The time before that they replaced my drain plug with an impact wrench and I not only had to replace the drain plug but I also had to use a 3 foot breaker bar to break the plug loose because I couldn’t get it off and the plug was already rounded off because of the impact wrench.
Only video i've seen where it shows the correct engine and exactly what I need to do. I had a P1101 error code MAF Sensor, would it be a good idea to use contact cleaner on the MAF Sensor while it is all apart? I only have 55,000 Kilometers (34,000 miles) on it, don't think the air filter has ever been changed.
I replaced mine, awhile back, and didn't get the filter in just right, even though it seemed to go back together all right. Next thing i know, i get an engine light. Hooked up the computer, says that my mass airflow sensor was bad. Replaced that and the light was still on. Took it to the dealer, and those aholes charged me $200.00 bucks to put the filter in just right. Too bad i didn't watch your video, before i got butt-fked by the dealer. Thanks for the posting...
Well done in going to attempt it my daughter's car the check engine light keeps coming on when I had an oil change they said it needed one hoping that's the prob as I have to keep driving her to an away hospital scared it's going to break down on us 200 miles from home. The auto store wouldn't put that checker thing on it to see what the issue was cause of civic going on
I got oil change done today and my air filter changed again for the third time but the last time they did it I had an issue with them connecting it properly and they also used the wrong size causing the check engine light to stay on for a long time without anyone knowing what’s wrong so now today that’s happened again, the new air filter is causing my check engine light to stay on again ffs.
Hi I did change my filter and stuff but the problem I have now is the engine light I did use a thing for check and it say it’s the engine light So I did is take everything out and turn on and off the battery but still my engine light is still there Anyone could help me ? Much appreciated

I changed my air filter yesterday and cleaned the throttle. Girl Power!! lol
Changed the filter on my 2018 Cruze yesterday. Followed your instructions step by step and everything worked out great. Thanks for posting the video.

Thank so much ! That was the only issue I came upon , I left it in until I figured out what was wrong I will readjust ASAP !

Perfect video sir!! Extremely detailed and answered all of my questions. Thanks a lot
Also you can clean up your map sensor. Original oem filter has an extra cover over the paper filter. Thanks for sharing!

How many miles she has now?

Great video!! I love learning how to do things in my car by myself. Save me time AND money
By far the most detailed video I have viewed with very good information, It helped . Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thanks from Argentina for the video! Today replace the air filter with your video.
Changing my air filter as we speak thank you
Sir - you have just saved me some serious money - and I thank you!! 🥰

Thanks so much for posting this. Very clear and precise. Sometimes these things look intimidating, till you see what the process is. Well done...
You saved me $75!!! Thank you!!!
It's obvious you put a lot of effort into making these. Ty!
Very well done video showing all the steps. Good work!

I installed a WIX and it’s just like the OEM filter where you have to push the 2 tabs and pull up. I don’t like how that Fram filer doesn’t snap in.
Very well done. Now the job looks very straight forward. Thanks

Hello there would you happen to make a video of where the fuel filter is. I have a 2017 cruze and can't find it. Thanks for the help.

Are you sure these are the instructions for a 2016 Chevy Cruze? My car requires a flat filter not a cylindrical one.
Thank you sir. Helped me a lot.
Now I just change my engine filter..
Thanks
Thanks for the video. Very helpful
Thanks for the step by step process
Thank you so much this video was exactly what I needed and so easy
I’m having an issue where the little clip thing warps I had to replace my air filter for the second time in like 4 months
Exactly why Japanese cars are better sellers. Try changing the cabin filter if you think this was a chore. You gotta take apart your whole interior 😅.
That was very informative. Thank you so much.
This is a great video, very detailed!
Can you do a video of changing a ac compressor on a 2017 Chevy Cruze

Probably best to vacuum out the housing as soon as the top cover is taken off, tyhen go ahead and remove the old filter.
Excelent video

Nice video, if you get a chance to do a pcv valve on this car that would be great, after looking at it you will see what I mean.
So we can’t use CA12112 in it?
Very good detailed video can’t wait to change mine
awesome job dude.
Thank you so much how much it cost .
