I’m 13, male playing a coed league, these girls are around the level of all the other girls on my team. With the exception of serves. I’m previous leagues I’ve gone up against club teams, and got destroyed by a standing topspin serve that was vey painful

I am really impressed by these girls. I didn’t know how and didn’t learn overhand serve and spiking until my freshmen year of high school. Elementary was underhand only. We barely would do over on 3.
Doing summer practice as a freshman and I totally suck at spiking 😭 I hope I can pass my scrimmage tmr as defense
@@pradasphinx3409 ME TOO. I'm a freshman and I'm struggling so bad compared to these girls and the other girls at our summer open gyms. SPECIFICALLY with spiking because my grade school was no where close to as skilled as the other freshman I'm competing with😭

Number 21 has some of the best hits I’ve seen in that grade she is amazing she had some places she is going if she keeps it up 🤍🤍

Don’t follow these. (These are correct techniques)
1. Don’t pass with floppy arms like them
2. Don’t hit under the ball to the point where your dropping your elbow
3. Never freeball if you have the perfect opportunity to hit

just to clarify-most eighth grade volleyball is not like this-this is an exceptional case and they are so fortunate and i’m happy for them but to get an experience like this you much of the time need to go and find a club volleyball team. not saying that it’s not available but just hard to find, especially in small schools where you have to work with what you have whether you have athletes that decided to come out or not.
trust me i played 7th grade we won discrict and the whole season didn't loose a set, these girls are good. (for school volleyball) the girls i played couldnt even pass right i would be so happy to play one of them so then it was a fair game. then again i play for the rmr and my team is ranked 4th we had a girl on one of the best teams in the midwest and a really good setter so yeah
Agreed! Our district is lucky enough to have about 75 girls try out for middle school volleyball. Our 8th-grade team would compete with many, smaller school district's, high school teams. It's about the numbers and the volleyball opportunities in the area. I would say that 90% of our players play club as well. If you take a 7th-grade girl interested in volleyball with an average level of athletism and have her play a year of club, she'll be fantastic in 8th grade compared to those around her.
This is so true! I live in the country and have a school with about 50 kids, the only one’s interested in volleyball is my friends and theres only 4 of us who are serious about it and theres no local team :(
21 on Lakeview is an amazing server. Her jump serve is amazing!! All of these girls are practical prodigy’s.
They are insanely good there serves are awesome I am sad my volleyball season ended

I’ve noticed that there are a couple of time they don’t go after the ball, personally I think even if you don’t think you’ll reach you should still run after it
I have my first match (7th grade) this Friday, and I’m kinda stressing out so watching these kinds of matches helps me calm down a bit 😅❤

Girl #4 from Triton is a great player, she will have a future in Volleyball if she continues playing
She decided not to play volleyball once in high school. Instead she sports #10 on the JV and Varsity basketball teams.

Super talented girls! My vb season is about to start, my first tourney is August 13th. 21 on lakeview has awesome jump serves, but both teams are definitely going places!

Lakeview has really good teamwork and their setter is great. Also, #21 is an amazing player. She'll definitely get somewhere is she keeps playing.
Just recently decided I wanted to try out for my high school volleyball team this upcoming fall so im just bingeing a bunch of these gamessss. I get super nervous thinking about the upper classman that will also be trying out but also so excited to just play haahah these videos help with the nerves tho tbh it just looks like so much fun

lol ik im like 2 months late to this comment. but like- its okay to feel like that. everyone does bcuz its natural. it shows that you really do wanna play volleyball instead of not showing any emotion. but just stay calm and do your best. and if you've already tried out- then how did it go? did u make the team?

I play volleyball and I is literally the most fun game ever. Yea there are many rules and all that but it’s still very fun, if u win or lose

Damn 20 and 21 were killing it! Also 5 and 6 on blue team got some really good saves

ain't no way.. I started playing when I was in 2nd grade but I stopped in 5th grade due to covid. I'm currently in 7th grade and I can't serve a ball high enough for it to pass the net. I'll say I'm really impressed with these girls especially for them a year older than me, I hope I'll be as good as them soon:(

I quit volleyball for oneyear, and I wish I could go to the games now 😂😂😂, I'm definitely bad at over hand serves, but advice to anyone new to volleyball: DONT QUIT! Keep going, it pays off in the end!!
this is my first year playing volleyball as an 8th grader and i got on the advanced team. since its my first time playing i havent been able to get my upperhand serves over so im nervous for our first game in a week! 😳 my coach said ill be the setter and he’ll take me out when i serve but im still going to try to get my serves over in time! ive gotten so close but not there yet!!

I have nationals Friday but my main sport is soccer so I’m rly scared
If your starting volleyball, make sure to wear long socks that cover your ankles because when you slide you can get a burn on the top of your ankle and it’s painful.
Each team messed up like right when they started but they both did very good
im mad triton kept 14 benched all game. Everyone deserves a shot at the game. Unless shes injured, then my opinion may change

these girls have a lot of potential, just a lot of kid communication but over all good job! (blue team could work on getting up there to block it seems like they get there but never actually get up for it)

I’m quite sad because my school doesn’t take volleyball that seriously :( we don’t practice or even learn how to actually play volleyball correctly. Though, it’s fun watching people play volleyball tho, and maybe I’ll get in the volleyball team again this year cause it’s way easier than it should be lol-
I’m also in 8th grade, and have my first game soon, but Idk why I can to this video thinking that these girls would be world champions or something and then not being that helped build my confidence bc I now know that I’m actually pretty good for my age

I know this is a little late.. but how was your game?
Things I noticed:
Number 20 needs to pull her knee pads up, they aren’t on her knees they are below them
The blue team was playing short, but the black team was playing deep, ultimately making the blue team work harder.
Blue team barely jumps when they spike (is fine, but makes them easier to get) but nonetheless, those girls are very good at playing volleyball! And I think they should continue pursuing it maybe even as a career depending on how well they are now :)

I genuinly have a question, for someone like me who has only played a year I think I could improve much more but the one thing i dont understand is just because boys are physically stronger that should not affect a skill like passing. Although I am quite jealous of 21's jump serve.
